RACE TWO

TOMMY LINCOLN (4) made the most of the gate advantage to pounce on the poles and then park CRUNCH TIME over the mile here 2 starts back and from there held the advantage to score victory by a neck. The tables were turned last start where his effort was big wide off the track in sharp closing panels. He might need to be in for the grind but is up to the task.

SAUCY DREAMS (1) does love to run the mile hard from the front and comes up with the alley to have the target on her back that her opponents to aim for. Closing out smartly from a wide gate last start when 4m from ITALIAN LAD, inside the 2nd line was her undoing the start prior. She will be gripping on.

FAIRY TINKABELLL (9) can ease down to the pegs and with the likelihood of the tempo, the pegs will be the place to play in this battle. Only a half-neck from TOMMY LINCOLN when sticking to the inside last start, she can chime into the minors.

LEFT A TERROR (8) looks set to enjoy the easiest of trips in behind the speed and can be ready to make an offering when the gaps arrive. Not really suited at his past 2, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TOMMY LINCOLN (4), SAUCY DREAMS (1), FAIRY TINKABELLL (9), LEFT A TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Fence exotics 1-4-8-9

RACE THREE

Having not led in a race since January, they opted to look for early advantage from gate 1 with MACH DA VINCI (9) last week. Holding them out early, a mid-race blitz from CRUNCH TIME saw him crossed and then from the trail he tried to make a closing play when a neck from the winner. With the early trial and some front-line spice, he can power over the top to end the win drought.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (1) was sent forward from gate 5 here last week and content to sit parked delivered a first over crush in pulling clear to a 3m victory. 2m in arrears of BLACK HAWK JOE the previous week, he can get the easy trip in behind the speed here and be ready to shake rattle and roll up the passing lane.

STREET APPEAL (2) made the most of conditions here on Tuesday when rifling off the arm to take control from gate 7. With a steady opening half, he was able to fight them off late. This is tougher but the tighter gate is a big plus.

BLACK HAWK JOE (5) settled rearward here 2 starts back over the 2138m and making a wide and searching run finished over the top to score. Big under the circumstances last start when making an error, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: MACH DA VINCI (9), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (1), STREET APPEAL (2), BLACK HAWK JOE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH DA VINCI (9) to win

RACE FOUR

The barrier Gods were not kind in the big two G1s of the Constellations for COLT THIRTY ONE (3) where he faced the second line on each occasion. The big stars have left town and now the brightest of the locals can shine his light on The Creek. Game in defeat behind KING OF SWING in the Mr Feelgood 3 starts back, he can land his first win of the season.

ALTA ORLANDO (4) was put on the engine from gate 6 last week and after a steady opening half looked to dial it up running sub 27 in a back stretch blitz. Trying to fight them off, he had to share the spoils with UNCLE JORD. He can pull the trigger early again here and try to fight them off.

UNCLE JORD (5) charged home from the 2nd line to be just a head from SEND IT 2 starts back. Franking the effort from that outing, his closing panels were the fastest in recent times at The Creek where he was able to go sub 54/27 for the 8/400 split. Look for him charging.

KID MONTANA (6) eased to the poles for an economical trip here last week and was making some nice closing metres when 5m from the dead-heaters. A similar trip looks on offer and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (3), ALTA ORLANDO (4), UNCLE JORD (5), KID MONTANA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 4-5-6

RACE FIVE

With the gate comes the options and while he steps up to Saturday night company KING TRITON (1) has been going well without converting it to victory. Hitting the line stoutly 2 starts back when runner-up to LIFE LAVROS, he was ripping home here 3 back for the bronze. Holding the pocket trail can see him ready to snipe.

LIFE LAVROS (9) was looking for the hat-trick of victories here last week when landing the inside 2nd line gate. Looking at a possible 3 pegs position soon after the field found position, he was eased to move up and sit parked and was game in finishing 1.5m from the winner. His win the start prior was large, and he will be throwing it down again.

SOHO SINATRA (2) was first up in Qld here last week when starting from gate 9 over the mile. With the race developing into a last panel blitz, he was strong to the line in the closing stages. Settling closer can see him feature.

EL AGUILA (8) has been sectionally strong in recent attempts, the latest when working home from a rearward position behind OUR ACTION MAN. With an economical trip he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: KING TRITON (1), LIFE LAVROS (9), SOHO SINATRA (2), EL AGUILA (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Not much has gone his way in recent outings but this profiles as a more suitable assignment for the swooping CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (5). Down the line last start in what was effectively the Blacks A Fake consolation, the start prior he had no luck whatsoever. The smaller field should be ideal, and the tempo works in his favour to arrive.

KEAYANG KREUZER (8) eased from gate 5 last time out and was soon deep in the field when trying to make a closing play. He was then too slippery in the stretch here 2 starts back at the mile to claim a smart win and land his first win here at The Creek. With the second line options, he can find the position to challenge.

ROCKNROLL ICON (4) showed early speed from gate 1 and just was shortened up slightly that saw him settled in the trail. Trying to rally late, he was 2m in arrears of the dead-heat winners. Pressing forward he can feature.

SMOKIN BY (6) found the right conditions here last week and settling in the running line had the bullets to fire in the stretch to take the prize

SELECTIONS: CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (5), KEAYANG KREUZER (8), ROCKNROLL ICON (4), SMOKIN BY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

In 8 attempts here at The Creek, OAXACAN DREAM (1) is yet to miss a top-3 with 4 wins sitting alongside 4 minors. Runner-up when sitting parked and staring down MISS RUBY SUNSHINE to get within a half-neck, she will need to hustle early but from the front looks mighty tough to stop.

VOODOO LOU (8) rolled forward from gate 6 here last week and asked to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff. In for the fight, she was only 2m in arrears of the winner SPORT MENTAL. A passing lane winner here 3 starts back, she looks set to be coiled in the run and ready to take the snipers shot.

AJAY BREEZY ROSE (4) was shooting for a hat-trick when tackling a strong qualifier 2 starts back and the run was full of merit when closing hard from gate 12 to be 2m from BLACK HAWK JOE. Gate 7 was her undoing behind MISS RUBY SUNSHINE last start, and she is in the mix.

CALL ME DIVA (9) is the latest arrival to join the Rickie Alchin team and arrives with a victory 2 starts back at Swan Hill. With the option to drop down to the pegs for the cosy ride, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: OAXACAN DREAM (1), VOODOO LOU (8), AJAY BREEZY ROSE (4), CALL ME DIVA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 4-8-9-10

RACE NINE

Fitter following one run back from a spell WITH THE BAND (5) finds the right mares contest to bounce back to form. A smart winner prior to a let-up she was strong from gate 6 when resuming here last week when 6m in arrears in a 26.8 last panel sizzler from the front. She can hit the right notes.

JUST ROKIN (4) released the speed in the early stages here on Tuesday before attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to get within a neck of the winner BOMBADIER JUJON. Not suited the start prior when forced to work, a return to the mare’s company looks suitable and she can throw it down.

SPORT MENTAL (2) sat back in the pack from the second line last start in a mars qualifier and had the closing power to work over the top of them in taking the prize. Settling handy she can feature again here.

ARMA NAUGHTY (6) has not had much luck landing a barrier on this year’s Winter pilgrimage and been forced to close out from back in the pack on each occasion. The wide gate makes it a similar scenario, but the smaller field is a bonus.

SELECTIONS: WITH THE BAND (5), JUST ROKIN (4), SPORT MENTAL (2), ARMA NAUGHTY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH THE BAND (5) to win
