RACE TWO

UNCLE JORD (8) pressed ahead from gate 5 last start to take control and once in front held on to hold off a fast-finishing AMAZING DREAM. Runner-up the start prior when doing it the tough way on the breeze, he will be sweating on the 1 holding the front. With that scenario, he can take the closing shot.

MUCH BETTOR (1) is knocking on the door after finishing as the runner-up at his past 3 in succession. Doing it the tough way las start, he was in for the fight when a half-head away from subsequent winner STOMPEM. Beaten a head the start prior, he has the options to get every chance here.

HURRICANE ROY (6) finished best to claim a qualifying victory 2 starts back over the 2138m after working into position from gate 5. Closing nicely last start, the gate stings but he can feature.

LOVE MY SISTER (2) claimed a mares qualifier here 6 starts back, but has been unable to hit the board in the 5 runs since. Beaten by gate 7 last start behind SMART AS CAMM BE, the improved gate helps.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE JORD (8), MUCH BETTOR (1), HURRICANE ROY (6), LOVE MY SISTER (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

B MAC C (2) found the poles 1st prior to releasing last start and then making a late dive to grab the silver behind the airborne AT WEST POINT, beaten a head. Forced to grind outside the leader the start prior, he was mid-field, beaten 7m over the 2138m. Firing off the arm, he gets his chance to dictate.

GOTTA MOMENT (1) finally returns to the main draw after a string of runs where he had been banished as an ODM runner. Snagging back from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start, he was slicing between runners, but never really got a shot at them. With a soft trip, he can take the snipers shot here.

COMMODORE JUJON (10) is racing in nice touch and a qualifying victory is just around the corner when conditions suit. Easing forward from gate 4 last tine out, he was in for the fight when runner-up. Luckless the start prior, he is in the mix.

HEART OF COOPER (8) has 3 wins in his past 5 starts at Redcliffe and all from gate 6. Sent forward early last start to do it the tough way, he out-lasted them to claim a narrow victory. He will be probing for the gaps here.

SELECTIONS: B MAC C (2), GOTTA MOMENT (1), COMMODORE JUJON (10), HEART OF COOPER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-10

RACE FOUR

ASHLEY LOCAZ (5)
faces the starter under race conditions for the first time since the 2019 Inter Dominion Final at Auckland when finishing mid-field. Transferring to the Vicki Rasmussen barn, he has trialled in good order, the latest a smart hit-out when out in front and doing it all himself. Despite the sticky gate 1st up, he looks too classy.

KID MONTANA (8) eased from gate 5 last start to find the running line. With the race developing into a last panel blitz, he was always facing a task with a sub 27 closer set from the front. Forced to do it the tough way the start prior, he can get the easy trip and will be looking to find open road.

BRIGHT ENERGY (7) is yet to cash-in on his Northern campaign yet has managed to place in 3 of the 4 outings. Hitting the line strongly last start in some slippery closing panels, he will be charging late.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) has placed at his past 2 in succession, the latest when working home in good order from the 2nd line. Grabbed in the closing strides when leading the start prior, the gate helps.

SELECTIONS: ASHLEY LOCAZ (5), KID MONTANA (8), BRIGHT ENERGY (7), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ASHLEY LOCAZ (5) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky 2nd division qualifier to dissect here with the middle-distance 2138m also adding another layer of complexity. Last start winner PACIFIC COIN (2) was sent forward in the middle-stages from the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start when putting them away in fine style. The improved gate is a plus and he is worth a chance.

LIBERAL ARDEN (1) led them up from this gate over this trip 4 starts back against much stronger opponents, fading to finish mid-field behind SHANWAY. Forced to roll the sleeves to do the heavy lifting last start over the mile, he can look to capitalise off the ace and will be in for the fight.

LA SAFRON (9) secured the 1x1 trail last start at Redcliffe over the 2040m before finishing over the top to claim a narrow victory. Grabbed in the closing stages the start prior, this is a step up.

JILLIBY GIZMO (3) did not have much go his way last start from gate 4 over the Redcliffe sprint trip before then searching for gaps that didn’t open. Pressing forward, he can throw down a challenge.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC COIN (2), LIBERAL ARDEN (1), LA SAFRON (9), JILLIBY GIZMO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFIC COIN (2) each-way

RACE SIX

AMAZING DREAM (7) was stepping out in Qld for the 1st time off the back of 5 months on the sideline when tackling a qualifier here last week. Settling in the running line from gate 10, it was an impressive return when charging home to be within a half-neck of the winner UNCLE JORD, running some slippery closing panels. Despite the gate, she looks superior.

SMART AS CAMM BE (10) will take further benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up after 122 months on the sidelines. Eased from gate 6 to find position, she was savaging the line, only to break gait in the wire and be relegated. A smart winner 1st up, she would be a short-price elect in this were it not for her stablemate.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (9) steps up to a mares qualifier after a great season to date where she has finished top-two in all 7 outings. Beaten an eyelash last start, she can settle handy enough to feature.

CORSINI (6) will win of these mares qualifiers when conditions suit, she has just been unable to find the right conditions yet. The wide gate dents her hopes again, but she is a chance for the exotics.

SELECTIONS: AMAZING DREAM (7), SMART AS CAMM BE (10), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (9), CORSINI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 7 / 10 / 4-5-6-9

RACE SEVEN

LILAC FLASH (5) should appreciate the return to this company after tackling the open class performers in recent attempts. Locked away 3 back from gate 1 last start when chiming in for the bronze behind CRUZ, it followed a tidy effort behind FAME ASSURED. The small field suits and he will be winding up down the stretch.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1) looked to take them all the way last start over the middle distance 2138m and with a smart opening half, really dialled it up the last 800m. Left wanting in the latter stages to finish 7m in arrears, it had followed a top effort from gate 7. The trail might be the play where he can make the closing shot a winning one.

SIR JULIAN (7) is such a consistent performer and despite the wide gate can be thereabouts once again. Working home strongly last start from gate 4 when only 2m away, he can be strong late.

CLARKEY (2) is never too far from the action and has been finishing his races strongly, with a placing at 4 of his past 5 starts. Hitting the line with gusto here on Tuesday behind the crack 3YO ONE CHANGE, he can tuck in and swoop.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (5), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1), SIR JULIAN (7), CLARKEY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LILAC FLASH (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

GAME SET MAJOR (5) has been to the track 3 times in mid-week company on his winter campaign and each time met tougher line-ups than he will face off against here. His last start was full of merit when working hard in a 1.50.7 mile and still only 9m away. Charging home the start prior after retreating from gate 7, he looks the number one seed.

IMASPORTSSTAR (1) worked home stylishly wide off the track 3 starts back to claim the silver making good closing ground against the tempo. Releasing over the mile last start before making a closing play to get within a neck of the winner, the gate give him the serving advantage.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8) settled in the running line from gate 10 when taking on a 2nd division qualifier last start, finishing hard over the top to claim the prize. A passing lane winner 3 starts back at Redcliffe, he will be probing for the openings in this.

ONE OFF (10) eased to near the rear before running home in some sharp closing panels last start after the early speed set it up from those near the front. With some tempo up front, look for him late.

SELECTIONS: GAME SET MAJOR (5), IMASPORTSSTAR (1), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8), ONE OFF (10)
SUGGESTED BET: GAME SET MAJOR (5) to win

RACE NINE

The long trip and a marginal lift in his handicap back to 40m might just be enough to allow OUR OVERANOVA (10) to claim yet another victory and edge one closer to 50 wins here at The Creek. Never far away, he has placed 3 of his past 4, the latest when working hard over the mobile mile. He can arrive in an open trot.

GREG THE GREAT (9) has the 20m tape to negotiate and the extra trip should suit after closing strongly last start from the same impost but over the 2138m trip. Only 3m in arrears in that event, it had followed successive wins including over the long trip in a mid-week event. He can throw it down.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (8) secured the ideal run last week from the 10m tape and when asked for the effort cruised up and went on by to claim a 3m victory. The extra trip will suit and he can feature again.

JEDDY R YA READY (3) went to the pegs last start looking for the short-cuts and was finding the line in nice order to be 5m from the winner WEE MAN TROUBLE. Safe from the tapes, he can settle handy to be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (10), GREG THE GREAT (9), WEE MAN TROUBLE (8), JEDDY R YA READY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

ROCK WITH SAM (5) was buried in the run last start when taking on the FFA and not too far from the winner CRUZ. He struck trouble the start prior in the sub 51 mile claimed by that same winner. His numbers may be a bit up and down, but he has been in the mix of late and back to this company looks to get his chance.

CLASSIE AMERICAN (4) eased from gate 5 last start when back in the pack and closing strongly to be 6m from the winner DOUBLEDELIGHTBRIGADE. Luckless the start prior when probing for openings that didn’t appear and still only 4m away, the small field looks ideal for him to launch a claim.

MARETTI (3) has claimed the bronze in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when settling in the trail and using the passing lane to get within 5m of the winner. Settling handy to the action can see him place.

SPARKLING CULLECT (7) has no favours from the widest gate in the small field yet he has had wide gates his past 3 starts. He can float back behind them early and look to be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ROCK WITH SAM (5), CLASSIE AMERICAN (4), MARETTI (3), SPARKLING CULLECT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK WTH SAM (5) to win
