RACE TWO

IAM THE JOKER (5) returns to the triangle where he went 2 for 2 after arriving in Qld. Both those wins came when leading throughout and doing it easily in front. In 2 runs at AP since the last victory, he returned a narrow 2nd and last start was grabbed near the line. He can bounce back all the way.

REDBANK RENDEVOUS (7) will need plenty of luck, but if able to weave some magic to find open road, he can be chiming into proceedings in the stretch. A handy effort when 1st up in Qld 2 starts back at AP, he found the line in good order last start to grab the bronze. Just needs the gaps to open.

WHATA STRIDE (3) was forced to do it the tough way in the breeze 2 starts back from gate 4 and was in for the fight when 5m in arrears of the winner. She can fire the 1st shot here and can place.

THE LAST DRAGON (4) landed in the pocket trail from the ace last start and chased hard to grab 3rd. He will find it a little tougher drawn wider here, but with even luck can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: IAM THE JOKER (5), REDBANK RENDEVOUS (7), WHATA STRIDE (3), THE LAST DRAGON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IAM THE JOKER (5) to win

RACE THREE

STUDLEIGH WILL (4) is possibly going a little better than his numbers suggest and his latest start saw him have no luck at all from inside the 2nd line at Marburg. Restraining from gate 5 here 2 starts back, he was too far astern to get into the contest. He strikes a winnable race and gets his chance.

MACH THE KNIFE (8) was luckless here 3 starts back from inside the 2nd line and was charging in behind them looking for a gap when grabbing the silver behind SPECIAL RESERVE. He beat himself in front 2 starts back when getting keen and couldn’t get position last start. He can arrive here.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (5) was content to keep them wide to maintain the chair last start and from there proved too strong in claiming a Marburg victory. This is tougher, yet he will be right in the fight.

WEASEL (1) hasn’t been having the best run in landing a marble and from the ace this time can look to turn it around. The cosy run will suit and he can probe an opening to fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (4), MACH THE KNIFE (8), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (5), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (4) to win

RACE FOUR

WITH AUTHORITY (8)
has the 2nd line to negotiate here yet he should appreciate the return to conditioned grade after his past 2 have been in Sat night company. Only a neck off victory 3 starts back behind SIR JULIAN, the draw has beat him with a 6 and a 7 his past 2. With even luck, he can pass the $100k stakes barrier in style.

MAKE MINE JOE (4) was claimed last start and will line up in the Nathan Dawson silks for the 1st time. Settling in the running line last start from the 2nd line, he was trying to make ground against the tempo when finishing mid-field. Not much went the start prior and he stays under notice here.

BRADS LUCK (5) steps out on the triangle for just the 2nd time with his previous run here off the back of a freshen. He worked hard last start rom gate 6 over the AP mile and can be sharper here.

STEVIE DEE (1) took on a mares qualifier 2 starts back and didn’t have much luck when searching for an opening after being locked on the pegs from inside the 2nd line. With options here, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: WITH AUTHORITY (8), MAKE MINE JOE (4), BRADS LUCK (5), STEVIE DEE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH AUTHORITY (8) to win

RACE FIVE

COUNTRY RUN (4) is still searching for an elusive Qld victory after finishing runner-up in 4 of his 6 outings since arriving with the Elkins team. Locked away 3 back on the poles last start at Marburg, he stuck to the inside and grabbed 2nd. Tough in the breeze here 2 starts back, he can give this a shake.

ALOT OF COST (10) continued to press forward in the early stages from gate 5 here last start before cover arrived but when the sprint went on, he couldn’t go with them. 2 starts back he found the line in good order to grab the bronze and from back in the pack might be more effective to challenge.

GIGANTIC JASPER (3) has hit some nice form and has been in the quinella numbers at his past 5. He fought hard in the breeze last start and loomed up to the prize, only to be nabbed. He is right in this.

WILLSINTOWN (8) secured the right trail in the running lane last start as the speed was poured on up front and when presented to the outside had the fresh legs to score. He won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: COUNTRY RUN (4), ALOT OF COST (10), GIGANTIC JASPER (3), WILLSINTOWN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COUNTRY RUN (4) to win

RACE SIX

This shapes as a tricky little contest with 2 big queries arising off the front line in terms of the early speed and the ability of some of these to see out 2040m. Consequently, looking to NIKALONG HENRY (9) who should find this a lot easier than his last start when doing some early work in the slick mile claimed by TIZ A SIZZLER at AP. Only 3m away here 2 starts back, he can arrive in this.

SUGARKANE (6) will strip fitter for her run here last week now that she has faced the starter 4 times since returning to start her 3YO term. Dead game in fighting hard all the way to the wire after doing plenty of work in the run off the 2nd line, she can shake off the wide gate to go close once again.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (2) tarted fav last time out at Marburg from gate 3 and was closing out in good order to grab the silver behind VILLAGE CRUISER. From the gate he is in the mix against these.

SCHEU CREEK (7) will need his share of luck in the run as he looks to find some clear space. Locked away on the pegs here last start, he was sound to the line and 2 back was tough in the breeze.

SELECTIONS: NIKALONG HENRY (9), SUGARKANE (6), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (2), SCHEU CREEK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NIKALONG HENRY (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

RETURN ACE (1) pressed ahead from gate 4 last start at Marburg and did his share of work in the run when finishing 3m in arrears of the all the way winner TOPNOTCH MACH. The start prior was a handy effort behind RIVERLEIGH JEFF and with his best gate since arriving in Qld, can look to take full advantage of his early speed.

KATNISS (7) has been racing well against stronger opponents and from this gate will get the perfect trip. 5m from AINTNOBETTOR last start after racing in the trail, she wasn’t suited in the breeze 2 starts back. With a good record here at Redcliffe, she can get the cheap ride and be ready to strike.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (8) has been super consistent with a top-3 in 9 of his past 11 starts including the past 5 in succession. Chasing for the silver in a qualifier last start, look for him swooping home late.

FIRE AND ICE (2) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 3rd up from a break. Luckless in finding position last start, he was only 3m away when 2nd up and from the gate is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: RETURN ACE (1), KATNISS (7), BEEF CITY BLAZE (8), FIRE AND ICE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE EIGHT

IMA BIRUBI BOY (7) eased forward to find the 1x1 trail last start from gate 6 here over the sprint trip and chased hard to grab the silver behind MY CARMEN. Forced to do his share of work the start prior, he will get a soft trip and hitting the lane with good momentum can take a winning shot.

MO JARNEY (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when settling back in the pack from a 2nd line gate and finishing best to score a 2m victory. In 3 runs since that win it hasn’t gone to plan and last start was snagged back from gate 4 to the pegs. With good early speed he can look to make his 100th Redcliffe outing memorable.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (10) started fav from inside the 2nd line here 3 starts back over the 2040m when holding on for 3rd. Too strong here 2 starts back, with the right cart into the contest she has claims.

RANFURLY RULZ (3) did some early work before cover arrived at Marburg last start and he battled well to hold on for 3rd. He is starting to find suitable races and can be in the mix here with even luck.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (7), MO JARNEY (1), TRUNKEY DIGGER (10), RANFURLY RULZ (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BIRUBI BOY (7) to win

RACE NINE

SPEECHCRAFT (6) has been in nice touch since arriving in Qld and will look to go back-to-back here after claiming a stylish Marburg victory last start. Pressing forward from gate 4 to work hard over the 2200m, he packed too many guns in taking the prize. Close up in 2 runs after winning here 4 back, he can overcome the gate impediment.

BIG IN AMERICA (1) has gone a while between victory drinks, however she finds suitable conditions here and with the peg-line benefits can look to take full advantage. Wide off the track last start, she was grabbed in the latter stages by TRUNKEY DIGGER 2 starts back and will be gripping on here.

MISTER HART (9) was good here 2 starts when only beaten a neck and then here last week was huge in defeat after breaking gait at the 500m. with any ounce of luck he can power over the top.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (2) is a horse that likes to look for short-cuts and sprint home late. Gate 2 makes it a little tricky to follow that race pattern, but with placings in 5 of his past 6, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: SPEECHCRAFT (6), BIG IN AMERICA (1), MISTER HART (9), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (2),
SUGGESTED BET:
