RACE TWO

Facing a tough gate first up for her 4YO term, TALENT TO SPARE (6) has not been seen since a midfield finish behind MOMENTSLIKETHESE in the Qld Oaks. Slammed with a tough gate for that challenge, she opened the pipes with a slick workout here and can return in style.

JASPER (7) is in search of a hat-trick of victories following successive Redcliffe wins in mare’s only company. Rolling forward to find the front last start, she kept the tempo rolling and proved too strong. The wide gate makes it tough, but her class can see her challenge.

GET READY TO ROCK (1) scored a qualifying win at The Triangle four starts back when using the passing lane to arrive. Holding on for 3rd last start, she has the gate to make a podium play.

SPIRITED BELLE (8) was buried away against the poles from this same gate last start and chased hard for the silver behind the dictating BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. Once again she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: TALENT TO SPARE (6), JASPER (7), GET READY TO ROCK (1), SPIRITED BELLE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TALENT TO SPARE (6) to win

RACE THREE

Trainer Chantal Turpin holds all the keys to this contest, producing three classy customers that all draw well. BIG WHEELS (2) was first-up from a let up here last week when looking to lead throughout over this trip when beaten a neck by WATTS UP SUNSHINE. In a cracking contest, he can capitalise.

THE DARLING (3) was sent to sit parked last start in a mare’s qualifier and was grinding it out to hold on for the silver behind PELOSI. A Redcliffe winner up the passing lane the start prior, she can be settling close to the action and with a smart record over the middle trip can make a challenge.

ADAM CROCKER (4) should take further benefit from his third up effort last time out when firing out form gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip to lead throughout. He has the early hustle but brings some unanswered questions over the 2138m.

HEMSWORTH (1) was buried in the run last start and grabbed the silver behind LOVE YOUR WORK after a sub-par effort when wide off the track here two starts back. The economical trip suits.

SELECTIONS: BIG WHEELS (2), THE DARLING (3), ADAM CROCKER (4), HEMSWORTH (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Making a triumphant return to The Creek last week, PELOSI (2) was beaten for early speed from gate 1 but had the space for the retake. Put back on the front end, she was never in danger once in front to claim her 10th win at headquarters. Taking further benefit from the run, she can beat the boys.

THREE IN HEAVEN (10) sat in the pocket trail last week when tackling a qualifier and with the perfect trip had the power to pounce out of the pocket and claim the prize. Grabbed in the last stride the start prior when trying to lead throughout, he can track into the contest to make a challenge.

CAPTAIN NEMO (4) was beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating early and then nothing made ground from the rear. 4m away the start prior when sitting parked, he can make a play here.

INFATUATION (9) has been in top form and added another minor to the tally last start when within 2m of WATTS UP SUNSHINE. Under 1.5m from PACIFIC DRUMS the start prior, he should get the right early trail to be making a play.

SELECTIONS: PELOSI (2), THREE IN HEAVEN (10), CAPTAIN NEMO (4), INFATUATION (9)
SUGGESTED BET: PELOSI (2) to win

RACE FIVE

A rare trip over the 3157m which will be a test for many of these runners. After three runs back from a spell, RED CASTLETON (11) can look to claim another feature win to add to those gathered on this track and at Menangle four starts back. Asked to work hard last start when parked, with the right trip, he can arrive.

GARLAND GREENE (12) was wide off the track last start from the mobile where nothing really ate into the deficit as MORE SHADES OF GOLD led throughout. A strong winner when parked at Redcliffe three runs back, this will be a survival of the fittest and he can make a play for the prize.

WATTS UP MAJESTIC (7) heads North for Rickie Alchin and arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories. Successive mobile wins at the Menangle 2300m when leading in each, he faces the stand for just the third time in hi career.

TAM OSHANTER (10) returns from a spell following his last start victory over the 2647 where he pressed on to take control and from the front landed the win to make it six in succession.

SELECTIONS: RED CASTLETON (11), GARLAND GREENE (12), WATTS UP MAJESTIC (7), TAM OSHANTER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (11) to win

RACE SIX

Beaten by the second line last start when racing against the tempo, IT AINT THE MONEY (5) will appreciate a front-line gate here and has the power to press the issue. Within 3m of LOMBO HEAVEN here last week, it did not go to plan from gate 6 the start prior which followed successive wins. The bounce back is on.

SMOOTH SAILOR (9) returns to Qld, joining the Gemma Hewitt barn and arrives with solid numbers on this deck with six wins and six minors. Game in defeat last start at Menangle when sitting parked and finishing under 3m from the winner, he can throw down a challenge.

SAM IS PERFECTION (4) has been finding the line in nice style in recent outings, the latest when buried against the poles before making good late metres. A solid tempo will aid his closing chances.

ROCKNROLL ICON (3) will be first up in seven weeks following his last start when not far from IDEAL WORLD. A beaten fav when sitting parked two starts back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IT AINT THE MONEY (5), SMOOTH SAILOR (9), SAM IS PERFECTION (4), ROCKNROLL ICON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IT AINT THE MONEY (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Finishing midfield last start after settling in the 1x1 trail through the run HAMMERTIME HARLEY (10) will need to overcome the map here but might have found her chance to breakthrough in this mare’s grade. Best of the rest behind JASPER two start back, with the right trip, she can arrive.

NINA SIMONE (1) was first up following a stable switch last start when holding them wide from gate 1 at Redcliffe and from the front had 3m to spare on the line. That was a sharper effort and while she will need to take another step up for this contest, the gate is a big plus to her chances.

ASHLEE NITRO (9) has placed in three of her past four starts, the latest when using the passing lane and grabbing the bronze behind PELOSI. With the right trail she can again be in the mix.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (8) will strip fitter following her latest start where she was resuming from a spell. Locked away on the poles as DANGERZONE dictated, she can be stalking the speed.

SELECTIONS: HAMMERTIME HARLEY (10), NINA SIMONE (1), ASHLEE NITRO (9), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HAMMERTIME HARLEY (10) to win

RACE NINE

A winner at two of his four starts here in Qld, STAR GALLERIA (2) comes up with the gate to look for the dictating victory. Beaten by gate 7 here last week, the start prior he pounced on the lead from gate 2 and was able to hold on for the prize in a slick closing panel. He gets every opportunity to see it out.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) was a big winner first up for the Butler stable, pressing on to the front and pulling clear for a dominant victory in a PB win rate. From this alley, he can take an early shot but the map looks to have him rolling the sleeves and needing to grind it out.

TURN IT UP (8) will get the soft trip here and although needing space, will be probing for the openings. Charging home last start when a half-head from STAR GALLERIA, he can chime in.

MISTERFREEZE (1) should enjoy the cosy trip in behind the speed from this alley and when sighting some space can be ready to issue a passing lane play.

SELECTIONS: STAR GALLERIA (2), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3), TURN IT UP (8), MISTERFREEZE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Returning from a let up two starts back in a mid-week event when using the passing lane to be under 3m from the winner, MOHS EM DOWN (10) might just get the trip to sneak home here. Just 4m in arrears from LOMBO HEAVEN in grabbing 3rd last start, he can make a play for the prize.

LOMBO HEAVEN (6) was put on the front end soon after the start over the mile last time and once in control was never in danger when claiming a 2m margin. Taking further benefit from that start, he is given no favours from the wide gate but can get in position to challenge.

ROCK BOTTOM (7) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when settled in the pocket trail and making the closing shot a winner. Not much has been in his favour since that win and the gate stings once more.

PEMBROOKS PASSION (2) makes his way back to Qld and is now in the Ricky Thurlow barn. Fitter following two NSW performances since resuming from a spell, he has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: MOHS EM DOWN (10), LOMBO HEAVEN (6), ROCK BOTTOM (7), PEMBROOKS PASSION (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MOHS EM DOWN (10) to win
