RACE TWO

It was starting to look like BITCOIN (6) might not get any favours after 4 successive placings where he just seemed to find a way to miss out on the top prize. Pushing on from this gate last week over the 2138m, he worked to the front and made his own luck for a deserved win. Slammed by the 6 again, he can again overcome it.

ROYAL OBSESSION (9) was attacking the line strongly from deep in the pack last start over the middle-distance when grabbing 3rd behind BITCOIN. Only 1m away the start prior as YEP GOT CHOOKS took the prize, he will be rearward again from this gate but finishing hard to challenge.

THE ROCKNROLL KING (10) should appreciate a return to this grade of contest after tackling some strong events in recent outings. Down the line last start in the JC McMullen, he was grabbed late the start prior by CHAMONIX. He can swoop hard in this.

LORIMER LADY (1) capitalised on gate 1 at Redcliffe last start to take them all the way over the 1780m trip. This is tougher but with the cosy trip behind the speed, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BITCOIN (6), ROYAL OBSESSION (9), THE ROCKNROLL KING (10), LORIMER LADY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

CHILLER BAY (12)
steps out in Qld for the first time after a pair of Menangle appearances since arriving from the Shaky Isles. A first up winner over the Menangle Mile back in June when sent forward from gate 7, he was gunned down last time in front. He can overcome the gate fresh.

NO DOUBT (7) is absolutely bursting to win a race after finishing with the silver at his past 4 in succession from gates 12, 7, 10 and 10. He set out to chase the leader and winner MAJORCA from a long way back last start and the start prior he was hitting the line strongly. Jammed with the wide gate again, he will be closing hard.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (2) was a winner here 2 starts back when settling in the running line from gate 9 over the mile and then finishing best to claim the prize. Her effort after making an error last start was large and tucked in behind can feature.

MAJORCA (6) made an immediate impression at her first appearance in Qld when firing off the arm to take control over the mile and taking them all the way in sharp time. Fitter for the run, the gate stings.

SELECTIONS: CHILLER BAY (12), NO DOUBT (7), COULDNTMISAFALCON (2), MAJORCA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHILLER BAY (12) to win

RACE FOUR

HANDSOME HERO (6)
has now been to the track on 4 occasions since resuming from a spell. Taken back from gate 7 as the early tempo was frenetic last start, he was making some nice metres over the closing stages. Runner-up the start prior when attacking the line with power, the small field here looks ideal for him to strike.

OUR BONDI BEACH (1) apparently has first dibs on the red saddlecloth and will start from the ace for the 6th time in his past 7 appearances. He just did not get the required momentum to the passing lane last start as SUBTLE DELIGHT swept home to score and the start prior chased hard for 2nd. He will be ready to strike up the lane.

SABRAGE (7) is slippery out of the machine and looks to have the early hustle to get across the face of them here. Gunned down last start in front, he took the trail when runner-up to CHANTREY the start prior and is in the mix again here.

ARTHUR LOWE (5) can snag back early and finding the pegs can be looking to make a play in the closing stages. Eased to the poles form gate 6 last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HANDSOME HERO (6), OUR BONDI BEACH (1), SABRAGE (7), ARTHUR LOWE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HANDSOME HERO (6) to win

RACE FIVE

STOKER ACE (9) settled in the running line from gate 10 last start and was trying to launch a closing raid at the end of the 2138m when midfield and 12m from the winner. Only 4m away the start prior when sent around to face the breeze, he can secure the right cart into this to take the closing shot.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) fired off the gate from this same alley 2 starts back to take control and once in front was able to see it out to claim a 2m victory. Chasing gamely after releasing the speed last start, he was best of the chasers behind MY ULTIMATE BAXTER over his less preferred 2138m. Back to the mile he can throw it down.

BELLAVICTREE (1) was a winner 3 starts back to break the maiden tag when securing the perfect trip in behind the speed. Not much has gone her way in the 2 starts since and she has podium claims.

BARIKA (10) is still in search of her first victory on Aussie soil. Placed at her past 3 in succession, the latest when a 3rd after showing early hustle before releasing. The gate is not ideal, but she can feature.

SELECTIONS: STOKER ACE (9), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), BELLAVICTREE (1), BARIKA (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This race looks a tricky little contest to nail down with the majority of the combatants looking to recapture winning form. Placed at his past 3 ono the bounce ALBERIO (3) was required to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff here last time out and was giving to the line when 2m in arrears. He may just have found the breakthrough opportunity.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (5) likes to get forward and from this gate will likely be taking a good shot in the early stages. Not suited last start over the 2138m trip, he was trying to see it out from the front over the mile here 2 back when swallowed up late. Limiting the work are key to his challenging chances.

CHUMP CHOP (4) has had a spaced campaign with just 3 runs to his name since May. Striking some trouble last start when down the line from a 2nd row gate, settling handy can see a sharper effort.

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (6) was searching for a hat-trick of wins 2 starts back when nothing went right, and he was forced to retreat to find position. The wide gate stings but he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: ALBERIO (3), THE RAGNBONE MAN (5), CHUMP CHOP (4), CLARENDEN DAZZLER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALBERIO (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

GOOD AS IT GETS (2)
has been racing in nice touch without landing the rewards for his toil and may have found the right conditions here to snare a breakthrough. Hitting the line in nice style last start behind LIFE LAVROS in a qualifier, he was not too far from the firing OUR ACTION MAN the start prior. He can pick this off.

YEP GOT CHOOKS (6) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when sent forward to sit parked and able to grind out a gritty victory by 4m over the mile. That followed a similarly tough win when parked over this same trip and pressing forward again in the small field will be challenging.

EH EF EL (7) was starting to hit some nice areas that included a win in a similar set-up here 5 starts back when drawn wide in a small field. Placed at his next 2, his latest 2 runs have seen him make critical errors. Staying out of trouble, he is a swooping chance.

SLINGSHOT (4) secured running line cover before finishing over the top of them here 2 starts back to claim a stylish victory. Runner up to YEP GOT CHOOKS at his latest appearance, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: GOOD AS IT GETS (2), YEP GOT CHOOKS (6), EH EF EL (7), SLINGSHOT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD AS IT GETS (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

The capacity field from the tapes always makes for a tricky contest but staying out of trouble at the pointy end can be a big plus for IGNITE (1). Safely away last start to find the front before releasing the speed, he had the spark in the stretch to cruise past in claiming a 5m victory. This profiles in similar style.

AVEROSS DON (13) will be giving away 40m to the front marker however that is not too big an impost considering he has been meeting stronger opponents in recent outings. Pressing on to the front from a 10m tape last start, he was unable to see it out over the longer trip and the return to the middle trip in this grade suits.

MAJESTIC SPEED (6) was off the 30m tape last start when sent forward early to take control of proceedings. Trying to fight them off, she had to settle for the bronze and will be in the mix again.

DREAMEE (12) is a 4YO stepping out for the first time this season, transferring to the Tayla Gillespie stable. A three-time winner, he has had a pair of local trials, the latest a tidy hit out and he will improve on whatever he can achieve here.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (1), AVEROSS DON (13), MAJESTIC SPEED (6), DREAMEE (12)
SUGGESTED BET: IGNITE (1) to win

RACE NINE

FLASHY SEB (1) was safely into stride last start to find the front and once in control trotted cleanly to break away for an 11m victory. He made errors at his first two race appearances and with the confidence of putting it all together last start can look for a repeat victory.

CONFISCATED (5) was best of the chasers behind FLASHY SEB last start and had over 100m to spare over the 3rd placed runner. He was the only runner outside of the winner to maintain gait throughout in the field of 4 and with a commanding win 2 starts back, looks the challenger once again.

BETTATRIX (2) has held 3rd in both starts to date, albeit never closer than 100m from the winner on either occasion after making mistakes in both. She can grab another minor here.

SELECTIONS: FLASHY SEB (1), CONFISCATED (5), BETTATRIX (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FLASHY SEB (1) to win
