RACE TWO

SHEZ GOT BLING (9) has started to put it together and lines up here after finishing in the money at 8 of her past 11 starts. Eased from gate 6 over the AP mile on Monday, she had bullets to fire in the stretch when swooping late to arrive for a narrow victory. With the right trip, she can swoop late to take this.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (5) shoots for the hat-trick after her latest victory on the grass at Kilcoy when pressing forward from outside the front line to take control and then never bothered thereafter. Arriving over the top after a cosy run in behind the speed 2 runs back,  she can challenge in this.

HARRY CROFT (6) did not have the smoothest run in transit last time out when mid-field behind SHEZ GOT BLING. Kept fresh for that, he has no favours from the wide gate but can chime in.

BERTILS FIREFOX (2) should appreciate the improved alley after a string of tough draws in recent times. With good speed out of the machine, he can settle close to the action and is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (9), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (5), HARRY CROFT (6), BERTILS FIREFOX (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (9) to win

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) took on the strong 2YO feature last start when locked away against the pegs to finish mid-field behind the smart filly DANCE IN THE SUN. A winner here 3 starts back when finishing over the top, he was only a half-neck away at his next outing and looks the one to beat.

FAST TRACKER (4) returns from a spell, last seen when tackling the QBRED Triad consolation and having no luck when down the line. A smart winner 2 starts back when breaking his maiden status, he has trialled with an easy pipe-opener and will be in for the fight fresh up here.

ROCK STAR BABE (1) is still searching for a maiden breaking win after 4 placings in her 12 career starts. Runner-up last outing behind TIMENPATIENCE, she has the gate to find a podium position.

TUESDAYS COURAGE (8) settled in the running line last start and was working home soundly to grab the bronze when 8m from the winner. Finding a similar position here, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5), FAST TRACKER (4), ROCK STAR BABE (1), TUESDAYS COURAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) to win

RACE FOUR

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5) has had his runs spaced this campaign and after facing some strong opponents looks to have found the right conditions here. Snagged back to the fence from gate 4 last start, he closed strongly when 8m from the winner. Despite the gate, he can raise the bat at start 100 in style.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) eased from gate 5 last start over the AP mile to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts. Chasing in vain as SAUCY DREAMS crushed them from the breeze in a slick mile, e can look to utilise the gate here and taking control early can make a strong push for victory.

HARD TO HEAR (7) took on claiming company last start when buried from inside the 2nd line and unable to work into the contest. Sound from gate 6 the start prior, he can take inside runs here.

SAINT KILDA BEACH (6) has a super record here on The Triangle with 5 wins and 2 minors in 8 outings. Her numbers do not tell the whole story this preparation and the gate stings her hopes.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1), HARD TO HEAR (7), SAINT KILDA BEACH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5) to win

RACE FIVE

This looks a tricky contest to dissect with the early speed battle pivotal to the hopes of a few of these. TRACES OF TARA (3) might just have the versatility to capitalise as she possesses good speed out of the machine but is not one dimensional. Swooping late to score here 2 starts back, she might just pinch this.

MISS CATALINA (8) broke a win drought here last time out when sitting back off the speed and finishing over the top to claim victory at the 2040m distance. Runner-up the start prior when finishing in good order from gate 5, this is not any harder than her last start win.

MISS LILY MAY (2) has early speed but has not really fired a shot this campaign. Retreating to find position last start, they were a bit out of reach. Settling close to the action, she is a place hope.

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) looked to take them all the way last start but could not see it out when finishing best of the chasing pack behind the flying ROUSEY. Looking to break a long winless streak, she is a place chance from the gate.

SELECTIONS: TRACES OF TARA (3), MISS CATALINA (8), MISS LILY MAY (2), DARBY BRIGHTS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TRACES OF TARA (3) to win

RACE SIX

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (8)
was beaten by gate 6 last time out when retreating early to find the pegs in the hope of some luck and short-cuts. Making late metres for a mid-field finish behind the leader and winner NESTERS HILL, she can slide through early from this gate and looks to get her chance.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was taking big ground off the leader and winner when grabbing the silver to be within 1.5m. He found the speed a bit too slippery the start prior when 2nd up and tackling the AP mile. From this alley he will be right in the fight.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3) was shuffled back against the poles last start at Marburg before making a strong closing sprint to grab the silver. Not that far away in recent starts, he can be in the mix.

JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (5) has not really put it together at the races since arriving from NSW but has looked OK in his trials. Runner-up to ROCKNROLL SWINGER here 2 starts back, he is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (8), GUY LOOKS GOOD (2), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3), JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

PACIFIC COIN (2) was not suited by gate 6 in a strong qualifier over the 2138m trip 2 starts back and showed the benefit of an easier event when in for the fight from outside the leader here last time out. He can get across to the pegs from the improved gate and can look to dictate thereafter.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (4) should appreciate a return to the front lien after starting off the 2nd row in both starts since returning from a spell. A strong winner 1st up over the 1780m, he was then sent around them early last start over the 2040m to cut the breeze. Holding on for the silver, he will be challenging hard in this.

DEVOUGED (5) was a tidy winner in a non-TAB event 4 starts back and has been runner-up in all 3 appearances since. Using the passing lane last start when within 2m, he will be swooping.

COULDNTBETOLD (9) retreated from gate 6 last time out to find position over the 2040m trip. Closing out in good order for 2nd to A KERRY MAN, he can be looking to join in late here.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC COIN (2), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (4), DEVOUGED (5), COULDNTBETOLD (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

ONE OFF (8) found every possible dead-end last start after settling back in the field behind a suicidal tempo in front. With an un-interrupted passage to the line he would have been much closer but became a victim of circumstance. Only a neck away in a 2nd division qualifier 3 starts back, this suits.

SONNY SAVEAO (6) returns from his latest break after facing the start on just one occasion last preparation. That lone start had followed 9 months off the scene but for all his issues they are matched with ability as he looks for his 5th straight win. Too tough last start, he will throw it down.

SWORD AND SHIELD (2) retreated from gate 5 last start to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts. Never a factor from back in the pack, he can settle closer to the action here and has podium claims.

GOJOE (7) was sent to the pegs last start to look for short-cuts when not that far from the winner HIGHVIEW FREDDY. Snagged back from gate 6 the start prior, he will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (8), SONNY SAVEAO (6), SWORD AND SHIELD (2), GOJOE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (8) to win

RACE NINE

MONTEREY JACK (8) powered home over the top of them to score a tidy win at The Creek 4 starts back. Placed at his past 2 starts since returning here to The Triangle, the latest came when buried 3 back against the pegs and chasing home behind A KERRY MAN. With the right trail he can arrive.

HADLEY (3) started from gate 4 last outing and did some early work prior to receiving cover. Not that far from the winner SPEECHCRAFT, it followed a sound effort in a stronger race claimed by CAPTAIN COSMONAUT. Fitter after 3 runs back from a spell, he can settle handy to challenge in this line-up.

ONLY IN ROME (5) tackled the 2138m trip last start when taking the trail from gate 1 and holding on for the silver. 3rd here 2 starts back after doing some early work, the gate stings but he has claims.

JOVIAL JULIE (4) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when chasing home to grab the bronze behind HIGHVIEW FREDDY. Only a half-neck away up the passing lane 2 back, she can join in here.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREY JACK (8), HADLEY (3), ONLY IN ROME (5), JOVIAL JULIE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY JACK (8) to win
