RACE TWO

Striking trouble last start when obliged to do it the tough way, A WHOLE LOITTA ROSIE (3) faded under the toll over the mile. Grinding it out when parked the start prior and finishing 8m from the flying machine MAJORCA, she can press forward and finds the opportunity to atone.

JAY TEE TYRON (10) settled in the 1x1 trail here last start over the mile and was strong to the line when finishing under 3m from the winner AMERICAN FLYER where the closing panel of 27.4 in front made it tough to peel back any ground. Finding position, he can throw it down to them.

BETTOR ROMANCE (8) was having her first Qld outing here last start when eased from a wide alley before chiming in for the bronze behind the big winner SPIRITED BELLE. She will be probing here.

STUDLEIGH MARK (1) eased from the middle of the line last time out to find the poles before charging home in the closing stages to grab the silver. The improved gate aids his chances in this.

SELECTIONS: A WHOLE LOITTA ROSIE (3), JAY TEE TYRON (10), BETTOR ROMANCE (8), STUDLEIGH MARK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: A WHOLE LOITTA ROSIE (3) to win

RACE THREE

Landing the perfect alley to match his pattern, LIAM NEIL (1) should find the ideal position. Finding the front from gate 3 last start prior to releasing and then grabbing 3rd to KEAYANG MARVEN, he chased hard the start prior behind BIG WHEELS after retreating. This looks within reach.

MOHS EM DOWN (6) was sent forward from this same gate last start to find the front over the mile. Trying to fight them off, he was game with just KEAYANG MARVEN able to get past. Not suited off the 2nd line the start prior, he can press forward again here to issue the challenge.

JASPER (3) steps up against the older performers here following her last start 3rd when chasing home behind MANILA PLAYBOY. Sitting parked outside BIG WHEELS the start prior, she has podium claims.

KEAYANG MARVEN (8) eased early from gate 4 last start as the field settled in single file before making the move to lead a one-wide line at the 1000m. Grafting out a smart win, he comes up with the 2nd line options to feature.

SELECTIONS:
LIAM NEIL (1), MOHS EM DOWN (6), JASPER (3), KEAYANG MARVEN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LIAM NEIL (1) to win

RACE FOUR

BELLA BALL TERROR (4)
was sent to the post as the favourite last start when rolling forward from gate 5 to sit parked. Grafting away in the small field, he was able to hold on for the silver when within 3m of the winner. His winning chances may depend on how hard he is forced to work.

SPIKE BROMAC (3) features in a barn switch to join the Ryan Veivers team where he previously had just a two-start campaign. Opening the pipes in a sharp trial when blitzing some talented types freewheeling in front, it is over 2 years since his last victory, but his trial suggests he can turn it around.

LIFEOFBRIAN (1) should be able to secure a cosy trip in behind the action and be ready to take a closing shot. Not too far off them in any of his past 3 starts, he will be stalking the speed.

PINUP BOY (8) was not too far away last start over the 2138m trip, and the start prior was at the rear of a small field when not getting into the contest. With a cosy trip he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BALL TERROR (4), SPIKE BROMAC (3), LIFEOFBRIAN (1), PINUP BOY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

Needing to negotiate the wide gate to stake his claim, RINGOS A STAR (7) has been runner-up in his past 2 starts, the latest from the pocket trail when chasing the impressive winner SPIRITED BELLE. Closing out in nice order the start prior from a wide alley, he can overcome the gate impediment.

TROPICAL STORM (4) struck trouble last start that ended his chances after starting from outside the front line at Redcliffe. Strong to the line the start prior from deep in the pack behind FLIGHT CREW, he gets a chance to show some front-line speed after a run of bad alleys. That can be the catalyst for a sharper return.

MONTANA EXPRESS (5) will be further tightened from his latest outing where he was second up from a break. Buried in the run when 3rd to MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR, he can be in the mix.

ARNOLD STREET (2) is a 2YO tackling the older horses that was beaten as the favourite last start when setting the speed over the Redcliffe sprint trip. The gate gives him the chance to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: RINGOS A STAR (7), TROPICAL STORM (4), MONTANA EXPRESS (5), ARNOLD STREET (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Resuming from a spell after his last start in the G1 2YO APG Final in August, CLASS TO THE MAX (1) lands the ideal gate to tackle the older horses for the first time. Sent forward to sit parked from gate 5 in that final, he was game in defeat when within 4m of the winner. With a sharp preparatory trial, he can strike fresh.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (3) made the most of gate 1 last start to fire out and take control in the early stages and once in front was never headed. Beaten in the last strides 2 starts back after finding the front from gate 7, she may need to roll the sleeves here but looks a classy 2YO filly.

MY CHINA DOLL (8) eased from gate 7 here 2 starts back and hit the line in nice order for the bronze. She should enjoy an easy trip in behind the speed here and can make a closing podium play.

SHOWEM SIMON (6) was first up back in the Trent Dawson stable last start when sent forward from gate 7 to sit parked. He should take some benefit from that run which was his 1st in 7 weeks.

SELECTIONS: CLASS TO THE MAX (1), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (3), MY CHINA DOLL (8), SHOWEM SIMON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASS TO THE MAX (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

LUCINDA JAMAR (2)
showed some early hustle from gate 4 last start when taking an early look for the front before receiving cover over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Placed her previous 5 starts in succession, she should be able to find the front from this gate and look for her first Qld victory.

JOEY LINCOLN (8) grabbed the bronze from gate 5 over the Redcliffe 1780m trip 2 starts back when working home from back in the pack behind the easy winner ALLSTART SEA. Trying to eat into the margin claimed by MISTY CREEK last start, he has the 2nd line options to challenge.

TRACER BULLET (7) was a winner from gate 6 here 2 starts back when sent forward to work hard in the run outside the leader and had the grit to see it out. Runner-up on Tuesday, he is in the mix again.

NIKALONG HENRY (6) held the 1x1 trail last start but could no go on with it when finishing midfield. Grinding it out when 3rd here 3 starts back and just 5m in arrears, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: LUCINDA JAMAR (2), JOEY LINCOLN (8), TRACER BULLET (7), NIKALONG HENRY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCINDA JAMAR (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Starting from the 2nd line last start and trying to launch a closing raid, SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (4) came up 2m short of the prize as TRACER BULLET was able to hold on. Chasing home from the running line the start prior behind MISTER DECORUM, a return to the front line should suit here.

TIMENPATIENCE (7) has placed at her past 4 starts on the bounce, the latest when grabbing 3rd. Asked to work hard in that contest when sitting parked over the mile, it followed a 2nd to THE CASUAL GOOSE at Redcliffe when starting favourite. The gate stings but this is not out of reach.

MISTER DECORUM (5) was a winner from the pole here 3 starts back after taking the trail and making the closing shot a winning one. Not suited when working last start, he has podium claims.

BETTING BARON (8) is on the back-up from Tuesday where he secured the run in behind the speed and was just 3m from the winner in a blanket finish. With a cosy trip he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (4), TIMENPATIENCE (7), MISTER DECORUM (5), BETTING BARON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (4) to win

RACE NINE

Stepping out in Qld for the first time since joining the Graham Dwyer stable, MAJESTIC MANNEQUIN (6) looks to have found a suitable race first up. The query is his manners after breaking gait at his past 4 starts, but with a pair of local trials in readiness, if able to trot cleanly, he can strike first up.

AVEROSS DON (5) has 10 victories to his name with each of those wins coming from the standing start. Buried last start when chasing behind IM THE COMMANDO, he was runner-up here 2 starts back as MATATOKI claimed the prize. This looks a drop in grade, and he can throw it down.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (3) was a winner from a front-line handicap 2 start back when finishing hard over the top with subsequent winner MAJESTIC SPEED in 2nd. Mobile conditions are a huge plus.

MISTER CHISHOLM (1) started safely from the 40m tape last start and worked to the front before being crossed and finishing midfield to TAM OSHANTER. The gate gives him podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC MANNEQUIN (6), AVEROSS DON (5), IMA CALVERT ROSE (3), MISTE CHISHOLM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC MANNEQUIN (6) to win
