RACE TWO

LEFT IN THE WIND (5) will be well suited for Heat 2 and moving in one spot will enhance her chances. A winner at the 1780m here three starts back when firing off the arm from gate 5 and repelling the challengers for a 5m victory, the second line has beat her at the past two. This is ideal.

GRETELS GIRL (6) is at her best when up near the front of the pack and with good speed can be taking an early look to see how close to the front she can settle. Runner-up three starts back when setting the speed, she has been off the second line in both runs since. The outside gate stings.

PAGEANTRY (1) has placed at his past two starts and his focus early will be to secure the pocket trail. Chasing home behind WEASEL last start, he can be ready to make a late play.

SELECTIONS: LEFT IN THE WIND (5), GRETELS GIRL (6), PAGEANTRY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LEFT IN THE WIND (5) to win

RACE THREE

ALI DOWNUNDER (1)
settled in the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and made a closing dive to get within a head of the winner ROLAMAX. Snagged back when bumping into the gun 3YO DANGERZONE the start prior, he lands the options to capitalise.

BONNIES A ROCKIN (8) has been hitting some good areas this season, with a top-three at her past six in succession which includes three wins. Settling in the running line from this gate last start, she had the best closing speed to take a 4m winning margin and will be throwing it down again here.

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (2) was runner-up last start at Marburg when rolling forward from gate 3 to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff. Finishing 4m of LANOCH BOY, he can be close enough to feature.

MISSTREPO (3) has faced a second-line gate at her past five in succession so will relish a return to seeing the starting arm. A winner from the 1x1 trail here three starts back, she is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: ALI DOWNUNDER (1), BONNIES A ROCKIN (8), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (2), MISSTREPO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE FOUR

CANT REFUSE (3)
arrives in Qld with his third trainer this season as he looks to resurrect his career under the Donny Smith regime. Well beaten last start over the Menangle 2300m trip, he was not far away in 3rd the start prior at the mile. With early hustle, he finds the conditions to make an impact.

HEMSWORTH (6) has no favours from the outside paint and will be relying on factors in his favour. With good speed and pressure to his inside, positioning cheaply will be key to his chances. Runner-up last start over the 2138m trip when buried in the run before charging late, look for him swooping.

OUR MAJOR DAY (4) was sent on a forward move early last start in the 2360m Armidale Cup and after the tough trip, faded in the closing stages. Runner-up two back, he can feature again here.

OHOKA CHOPPER (7) did not handle conditions at Marburg last start in a heat of this series and will be better suited here on The Triangle where his record is solid. He will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: CANT REFUSE (3), HEMSWORTH (6), OUR MAJOR DAY (4), OHOKA CHOPPER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CANT REFUSE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (3) returns from a spell after her last appearance back in mid-February when finishing runner-up as a red figure fav. Starting her season with four wins from her first five starts, she has the early speed to get across them and strike fresh.

BE ON THE SLY (5) has hit a career peak at 11YO, completing a hat-trick of victories last start when overcoming gate 6 to score. Sent forward to sit parked, he proved too tough in grafting out a half-neck victory. This is another step up, but he has the confidence to challenge.

BETTING BARON (9) retreated from gate 4 last start and was soon at the rear of the pack against the poles and facing a task. Settling in position early from this alley can see him make a podium play.

PURPLE SHADES (2) was sent out as the fav last start off the back of some consistent form but from gate 5 was soon near the rear and then never got a clear crack at them. Settling closer will help here.

SELECTIONS: KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (3), BE ON THE SLY (5), BETTING BARON (9), PURPLE SHADES (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (3) to win

RACE SIX

OUR BONDI BEACH (2)
eased to the poles last start and chased in vain as WATTS UP SUNSHINE demolished his opponents. The effort had merit when retreating from gate 5 the start prior and while at his best if able to poke up along the passing lane, he might just have an edge to cash-in.

LA SAFRON (7) is never far from the action and keeps on chalking up the minor, having placed in 7 of his 11 this term The past 5 of those have been on the bounce, the latest when gunned down when trying to take them all the way. From this gate he will be probing for the gaps to challenge.

FRANCO NANDOR (6) has returned from a spell in fine fettle and will be further from his second up victory over the AP mile when leading throughout. That made it 2 from 2 with the gate a dampener.

HE SAID SHE SAID (1) showed improvement last start when second-up in Qld where he was wide off the track over the closing stages to be just 6m from the winner. With the options he has claims.

SELECTIONS: OUR BONDI BEACH (2), LA SAFRON (7), FRANCO NANDOR (6), HE SAID SHE SAID (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BONDI BEACH (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

SUGARKANE (1)
should relish the chance to settle close to the action from the ace after a string of wide and second line barriers. Picking a few off to grab the bronze last start from gate 9, her record here on The Triangle shows 7 wins and 10 minors and with all the options can capitalise.

ULAANBAATAR (2) settled in the running line from a second line gate last start when chasing for the bronze behind FAIREACHDAINN. Luckless at Marburg the start prior, she has some early hustle to find position and placed in 4 of 5 on this deck will throw down the challenge.

RAANI (6) has been a risk at the start in recent times and has the outside because her manners. Overcoming the gate to score here two back, another error was costly last time. At her best she is up to it.

ZARAS A TREASURE (4) will find this a little tougher than her last start victory where she did some early work before finding a trail and then finishing best to score. With even luck she has claims.

SELECTIONS: SUGARKANE (1), ULAANBAATAR (2), RAANI (6), ZARAS A TREASURE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SUGARKANE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

PORTSEA PRINCE (1)
has now had three runs back from a long break and should be starting to get wound up. Buried in the run from inside the second line last time out, he was not that far from the winner BEJIGGITY. Gate 6 beat him the start prior behind GOING GREAT GUNS and he finds conditions to strike.

EXPLANATION NOTED (7) has faced gate 8 at each of her past two starts, the lates when down the line behind ZARAS A TREASURE. Making some late metres behind ROYAL PRINCESS here two starts back, she maps for the easy trip behind the speed and will be searching for the gaps to challenge.

ACE LOMBO (4) broke the maiden tag here three starts back when resuming from a spell with an all the way effort. Runner-up when second-up, he can look to chime in again here.

AS SHE SAYS (6) eased into the running line here last start from this gate when finishing 6m from R ELEVEN ART. Not too far away the start prior, she has podium claims from the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: PORTSEA PRINCE (1), EXPLANATION NOTED (7), ACE LOMBO (4), AS SHE SAYS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PORTSEA PRINCE (1) to win

RACE NINE

JONHROD (8)
continued to press on from gate 5 here last week where despite being unable to cross to the poles, proved too tough sitting parked. Runner-up in both starts prior, he can graft it out in the run and pressing through from this gate will fight to the finish.

DATSINAHURRI (9) was sent forward from this same alley last week, pressing on to take control and from there proved too strong when pulling clear to claim a 7m margin. The same pattern may not be on offer here but with 3 wins in her past 5 attempts, will be throwing it down once again.

FEELING THE POWER (5) was beaten as the favourite here two starts back from gate 6 and then last start, not much was really in his favour. Despite the gate, this profiles as a more suitable contest.

DEVELSTIX (1) has placed on ten occasions here on The Triangle without a win and while he may not threaten for the win again here, the inside alley is a big aid to his podium chances.

SELECTIONS: JONHROD (8), DATSINAHURRI (9), FEELING THE POWER (5), DEVELSTIX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JONHROD (8) to win

RACE TEN

THE WHISTLER (1)
has faced the starter on 19 occasions in search of the elusive victory and finds the alley and conditions to land the breakthrough. Placed in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest at Marburg when beaten for early speed from the ace. With the options, she can get on the board.

MISTER GALVINATOR (6) has placed in 3 of his 8 lifetime attempt, the latest when sent forward from gate 5 to face the breeze and hanging tough to claim the silver. Finishing 3m from the winner GOTTA DREAM, he was wide off the track two starts back from the second line and will challenge here.

EMMALEEN (7) was beaten by gate 9 last start when settling in the running line but unable to go with them over the closing stages. With the cosy trip, she can be probing for the placings.

BETONBETTY (8) was resuming from a spell here last time out when finding the pocket trail from gate 4 and finishing 2m in arrears of the winner. A podium finish beckons once again.

SELECTIONS: THE WHISTLER (1), MISTER GALVINATOR (6), EMMALEEN (7), BETONBETTY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
