RACE TWO

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) has been winless 2 years now, but he finds the right race here to turn that around. Eased back from gate 5 last start, he was too far back to work into it and the start prior was sound to the wire from the 2nd line for a mid-field finish. He can hustle hard to dictate and grip on.

HADLEY (10) ll be further tightened after 2 runs back from a break, with just 3 days between the 2 runs. Returning over the 2138m when down the line in sharp time behind WILLS THE WIZARD, he was then beaten by gate 6 when retreating early and getting too far back. This looks a suitable task.

GRINYDONTCHA (8) was a winner from gate 4 here 3 starts back when spearing out to take control over this sprint trip. Her past 2 have been below her best, but strikes the right contest to atone.

TOTAL DELIRIUM (4) will take good benefit from his latest outing when having his 1st run in 4 weeks. That was a shade easier than this, but with the right run in transit he can be a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2), HADLEY (10), GRINYDONTCHA (8), TOTAL DELIRIUM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) to win

RACE THREE

CALL ME TRISH (8) found herself back in the pack last start from gate 3 and was working home in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner. Runner-up her previous 2 starts, a luckless run when she was all but the winner 3 starts back and then a tough run 2 back. She strikes the right opponents.

BELLA GODIVA (3) has placed in 4 of her 5 appearances this season, the latest when forced to do plenty of work in the run as a red figure fav and holding on for the silver. 4m away from back in the pack the start prior, she can settle closer from this gate and gest her chance to break the maiden tag.

LA PISTOLA (7) will be 1st up since April for Vicki Rasmussen, his most recent start last campaign when 3rd to COMMODORE JUJON. With a handy trial, if the gaps open in time, he can chime in.

HOLLIE (1) has faced the starter on 4 occasions since returning for her 3YO term, with 3 of those from tough gates. With the improved alley this time, she can secure the right trip to fill a minor.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TRISH (8), BELLA GODIVA (3), LA PISTOLA (7), HOLLIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TRISH (8) to win

RACE FOUR

BRADS LUCK (5)
had none last start from this same gate over the sprint trip. Snagging to the rear, he tried to flush some 3-wide cover but with nothing obliging, he eventually ended up working home well along the passing lane. His record over the middle distance is close to faultless and he can take this.

PRECIOUS CULLEN (1) started from gate 9 last start and was closing out strongly in the latter stages to grab the silver and only 1.5m in arrears of the winner. He faced some wide gates that didn’t really suit in 3 starts prior and with the big gate improvement and added fitness, he can challenge here.

PROFICIENT (6) will take benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a break and should find the conditions here an easier assignment despite the gate. Gate 12 didn’t suit behind DANCE FOR GLORY last start and he can be shaper against these.

MAYWYNS BEST (3) was a winner in a similar race here 5 starts back when sent to the breeze and packing too many guns to score. With 2nd line gates his past 3 in succession, he can bounce back.

SELECTIONS: BRADS LUCK (5), PRECIOUS CULLEN (1), PROFICIENT (6), MAYWYNS BEST (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BRADS LUCK (5) to win

RACE FIVE

MONTANA LAD (6)
can do a few things wrong as he continues to hone his craft and lines up here for just the 2nd time in his career. Lats start at AP he caught the eye when attacking the line along the inside after simply getting too far back. If he can handle the triangle and the manner come in the gear bag, this looks within reach.

SONNY SAVEAO (1) resumes from a long spell and will be 1st up after over 12 months on the sidelines. A winner over this trip 5 starts back, he then claimed the bronze at his next 4 in succession, the last 2 beaten a head and a neck respectively. With a smart preparatory trial, he has the gate to capitalise.

WILLSINTOWN (9) worked home to score a nice win here 2 starts back from a 2nd line gate. Again, off the 2nd line last start he was sound after a minor scrimmage and with the right trail can chime in.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (7) looked to lead all the way last start at Marburg over the 1850m when grabbed on the wire. He will get a soft run in transit and can be probing for the splits.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA LAD (6), SONNY SAVEAO (1), WILLSINTOWN (9), BETTOR WATCH HIM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA LAD (6) to win

RACE SIX

KISS CAM (1) was a winner here in slick time when leading them all the way from this gate over this trip 3 starts back, holding on to claim a 5m margin. Beaten by gate 5 at his next run, his latest outing saw him work to the line nicely when 3rd to JUST ROKIN. From the gate he looks set to dictate.

OUR PEPPERJACK (7) has been getting close to a victory and has been runner-up in 3 of his past 4 starts. From the running line here 3 starts back, he chased hard to be best of the chasers behind KISS CAM. Best of the rest last start behind RANFURLY RULZ, he is set for the sniper shot from this gate.

JUST ROKIN (9) has worked her way back into some form and lines up here a winner at 2 of her past 3. Rolling forward to the breeze last start, she was too strong and despite a tough gate can feature.

ARTISTIC SAINT (2) makes his Qld debut for Adam Sanderson and will come into this 1st up since July without a local trial to prepare. A six-time winner in Vic, he stays under notice in this.

SELECTIONS: KISS CAM (1), OUR PEPPERJACK (7), JUST ROKIN (9), ARTISTIC SAINT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KISS CAM (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

BETTOR BECAUSE (4) has been racing well without the reward for her efforts of late. Taking on a mares qualifier over the 2138m last start, she was strong to the line when 5m from the winner CAESARS ASTRUM. Beaten by the gate the start prior, with even luck from the gate, she can prevail.

DE VOYAGE (10) finds herself banished to the outside draw after making an error soon after release last time out. Re-setting, she was soon 3 back on the pegs and angled wider was strong to the line to be 3m in arrears of the winner. Fitter after 3 runs back from a break and back to mares only suits.

SWAFFHAM WATER (7) made the most of the passing lane over the sprint trip here 3 starts back to garb the silver. Her next run at Marburg was a nice effort and with a cheap run here can probe for gaps.

TELL THE FUTURE (1) took them all the way over the 1780m here 2 starts back, holding on for a one length margin. Her best work comes when in front and she will get that opportunity here.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BECAUSE (4), DE VOYAGE (10), SWAFFHAM WATER (7), TELL THE FUTURE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR BECAUSE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1) has placed at his past 2 here on the triangle and lands the perfect gate to look to improve on that. 2 starts back he was game in leading up in a strong tempo over the 2040m and holding on for the silver. Only 3m away last start, the sprint trip from this gate can see him hold on.

SIR MACADOR (3) has been thereabouts since winning a 2nd division qualifier here 5 starts back. Mid-field in a strong qualifier behind SECRETAGENT TYCOON 3 starts back, he was only 4m away last time when working in the breeze. He might need to roll the sleeves again here to be in the fight.

FRENCH GLOBE (7) eased back from gate 3 last start to get to the pegs and look for the short-cuts and chased home to grab the bronze. With a soft trip on offer, he can be looking for gaps late.

LETS DIG IT (4) started from inside the 2nd line last start when away from the pegs and finished over the top from back in the pack. Finding position cheaply will be key to his claims from this gate.

SELECTIONS: IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1), SIR MACADOR (3), FRENCH GLOBE (7), LETS DIG IT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1) to win
