RACE TWO

ALADDIN SANE (8) was huge in victory here 3 starts back when making an early error from the front tape before catching the field and then scoring an arrogant victory. Making errors at or soon after release in both rounds of the DJA, if he can get the start right, he will take some beating.

JANSSON (10) has thrived since the handicapping conditions were altered in this grade of trotting event and has been in the money at his past 9 in succession. Stepping cleanly and moving straight to the front from a 30m tape last start, he had plenty up his sleeve. Those manners are a huge plus.

MALABAR SPUR (7) is in great order with 3 wins in her past 5 appearances, the latest coming here on Friday when settling back in the pack from the 30m before charging over the top. She is in the mix.

HEART OF CHANGE (12) resumes from a break and has opened the pipes in good order at the trials in readiness. A heat winner of the McNeil Series 3 starts back, he will take benefit from this outing.

SELECTIONS: ALADDIN SANE (8), JANSSON (10), MALABAR SPUR (7), HEART OF CHANGE (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

CATCH PHRASE (1) will have garnered further experience from her latest offering when 2nd up and obliged to race tough outside the leader. In for the fight she held on for the bronze when 6m in arrears of the dictating winner WOODLANDS ROSE. With the options, she gets her chance.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (9) started from gate 1 on debut when soon finding himself buried away. 2nd up here last week, he eased into the 1x1 trial from gate 5, the race developed into a turn and burn up the stretch and he powered home smartly. The added experience can see him challenge.

CEEYEAYE (2) returns from a spell following a 2 starts to kick off his career back in May. Not far from the smart BIG WHEELS when 2nd up, he has a pair of tidy trials in readiness and can feature here.

MONTANA MYSTIQUE (6) eased from gate 6 last start and soon found herself a long way back as BONDI SHAKE scored a smart win. Placed in 2 of her past 4 starts, she is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: CATCH PHRASE (1), ALLMIGHTY MAX (9), CEEYEAYE (2), MONTANA MYSTIQUE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CATCH PHRASE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MONARO MIA (7) has made errors at release in the 2 rounds of the DJA that proved costly enough for her to miss a place in the final of the Series she won 2 years back. Her run 2 starts back over the 2647m heats was a tidy enough effort and despite the wide gate, trotting cleanly can see a bounce back win.

SKYLINE (3) was sent around the field from the 20m handicap last start and at the 1100m powered to the front. Once able to dictate, he was never in danger to claim a 2m victory. Finding the DJA just out of reach when slow to muster speed on each occasion, he showed he has an edge in this grade.

AVEROSS DON (1) is yet to win from the mobile but does have the gate advantage here to look at rectifying that. 3rd to MAJESTIC SIMON last start, he can be ready to take a closing shot.

MELPARK MAGIC (2) was safely away from the 10m tape last start to find the pocket trail before chasing hard for 3rd as SKYLINE landed the loot. A swooping winner 3 back, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: MONARO MIA (7), SKYLINE (3), AVEROSS DON (1), MELPARK MAGIC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONARO MIA (7) to win

RACE FIVE

ROCKSLIDE (3)
shoots for a hat-trick of victories after successive Redcliffe wins at his past 2 outings. He caught the eye 1st up in Qld when retreating before trying to weave a passage home and franked that when charging home strongly over the 2040m. Too strong last start, the threepeat is on.

FROST EN ICE (5) could possibly have 4 successive wins to her name but as it stands has 3 wins in her past 4 starts. Striking costly trouble 3 starts back that ended her hopes, she bounce back when leading all the way to a big 18m win. Doing it easy again last time in front, the rise to 2138m is a query she will have to answer.

DATALDO (4) returns from a spell and steps out over the 2138m for the 1st time. Grabbed in the closing strides last start, he was a powerful all the way winner 3 back. With a pair of tidy trials, he is in the mix.

GRETELS GIRL (2) has been runner-up at her past 4 in succession, the latest when ROCKSLIDE was too strong sitting outside her. With early speed, she can be in a forward spot to feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSLIDE (3), FROST EN ICE (5), DATALDO (4), GRETELS GIRL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (3) to win

RACE SIX

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6)
has the wide gate to overcome but can find enough of an edge to overcome the impediment. Too slick in front last start when scoring an easy 8m victory, he was game from the breeze the start prior when within 2m of the in-form LARRY LINCOLN. This is within reach.

MOTU AMETHYST (1) took on the 2138m trip last start hen finding the 1x1 trail from gate 3. Sticking on in the driver to the wire, she held the silver behind the swooping VIENNA BOY. Beaten by the gate the gate the start prior when forced to restrain to find position, she has the options to challenge.

IMA BEACH BABE (8) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when scoring a comfortable 12m victory. Fighting on when 6m from RUNFORTHEROSES last start, she can be probing for gaps here.

SONNY ORLANDO (3) worked across into the running line from gate 6 over this trip 2 starts back before finishing over the top to claim the prize. Not suited in a 2138m qualifier last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6), MOTU AMETHYST (1), IMA BEACH BABE (8), SONNY ORLANDO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

ALLSTAR SEA (10) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 4 over the sprint trip when finishing 3m in arrears of the winner. Snagging back from a wide gate here 2 starts back, he was making a late play to be 5m from the subsequent winner RUNFORTHEROSES. With even luck, he can claim a tricky contest.

SUNNY RICE (8) will be sweating on the 1 looking for an all the way win which would give her 1st shot at the passing lane. Finding the front early last start over the mile, she released before finishing mid-field to OUR FRIEND. Buried away here 3 starts back, she will be waiting for the lane to take her shot.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (12) finished over the top of them last start at the mile to claim a half-head victory. Not much went his way 2 runs back and despite the tough gate he can be charging home.

FLAME LADY (1) has been runner-up in all 4 starts here in Qld and lands the gate to feature prominently once again. Chasing behind FROST EN ICE last start, she has early speed to avail herself to options.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (10), SUNNY RICE (8), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (12), FLAME LADY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLSTAR SEA (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

SPEECHCRAFT (4) showed the benefit of a smart trial when stepping out fresh over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start. Sent straight to the front, he was able to fight them all off in claiming a 3m victory. This is a step up, but with the added fitness he will look to light the lamps throughout.

RANIERI (5) started from gate 6 over the 2138m last time out when finding the running line and holding on for the bronze behind the smart winner OUR UNCLE JIM. 8m away when finishing mid-field behind MAJOR MUCHA in a qualifier 2 starts back, he can feature in this line-up.

MAN OF ACTION (8) took on a 3YO event last start when finding BLACKSADANCE too slick out in front. Gunned down the start prior when leading them up, he can get the soft trip and will probe.

NIKITARAS (9) held the front over the mile from gate 1 last start at the expense of a sub 27 opening panel. That left him vulnerable and he could not see it out. A winner from back in the pack the start prior, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: SPEECHCRAFT (4), RANIERI (5), MAN OF ACTION (8), NIKITARAS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEECHCRAFT (4) to win

RACE NINE

SMOKEY QUARTZ (1) was 1st up back in Qld last start when unable to find position from gate 6 and forced to retreat. Slicing between runners, it was a luckless effort that caught the eye when 5m from the winner INVINCIBLE LOXTON. From the gate he gets all the favours to bounce back.

PACIFIC DRUMS (9) backs up from a qualifier on Saturday night where the gate did him no favours yet he was still closing strongly. Working home in good order wide off the track 2 starts back when 6m in arrears of MAJOR MUCHA, it followed a similar margin defeat when leading them up. He can make a closing challenge here.

ITZ MY GENERATION (6) was too strong for them when racing first over and putting the leader away to claim victory by a head 2 starts back. Forced to retreat and then not able to work into it on Sat night, he is better suited here.

JUST ROKIN (8) will take benefit from her latest offering when 1st up from a freshen. Settling in the running line from gate 10, she worked home well for the bronze behind he smart L L COOL J. She will be coiled and ready to strike.

SELECTIONS: SMOKEY QUARTZ (1), PACIFIC DRUMS (9), ITZ MY GENERATION (6), JUST ROKIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-8-9

RACE TEN

LENNY THE LEGEND (12) will be reliant on some factors being in his favour from the tough gate, but the tempo certainly looks to be there to help the swoopers. Buried away 2 starts back when down the line behind OUR MAJOR DAY, he was strong late from gate 7 at this trip 3 runs back when 3rd to COURAGEOUS SAINT. He can charge home.

MAJOR MUCHA (2) made the most of an improved gate when pouncing on the poles from the ace over the 2138m last time and once in control fought off all challengers in claiming a qualifying victory. His effort behind COLBY the start prior was sound and from the gate can throw it down.

RUN BOY RUN (4) was buried away from inside the 2nd line at the mile last start and never had a clear crack at them when 8m in arrears. Too tough over this trip 4 starts back, he cannot be overlooked from an improved gate.

LITTLE CHANGE (3) settled in the running line form this same alley last week when grabbing the bronze behind ELMS CREEK. His effort on Saturday night in the Members Cup was sound after being forced to chase from a long way back.

SELECTIONS: LENNY THE LEGEND (12), MAJOR MUCHA (2), RUN BOY RUN (4), LITTLE CHANGE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LENNY THE LEGEND (12) to win
