RACE TWO

MIRACLE RISING (6) may be winless for some time and the numbers in recent starts may not be that enticing, yet it probably doesn’t paint the full the picture. He has been campaigning consistently in Sat night company and last start didn’t see the clearest passage. Despite the 20m, this looks ideal.

GREG THE GREAT (9) is on the back-up from Saturday night from the mobile mile to the long trip off the tapes here. On Saturday he shanghaied off the arm to take control and kept the power on all the way in breaking the track record. Hit or miss off the tapes, being back on his own off the 30m could be in his favour.

CASTLEREAGH (5) started fav at his 1st run for the Cini stable after arriving in Qld when taking on a Sat night event. Obliged to do it the tough way, he was grinding away to finish mid-field. He can be thereabouts again.

MALABAR SPUR (1) takes a step up against this opposition, yet her efforts have been good when coming off handicaps in the lower tier events. With the right trip, she can sneak a minor.

SELECTIONS: MIRACLE RISING (6), GREG THE GREAT (9), CASTLEREAGH (5), MALABAR SPUR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

RINGOS A STAR (2) is a Mr Feelgood gelding on debut for Grant Dixon out of the good producing mare Rhapsody In Red. Ranking as a full brother to RED CHARMER he has been to the trials twice to prepare, the 1st of those against the older horses. With the good gate, he can beat the drums 1st up.

LETS TORQUE A DEAL (3) started a red figure fav here last week and after finding the position behind the leader struck trouble at the 300m, losing valuable ground that proved to be the difference. Re-setting to be 3m in arrears, she has been runner-up her past 3 in succession and is the threat.

ITZ MAJOR RICH (8) is the query runner, lining up for his 1st start yet has not been seen at the trials in Aus. Qualifying in NZ prior to arriving, he stays under a bit watch here.

HAPPY PUBLICANS (6) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a spell. Grinding it out last start when 6m from NOT THE KINGSWOOD, he has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: RINGOS A STAR (2), LETS TORQUE A DEAL (3), ITZ MAJOR RICH (8), HAPPY PUBLICANS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-6-8

RACE FOUR

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10)
took on a Marburg to Albion Final last start and didn’t face the smoothest passage as he was starting to launch a wide run. Chasing hard to be 4m from the winner BUKTHSYSTEM, it followed a tough run when 1st up in the Heats. He can steam home late here.

JACKBKWIK (2) heads to The Creek looking to remain undefeated in Qld after successive wins at Redcliffe. Keeping the speed on throughout last start when leading all the way over the 1780m in tidy time, it followed a chasing win from the rear. This is a step-up but he has the gate to capitalise.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage from this gate to sight the space to issue a challenge. Runner-up his past 3 in succession, he has claims if the gaps arrive.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (3) has placed in 5 of his 7 outings at this track on his Northern campaign, the latest when chasing for the bronze behind AWESOME OLLIE. Settling handy, he is a place hope here.

SELECTIONS: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10), JACKBKWIK (2), THE RAGNBONE MAN (8), ABERCROMBIE TAB (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10)

RACE FIVE

BEE GEES BANDIT (4) was game in the breeze last start when doing it the tough way over the mile and fighting hard to still only be 3m from the in-form SECRETAGENT TYCOON. His efforts have been full of merit in recent starts without landing the rewards and he looks to have found his race here.

STOMPEM (9) was a winner in a stronger event here 3 starts back when making the most of gate 1 to take them all the way. Running into some in-form pacers in the shape of MISTER BRAZIL and ESCALERA at his past 2 outings, he should appreciate this assignment and looks the challenger.

APHORISM (5) tackled a qualifier on Sat night when locked away from inside the 2nd line and never sighting the space required to feature. Only 5m away the start prior, he is right in the fight.

ALE ALE KAI (1) held the pocket trail on Sat night in a mares only event when they were just a bit too sharp in the closing stages. With an economical trip on offer, she can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BANDIT (4), STOMPEM (9), APHORISM (5), ALE ALE KAI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BANDIT (4) to win

RACE SIX

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) lands the ideal barrier to look to keep his Albion Park record at 100% after winning both his starts here at The Creek. Pouncing on the poles from this gate last start over this trip, he kept the speed on all the way in a strong victory. This is tougher, but he has the gate advantage over the main dangers.

COPPERFIELD (11) has hit the board in all 4 starts since arriving in Aus with 2 of those being victories. Sent to the breeze from gate 4 last start he had too many tricks for his challengers in putting them away to claim a strong 3m win. With no favours from the gate, he can still look to throw down the challenge.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (8) was game in the breeze last start in the Marburg to Albion Final when grinding it out and only beaten a head behind the passing lane winner BUKTHSYSTEM. With a cosy trip, if he doesn’t get too keen, he can make a closing play.

HIT THE TRACK (7) will be doing so for the 1st time in Qld for the visiting Josh Turnbull team, arriving a last start runner-up over the Bathurst sprint trip. Not far away in recent starts, he can feature despite copping the visitors gate 1st up.

SELECTIONS: FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1), COPPERFIELD (11), VIEWBYTHEROCK (8), HIT THE TRACK (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

This race shapes as an absolute beauty for a Tuesday meeting with plenty of speed and in-form performers ready to do battle. By virtue of the gate, CRUNCH TIME (1) looks primed to give them the target to chase after freewheeling to a sizzling sub 55 mile at Redcliffe last start. With a mixed bag in his 4 Qld starts, can he fight them off?

WILL THE WIZARD (9) was a 1st up failure following a spell, but following that run, he has been brilliant, running in the top-2 in all 5 starts since. Charging home off gate 11 to grab the silver in the SE Derby behind GOVERNOR JUJON, he took control last start in front for an easy win. He will throw it down here.

GAME SET MAJOR (3) eased from gate 7 last start over the 2138m before really attacking the line strongly to be within 5m of the winner CHANTREY. That form has been franked with the winner striking again in Saturday night company. If he can find position cheaply to avoid the early burn, he is well up to taking this.

NURBURGRING (8) was making a late dive at his Aus debut last week when fighting all the way to the wire when a half-head off victory after cutting the breeze. Coiled off a cosy trip from this gate, he can strike.

SELECTIONS: CRUNCH TIME (1), WILL THE WIZARD (9), GAME SET MAJOR (3), NURBURGRING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-8-9

RACE EIGHT

OUTLAW FELLA (2) has been facing some tough gates in recent outings, his past 3 from the 2nd line and the 2 prior to that from wide off the front. Buried in the run at his past 3 starts, he has gone to the wire looking for gaps. Best suited when up near the front, he finds those conditions here and can celebrate a sesquicentenary of race starts in style.

OUR LITTLE DIGGER (4) angled to the pegs here on Sat night from gate 10 to look for some short-cuts when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages. He has been working home hard in his races of late without having any luck with barriers. Despite another sticky gate, he should appreciate this assignment.

STORMY RAIDER (1) claimed a qualifying victory here 4 starts back when having his 1st Qld appearance and proving too tough in the breeze. With tough gates in all 3 starts since, he can look to capitalise off the ace.

HAVANA MOON (6) started from the 2nd line last start over the 2138m and with the race set up from the front after a pedestrian opening half, he was strong to the line in the closing stages to grab the bronze. The gate stings but he can be strong late.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (2), OUR LITTLE DIGGER (4), STORMY RAIDER (1), HAVANA MOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (7) lands his standard wide gate here as he looks to build on his impressive Redcliffe form that has seen him emerge victorious at 3 of his past 4 starts. Working home wide off the track last start he was too strong in slick time in claiming a 2m winning margin. In a tough race to close the card, he can arrive.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5) took full advantage of the lamp lighting duties last start to lead them all the way over the 2138m in claiming a narrow victory. Chasing hard in a slick mile behind A RAINBOW DIAMOND the start prior, finding cheap position will be key to her chances in issuing the challenge.

CALLMEDEMARO (10) was doing it the tough way last start at Redcliffe and faded under the workload. Runner-up the start prior over the 2040m, with a cart into the contest he is in the mix.

RUNFORTHEROSES (1) was sharper last start when hitting the line in good order when 7m from the dictating winner KEY LARGO over the mile. With the options from the gate, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (7), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5), CALLMEDEMARO (10), RUNFORTHEROSES (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
