RACE TWO

Tackling the older horses for the first-time last start, the smart 2YO AWAYWEGO (4) pounced on the lead and was never in danger when pulling clear to a big victory, setting a new career best win rate. Just 4m from LEAP TO FAME the start prior, he can roll along out in front to keep them chasing.

JACKEROO SHANNON (1) heads North for the visiting Rushbrook stable, arriving with a last start 3rd after being buried away in the run. Not owning a great deal of early speed, he was a winner from the trail at Newcastle 5 runs back and will get the cosy trip here.

FORTES IN FIDE (8) will have the 2nd line options here as the only runner out the back. Closing in nice style for the bronze here 2 starts back, he will be looking to make a closing play.

KOTARE ELITE (3) could not go with them when the sprint went on last start despite having an easy time of it against the pegs. She can be sharper in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (4), JACKEROO SHANNON (1), FORTES IN FIDE (8), KOTARE ELITE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (4) to win

RACE THREE

Fitter following one run back from a spell at Marburg, MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (6) finds suitable conditions to land his first win since crossing the Tasman. Sent to sit parked when returning, it was a strong last 800m where he was grinding it out. This looks well within reach.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when charging home in the closing stages for a smart win. Deep into the red at her next start, she could not replicate the victory when finishing with the silver, 3m from the winner. The small field helps her challenging chances.

MICHAELS DESIRE (1) set the speed last start from gate 2 over this trip and was fighting all the way to the wire when beaten a head. The gate gives him every chance to dictate.

MONTANA EXPRESS (8) comes up with options from this gate and should be tightened from his last start when resuming. A Redcliffe winner 3 starts back, he can make a play for the prize.

SELECTIONS: MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (6), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7), MICHAELS DESIRE (1), MONTANA EXPRESS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (6) to win

RACE FOUR

RINGOS A STAR (1)
has been crying out to land a decent gate in the right race and looks to have all fall into place here. Hitting the line in nice order last start when chasing for the silver behind O B LEGAL, he lands all the options here and can look to take full advantage.

SPIRITED BELLE (4) is one of the latest arrivals to join the Ricky Thurlow stable and brings a Newcastle win 3 starts back as her most recent winning performance. Striking trouble last start over the Menangle Mile that ended her race, she finds the right conditions.

RAANI (7) was only just back in the draw last start when making a costly error that ended her chances. Runner-up 2 starts back when just 4m in arrears of LORIMER LADY, she can feature.

BETTOR ROMANCE (6) is a newcomer to the Jack Butler stable that will be coming into this assignment fresh following her last start back in October. Runner-up her previous 2, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: RINGOS A STAR (1), SPIRITED BELLE (4), RAANI (7), BETTOR ROMANCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RINGOS A STAR (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Stepping up to tackle some handy mares in a strong Saturday night contest last start, A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (4) should appreciate a return to this grade. Powering up in front over the sprint trip 2 starts back with a slick last half, she was game when sitting parked outside MAJORCA last time.

ROCKNHOLME (7) had been putting the writing on the wall that a win was not far away after some handy performances and then franked that when finishing over the top of them at Redcliffe last start. This is a step up in grade and the gate dents his hopes, but he can look to overcome it.

VALENCIA (8) started deep into the red last start from gate 7 and after spearing out to take control was unable to maintain the rage. Kept fresh since that outing, he has the 2nd line options.

PRINCESS CHILLA (5) has the tricky gate to negotiate but she has been in nice form since resuming from a spell. Runner-up last start courtesy of a cosy trip, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (4), ROCKNHOLME (7), VALENCIA (8), PRINCESS CHILLA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (4) to win

RACE SIX

DYNAMIC DAN (2)
was luckless last start when searching for gaps that never arrived in time. Trying to take them all the over the Redcliffe 2040m 2 starts back, he was worried out of it on the line by KATACHA MAN. The gate gives him the chance to capitalise.

LORD DIGBY (1) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 5 over the middle trip when sent to the post as favourite. Making a closing challenge to grab the silver, he was 6m in arrears of the winner BONNIES CAM. With the options from this gate, he can throw down the challenge.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (3) started from the six-hole last start when trying to launch a closing raid that netted the bronze behind BONNIES CAM. Moving closer to the action, he can make a play.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (7) has no favours drawn out wide but has been in consistent touch of late, hitting the board in 5 of her past 7 starts. With even luck she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: DYNAMIC DAN (2), LORD DIGBY (1), BANGKOK BRAVADO (3), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DYNAMIC DAN (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

On the back-up from Tuesday night where GENERAL MONTANA (8) claimed a stylish victory, he comes up with what could be a tricky alley to look for the repeat. Careering away to a big 17m win 2 starts back, he can find the running line at the right time to take this.

MAJOR MISCHIEF (1) completed a hat-trick of wins last start when taking them all the way in an easy victory. That followed a gritty performance when sitting parked and fighting them off. The gate makes the options available to throw down the challenge.

AMERICAN FLYER (4) joins the Thurlow stable and arrives first up from a spell. Last seen at Penrith back in September when completing successive wins, she is right in the mix of this.

MISTER DIAMOND (6) was sent forward from gate 7 here 2 starts back and was game in defeat when sitting parked and only 3m from subsequent winner SCOTCH EN ICE.

SELECTIONS: GENERAL MONTANA (8), MAJOR MISCHIEF (1), AMERICAN FLYER (4), MISTER DIAMOND (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GENERAL MONTANA (8) to win

RACE NINE

SOHO SINATRA (5)
will take some good benefit from his latest outing where he was first-up in six weeks. Angled to the pegs from the 2nd line, he was picking off some late metres when midfield in a qualifier. Meeting some much stronger opponents in recent starts without much going his way, he gets he opportunity to cash in.

THE GENERAL (4) was sent forward from gate 6 in a field of 6 last start to sit parked. With the tempo strong throughout, it was a game effort to hold on for the bronze. Eased from gate 7 the start prior, he never warmed up over the closing stages from deep in the pack. With even luck this appeals.

PINUP BOY (3) settled in the running line last time when chasing home behind PHILANDERING CHEF. Grabbing the bronze 3 starts back, he can look to get forward here to make a play.

SWEET LOMBO (1) steps up to this grade with his last win coming over the AP 2138 where he defeated some handy performers. Owning the options, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SOHO SINATRA (5), THE GENERAL (4), PINUP BOY (3), SWEET LOMBO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SOHO SINATRA (5) to win
