RACE ONE

With the extreme gate a result of his starting manners, SAGINAW (12) should still appreciate this contest after meeting some tougher opponents at his past two through the Carnival. Down the line as BETTOR ISOLATE destroyed them last start, he was not too far from CANTFINDABETTORMAN the start prior.

CHAMONIX (9) secured the prefect trip here two starts back in a 70Heat and powered over the top to claim his first win of the season. Fading after working hard in the Final, he can throw it down to them from this ally with the right trail.

PARAMA (8) was a winner from this alley three starts back when angling away from the poles and closing out in nice order. Placed in both runs since, he will be searching for open space.

COPPERFIELD (2) will relish the improved alley after facing gate 7 last start in the 70Final and making some nice metres late behind BLACK HAWK JOE. He has early hustle to find position.

SELECTIONS: SAGINAW (12), CHAMONIX (9), PARAMA (8), COPPERFIELD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SAGINAW (12) to win

RACE TWO

After a sharp first up win for the new stable three starts back, LEITHEN BURN (3) has been in the money in both runs since. Sent forward from gate 6 over the 2138 in his latest effort, he was fighting hard and was game in finishing 1m from AWAYWEGO. He can get forward to dictate.

CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (1) was first up from a spell at Redcliffe last start when starting from inside the second line and easing into the running line soon after the start. Attacking the line and pulling clear in a slick last 800m to take a 9m victory, he steps up here but has the gate to challenge.

FAST TRACKER (4) was lining up for the hat-trick last start from the second line and from back in the pack never got warm. Going back-to-back after 18 months off the scene, he can bounce back.

UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (7) faced this same gate last start and was sent forward to do it the tough way. Grafting out a sharp win first over, she will need to do work again to make a play.

SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (3), CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (1), FAST TRACKER (4), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (3) to win

RACE THREE

Retiring from a let up here last week and eased to the rear from gate 3, PEPPA BLISS (5) made a three-wide move down the back and loomed strongly in the stretch, only to be nabbed by BOMB SUIT. With added fitness from the outing, she can look to go one better.

FIREHOUSE (1) rolled forward to sit parked over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start and after the tough trip faded after a solid tempo to a midfield finish. Not too far from the winner here two runs back when making an early play, the inside gate advantage will aid his challenging chances.

PEBBLE SANDS (4) fired off the arm at the mile last time out and after backing off for a steady second quarter, had the power to finish them off. He can press on again to make a play.

ARTISITC SAINT (8) tried to take them all the way from gate 2 last start and was game in sharp time to be a neck astern of the winner UPTOWN BEACHGIRL. With an economical trip, he will probe.

SELECTIONS: PEPPA BLISS (5), FIREHOUSE (1), PEBBLE SANDS (4), ARTISITC SAINT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PEPPA BLISS (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Putting together successive wins in this grade ARTHUR LOWE (1) was then taken to Redcliffe in a stronger contest from gate 6 where he retreated to the rear to find position. Buried last start when 8m away, he comes up with all the options from the gate to bounce back to winning form.

EH EF EL (2) has started from gate 1 at his past two starts and been runner-up in both, the latest up the passing lane when 5m from the winner EL AGUILA. Firing out before taking a trail two runs back, he went within a lip of the prize behind ARTHUR LOWE and will be throwing it down in this.

DIKERRY (4) was a winner at the mile here three starts back when settled in the trail from gate 1 and taking his shot up the passing lane. Placed in both runs since, he has podium hopes once again.

HANDSOME HERO (6) has the wide gate to negotiate, but he has been thereabouts in this claiming grade in recent weeks. 7m in arrears last time after settling in the running line, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ARTHUR LOWE (1), EH EF EL (2), DIKERRY (4), HANDSOME HERO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-6

RACE FIVE

Stepping up against the open mares last time out in the Queen of Hearts, GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (5) found them a little too sharp and was down the line as FAIRY TINKABELL set a new mare’s record. Holding on for 3rd to MY ULTIMATE JOHNNY two starts back, despite being winless in 8 attempts beyond 2000m, she looks to get her chance in this.

ALWAYSBME (6) should appreciate this grade after competing in all three of the recent Oaks features through the Carnival. Midfield when 9m from SOHO HISTORIA in the Qld Oaks last start, the gate hurts for this.

MOUNT HERCULES (4) eased to find position at Redcliffe two runs back and from deep in the pack was strong to the line in the closing stages. Luckless last start when buried, he can make a play.

TINGE OF FEAR (1) was beaten by the outside front line gate at Marburg last start but still put in a strong run to be 6m in deficit of the winner. With the improved gate he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (5), MOUNT HERCULES (4), ALWAYSBME (6), TINGE OF FEAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (5) to win

RACE SIX

A winner from deep in the pack here five runs back and powering home in a similar contest, DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9) will be looking for the right trail to repeat that effort. Placed in his past two starts from tricky gates, he just needs a rub of the green and he can arrive for the prize once again.

GO JO JOLT (4) was sent out as fav last start at Marburg from inside the second line but never go a crack at them as BEEF CITY STARZZZ dictated in front. Making some nice metres in the closing stages from back in the pack the start prior, she can settle handy enough to throw in a challenge.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5) has been runner-up at his past two attempts, the latest from outside the second line at Marburg when wide off the track. With the right trip he can be chiming in here.

TOOLITTLETOOLATE (8) tried to take them all the way last time out at Marburg and led them to the turn, only for JJOY MAKER to pull clear for the prize. Holding 2nd, he will be searching for gaps here.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9), GO JO JOLT (4), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5), TOOLITTLETOOLATE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHEREACTS (5) has been kept fresh since her last outing when facing the outside second line over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Making good ground in the closing stages to be within 2m of the winner, it followed a tough effort from gate 6 on this deck at the mile. This race looks well within reach.

TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (10) faced gate 6 last start and working in the early stages pressed on to sit parked. Grinding it out when sitting at the wheel of the leader and winner PEBBLE SANDS, he was game in defeat to hold on for the silver. The gate stings again but he can be making a play.

FOR NO REASON (1) was a winner in a similar race here four runs back and backed that up with a 2nd placing. Making a closing raid to be a half-neck from the winner last start, the gate is a big bonus.

JACOBS THUNDER (4) has hit some nice areas in recent outings, claiming 3 wins his past 5 appearances. A winner here last week from gate 3, he finds similar conditions to make his play.

SELECTIONS: SHEREACTS (5), TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (10), FOR NO REASON (1), JACOBS THUNDER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEREACTS (5) to win

RACE NINE

With all his best work done from behind the mobile, KAR MANOR (4) finds the conditions here to build his tally further. Powering up mid-race to get forward and put the contest out of reach three starts back, he then found them a little out of reach in the Trotters Sprint. This looks ideal.

FATHER CHRISTMAS (5) was safely into stride from his 10m tape last start and pressing onto to sit parked was then too strong for his rivals in pulling clear for a 14m margin. Placed in both runs prior, he has found some nice touch and can make the challenge once again.

MATATOKI (6) was hemmed away on the poles last start after coming from the 20m tape and when finding space was making nice metres to grab 3rd. With the right trip, he can be chiming in again.

HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (3) has only had the 3 starts from behind the start car, winning 1 of those which was here four runs back. A winner from the tapes two starts back, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: KAR MANOR (4), FATHER CHRISTMAS (5), MATATOKI (6), HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: KAR MANOR (4) to win
