RACE TWO

This maiden could be a battle of the bridesmaids where FLOORLESS (3) who has been runner-up here on The Triangle in 6 of her past 8 can get her moment in the spotlight. Back in the pack from gate 6 last start, she was best of the chasers behind PAMPELONNE two back, with a return to the main draw helping her chance.

SAMMYS SECRET (2) is finding it equally tough to land the breakthrough, finishing in 2nd in 7 of his past 9 appearances. Rolling around to sit parked last start, he was game in fighting on behind FLASH FREDDIE after the tough trip. With the slight gate advantage, he will be throwing it down.

MULLUM AXEL (4) is another 2YO Changeover gelding on debut for Darren Weeks and comes out of the same qualifying trial as REGAZZO DI TILLY. With the right trip he cannot be ignored.

LOOKAT MEE (1) has shown some improvement in three runs back this prep and was solid in the closing stages when 3rd to FLASH FREDDIE last time. With the inside gate she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FLOORLESS (3), SAMMYS SECRET (2), MULLUM AXEL (4), LOOKAT MEE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FLOORLESS (3) to win

RACE THREE

Where they position up here can lead to some differing scenarios but either way, BLUE MOON RISING (7) who loves a peg might have too many closing bullets. Fitter again after his third up run where gate 6 over the AP mile put it out of reach, he will be awaiting the lane to scoot through.

STOMPEM (5) should appreciate tackling this grade of contest, his latest effort when making good closing metres along the passing lane behind OUR MAJOR DAY. With the closing speed a little too sharp in front two starts back as THE IDEAL DANCER scored, he can be making a play in this.

MISTY CREEK (2) has a super record here at the Peninsula where he has hit the board in 17 of 21 and 10 of those have been wins. Grinding out a determined 2nd to MISTER HART last start, he can feature.

LIFES BLACK (4) has some ordinary numbers in his past few starts against his name, but not much has really been in his favour. Stuck in gridlock last start, a rub of the green is all he needs.

SELECTIONS: BLUE MOON RISING (7), STOMPEM (5), MISTY CREEK (2), LIFES BLACK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BLUE MOON RISING (7) to win

RACE FOUR

EAGLES RESPONSE (3)
was first up for new trainer Greg Franklin last start when settling in the running line and chasing home for the silver behind SHARP SHOOTER. Making an error that would have seen her finish much closer, she can build off that and finds a winnable contest here.

YARRAMAN ROCKY (8) has hot the board at his past two in succession, the latest when grabbing the silver behind CHARLIE CHUCKLES. Pressing on to take control at Marburg two starts back when finishing just a neck from the handy CAPTAIN SHUFFLES, he can make a challenge here.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (7) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage to see some racetrack as she looks set to be buried. Placed in 3 of her past 4, she will be probing to make a podium play.

SARIE MARAIS (4) will take some benefit from her last appearance where she was first up in almost two years. Settling in the running line, she was sound to the line and the added fitness will help.

SELECTIONS: EAGLES RESPONSE (3), YARRAMAN ROCKY (8), IM A CLASSY GIRL (7), SARIE MARAIS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: EAGLES RESPONSE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Given no favours from the outside paint, JOHNROD (6) will be on a forward march to get outside the leader and look to grind this out. Too strong last start from gate 5 to claim a 3m margin, the start prior he was just a head away. He can do the heavy lifting to take this.

ROCCO VARIETY (9) retreated from gate 6 last time out to settle at the rear of the pack before winding up in the closing stages to attack the line hard and finish just a head from the winner. Gunned down in front the start prior, the tempo looks even enough for him to challenge late again.

REMEMBER EVE (2) is a 55-start maiden having her first start for Chris Frisby, arriving with a last start 3rd at Bathurst. The gate keeps her under notice in this line up.

MANY DELIGHTS (8) has been in consistent touch of late, the latest when finishing in 3rd behind JOHNROD after setting the speed from gate 6. Trailing through can see him in the mix.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (6), ROCCO VARIETY (9), REMEMBER EVE (2), MANY DELIGHTS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (6) to win

RACE SIX

MI FURIOSO TORO (6)
bounced back to winning form last start when sent forward from gate 5 to take control and pull clear for a big win. Not too far away from outside the second line over the AP 2138m the start prior, he can get forward again here and look for the repeat.

FEEL THE THRILL (2) has the early hustle to fire the first shot and from there will have the opportunity to take the trail. Hemmed away last time, the start prior he was badly buried from inside the second line. Closer to the action will give him a challenging chance.

MY SECRET BEACH (1) has been a little sharper at his past couple, the latest when 3rd at Marburg after being asked to sit parked. From the gate he has podium claims.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (4) has been thereabouts in recent starts, placing in 3 of his past 4 attempts. Sent to sit parked from the second line when 2nd to MI FURIOSO TORO, he can place.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (6), FEEL THE THRILL (2), MY SECRET BEACH (1), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Sent forward to sit parked last start, SUZUKEE (9) pulled clear over the closing stages, opening up to claim an impressive 20m margin. Beaten a half-head after walking them through the opening half here two starts back, she has the tough gate but a tempo will help her close out late.

ZARAS A TREASURE (3) was obliged to sit parked here last time out and after the tough trip faded in the closing stages. A winner here two back when finding the pocket trail and owning superior closing speed, she can be close enough to the action to throw down the challenge once again.

PRINCESS CHILLA (1) tackle a strong APG 4YO mares race last start when returning a tidy effort behind the good mare JASPER. Chasing from the 1x1 trail here two back, she has the gate to feature.

OUR BOY BOBBY (5) comes up with the tricky gate but his efforts have been good enough to put him in contention here. Just a head from LAVAZZA last start, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: SUZUKEE (9), ZARAS A TREASURE (3), PRINCESS CHILLA (1), OUR BOY BOBBY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GET READY TO ROCK (7)
faces some easier company here than what she has met in recent attempts, the latest when down the line in a Band 5 Saturday night contest. 8m from TALENT TO SPARE two starts back, she looks set for the perfect trail trip to take the snipers shot when it presents.

OYSTER STRIDE (1) eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and over the closing stages was strong to the line wide off the track to grab the bronze behind MISTER HART. A gritty effort two back when under 3m from the winner, he finds conditions to take them all the way.

ALTANA BLUE (3) rolled forward from the five-hole last start to sit parked and despite the tough trip was in for the fight when just 3m from the winner LAVAZZA to hold 3rd. He can grind it out again.

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (9) finally cashed in here last week after threatening to land a winning blow all season. From the trail he had the closing speed to claim a half-neck margin and will be closing hard.

SELECTIONS: GET READY TO ROCK (7), OYSTER STRIDE (1), ALTANA BLUE (3), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GET READY TO ROCK (7) to win

RACE TEN

After completing a hat-trick of wins all here on The Triangle, FAIREACHDAINN (1) again lands the right marble to stretch it out to a quartet. Holding on to a margin of 4m last start when taking them all the way, she can keep them wide again and looks the target they have to chase.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (7) was content to sit parked here two starts back and despite doing the heavy lifting, proved too tough for his opposition to claim an extending 7m margin. Just 2m away last start when again doing it the tradesman’s way, he can be coiled here ready for the final shot.

METAKI MAJIC (4) has resumed from a spell in nice order with placing in both starts here over the sprint trip. Chasing from gate 9 last start when 3rd to HIGH ON MONTANA, she can chime in again.

BEJIGGITY (9) owned thee best closing speed here two starts back when charging home from gate 6 after retreating. Unable to warm up last start behind LAVAZZA, she is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: FAIREACHDAINN (1), THE CASUAL GOOSE (7), METAKI MAJIC (4), BEJIGGITY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FAIREACHDAINN / THE CASUAL GOOSE (1/7) quinella / exacta
