RACE ONE

BETTOR JIGGLE (9) will be looking to keep the record intact since arriving in Qld, going 2 for 2 here at Redcliffe over this trip. Powering home smartly from back in the pack last week to take a 4m margin in strong time, he will be relying on some tempo again here to arrive in the stretch.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (6) was beaten by gate 11 over the AP 2138m trip last time out. Settled rearward, he attacked the line strongly over the closing stages in laying out some slippery closing panels. Runner-up to BETTOR JIGGLE when chasing four on the bounce, he can defy the gate.

HECTOR (3) steps out on The Triangle for the first time off the back of some handy efforts since resuming from a spell. Within 3m of BLACK HAWK JOE last start in a 70Final, he is in the mix.

THE HERVEY BAY (8) has a tidy record on this deck despite making an error here two runs back. A tough winner from gate 6 here five runs back, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR JIGGLE (9), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (6), HECTOR (3), THE HERVEY BAY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR JIGGLE (9) to win

RACE TWO

GANGBUSTER (1) has returned from a spell in fine fettle, claiming a pair of wins from his past three attempts. Angled to the poles from gate 9 last start, he has the closing power to arrive with a half-neck to spare. He lands all the options from this gate to go back-to-back.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (4) was hemmed away from inside the second line last start and searching for openings had to settle for a midfield return behind BETTOR JIGGLE. A winner from the 1x1 trail four runs back, not much has been in his favour and with an even slice of luck, he can issue a challenge.

FLO RYDA (7) will be hoping a gap arrives with track to work with as he looks in danger of being pegged away. Just 7m away last start when buried in the run, he stays under notice.

MISSTREPO (2) was wide off the track in the latter stages after easing from gate 6 and chased hard for 2nd to the dictating UHURA. From the gate she can be close enough to join in.

SELECTIONS: GANGBUSTER (1), JILLIBY JACKPOT (4), FLO RYDA (7), MISSTREPO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

COURAGEOUS SAM (5)
pressed forward from gate 4 last start and was able to find the front over the 1780m trip. Once in control, he was able to see it out with a half-head to spare on the line. A tough 3rd from gate 6 two starts back, he can force the issue again here to look for a repeat.

MONTEREY JACK (8) was a tough winner here three starts back when pressing ahead to sit parked and grafting out a gritty victory. Again, doing it tough two runs back when parked and only a half-neck away, he can look to get into the battle to issue a challenge here.

ALLAMBIE (7) features in a stable switch to join the State’s leading trainer Jack Butler. Charging home from deep in the pack to grab 2nd to MY ULTIMATE COBBER two runs back, he will be probing.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) is still chasing her first win of the season but comes up with her best marble for some time. In a tricky map, she can be close enough to the action to make a play.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS SAM (5), MONTEREY JACK (8), ALLAMBIE (7), ASHLEE NITRO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAM (5) to win

RACE FOUR

SUGARKANE (4)
should strip fitter from her latest outing where she returned from a spell. Unable to slot in from gate 3, she was soon near the rear and never got warm over the closing stages. Possessing a smart record here at Redcliffe, positioning cheaply can help here capitalise.

ZARAS A TREASURE (5) was not suited over the AP 2138m trip last start, fading out after finding the pegs and then releasing. Midfield over the 2040m here two starts back behind MAGICOL IDEAL, the wide gate stings but a return to the sprint trip is in her favour.

EVERYTHING HAPPENS (6) did not have much go his way here two runs back and was not too far from them. Runner-up at Marburg when working hard in the run at his next outing, the gate dents his chances.

MAHINDI (8) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start from the second line where she eased to the poles to find position and was sound to the wire behind SHES MISS DEVINE. She has claims.

SELECTIONS: SUGARKANE (4), ZARAS A TREASURE (5), EVERYTHING HAPPENS (6), MAHINDI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SUGARKANE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

MISTER WOODPORT (1) settled in the running line last start from gate 2 and was trying to launch a closing raid at the 2040m trip when 2m astern of the winner. Luckless at Marburg two runs back, he can look for the cosy trip behind the speed and be ready to fire the snipers shot.

CALL ME TRISH (3) started from the second line here three starts back and from deep in the pack never had the cleanest passage when holding on for the bronze. Buried from gate 1 two runs back, she made some late ground last start and settling handy from this gate, finds conditions to challenge.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) was not suited at the 2040m last start and did not help himself when getting keen in the run and wilting. Runner-up here two starts back, he can find the pegs and be gripping on.

GINATIANO (6) has not favours from the outside paint here but should be tightened from her latest offering when second up from a spell. Never spotting a gap and still just 5m away, she can join in.

SELECTIONS: MISTER WOODPORT (1), CALL ME TRISH (3), THE RAGNBONE MAN (2), GINATIANO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-6

RACE SIX

CLARES FOOL (3)
was sent around them in the early stages from the second line last start and grafting it out first over, was 8m from the winner. Too tough at Marburg two starts back, he can press the issue here to look for the front and taking control prove hard to stop.

FEELGOOD EXPRESS (4) was wide off the track in the closing stages last time out and had to settle for the bronze when 5m from the winner. Runner-up at her previous 3 in succession, including margins of 1m and a head, she can look to throw down the challenge again here.

REMEMBER EVE (7) will be searching for a slice of luck at some stage from this alley as she looks set to be buried. Going under deep into the red last start, she will be probing.

ABBEY DIADEMA (8) eased from gate 5 last start to settle in the running line before making a wide and sweeping run to arrive in time for the prize. Building towards that win, she can feature again.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (3), FEELGOOD EXPRESS (4), REMEMBER EVE (7), ABBEY DIADEMA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

DESTINY BLUES (4)
did not receive the smoothest passage in transit last week and was not too far from the winner after easing back from gate 6 for position. Placed her previous three in succession, she might just have found the conditions to open the account.

SHEZAMATERIALGIRL (3) showed good hustle from gate 5 last start but just failed to get across. Able to drop down to the pocket trail, she was 8m from the winner, just missing he minor money. From the gate she can find the front this time and will get the chance to challenge.

HEAVENLY SEA (7) has the speed to lead here last week and setting it up in front, led every step bar the one that counted when beaten a breath. With the second line options she can chime in.

GAME KEEPER (5) has hit the board at his past two, the latest when making some nice metres to be 8m from the winner. The wide gate dents the hopes of start 50 being the moment of glory.

SELECTIONS: DESTINY BLUES (4), SHEZAMATERIALGIRL (3), HEAVENLY SEA (7), GAME KEEPER (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

DEVELSTIX (4) did his share of work in finding the front last start and after the early burn was unable to see it out. A winner here three starts back when spearing out from this same gate to take control and pull clear to an 18m margin, he can again look to dart across and see it out.

THE CROM (2) settled in the running line from this same gate two starts back and with the right trip had the closing power to arrive for a 2m margin. At the tail of the field last start but under 9m from the winner in a compact finish, he can be close enough in transit to make a challenge.

CIRCLE LINE (6) tackled the 2040m trip last start and after doing some early work, was strong to the line over the latter stages to be under 2m from the winner. The gate stings but he can be thereabouts.

NEVAEVABEND (7) was hemmed away here two starts back before easing to the outside in the stretch and making a closing play for the bronze when 6m away. She will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: DEVELSTIX (4), THE CROM (2), CIRCLE LINE (6), NEVAEVABEND (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DEVELSTIX (4) to win
