RACE TWO

BLACKJACK SHAZ (1)
started from this gate on Tuesday and taking the trail was trying to launch a closing raid when grabbing 3rd behind INDY JEWEL. Trying to take them all the way at Redcliffe the start prior when nailed in the closing strides, she has the options and looks to have found her race.

WARRAWEE FLYER (4) did her share of work last start at Penrith when working forward from a wide gate to secure position but then could not see it out. Taken back the start prior to position at the rear of the pack, she can look for a sharper return first up in Qld.

WHATA SPORT (5) is a Sportswriter gelding on debut for John McMullen that has trialled in nice order in readiness for his first race appearance. The gate is tricky, but he is a podium hope.

JUDGE JUJON (6) has been kept fresh since his last outing where he started from the 2nd line and didn’t really get warm behind MISTER REACTOR. The gate stings but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK SHAZ (1), WARRAWEE FLYER (4), WHATA SPORT (5), JUDGE JUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKJACK SHAZ (1) to win

RACE THREE

Working his way into some solid form in recent weeks, ALLSTAR SEA (10) may have the tricky gate to negotiate but finds the right conditions to add another to the tally. A winner in 3 of his past 4 appearances, he had the closing power to arrive last time and can look to repeat.

JOEY LINCOLN (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried and needing some luck in the run. Retreating at Redcliffe the start prior as MISTY CREEK controlled it, het gets the opportunity to settle close to the action which gives him the chance to challenge.

WHATELEY (1) lands the options from the ace that should see him in a position to feature. Fading after doing some early work last time out, the gate is his friend for this battle.

TRACER BULLET (5) has been in some nice touch of late with a top-3 in 5 of his past 6 starts. Closing out in nice style from gate 7 last time, he can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (10), JOEY LINCOLN (2), WHATELEY (1), TRACER BULLET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLSTAR SEA (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Shooting for a hat-trick of victories after wins here at headquarters and at Marburg, the in-form mare BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7) can look to overcome the wide alley. Wide off the track over the closing stages at Marburg last start, she swept home to score here 2 back and the threepeat is on.

GOALKICKER (10) has been in a consistent run of form, hitting the board at her past 5 in succession. Firing out before taking the trail in a mare’s qualifier last start, she was making a late dive to get within a half-head of the winner SPIRITED BELLE. A Marburg winner 3 starts back, she can challenge.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (6) has a tricky alley to overcome but is in nice touch. Grinding it out for the bronze last start from gate 5 when 7m from the winner. With even luck he can chime in.

WOODLANDS WONDER (8) made the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe 2 starts back, taking them all the way over the 2040m trip. Closing hard from the 2nd line last start, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7), GOALKICKER (10), THE CASUAL GOOSE (6), WOODLANDS WONDER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7) to win

RACE FIVE

Still searching for his first win in the Sunshine State, conditions might be right for TROPICAL STORM (8) to take his shot here. Pressing out from gate 4 to take control last start as the favourite, he led deep into the stretch only to be collared late. He will be stalking the speed and ready to strike.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2) was asked to hang tough when parked last start and faded as CLASS TO THE MAX proved too classy in front. An all the way winner here 2 starts back when taking control from the ace and claiming a comfortable 4m victory. Firing early bullets, she can challenge.

KISSESFORYAMISSES (1) should take benefit from her latest start where she was 3rd up from a break but had 6 weeks between her 1st and 2nd runs. With an improved alley, she can feature.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3) was sent forward for the 2nd line last start at Marburg to get to the breeze and fought hard when 3rd to SIR BULSKI. Settling handy he can hit the board again.

SELECTIONS: TROPICAL STORM (8), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2), KISSESFORYAMISSES (1), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE SIX

Having to negotiate a wide alley BELLA BALL TERROR (6) may need to work in the run again here but is up to the task. Runner-up here 2 starts back when sent out as the favourite, he was asked to race tough when parked last start with a slick last half making it tough going. This is within reach.

THE HERVEY BAY (3) set the speed from gate 6 here 3 starts back and looked set to take them all the way before being collared in the closing stages. Down the line behind DEUS EX at his next start, he was beyond midfield and then sent for a break. Resuming here, he can throw it down fresh.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (9) settled back in the pack from gate 6 here on Tuesday before making a closing raid to be just 1m shy of the winner GLENLEDI BOY. With the right trail he can chime in again.

PRINCESS DANICA (1) will take good benefit from her return to the track last start when 1st up in 11 months. The improved alley gives her podium claims.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BALL TERROR (6), THE HERVEY BAY (3), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (9), PRINCESS DANICA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BALL TERROR (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR MISHCIEF (9)
settled in the pocket trail here 2 starts back and was trying to make a closing play when 3m from the winner AMERICAN FLYER. Wide off the track last start against the tempo, he finds the chance to get an early trail and a stronger tempo to take the closing shot.

SPEED OF SOUND (2) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when firing out in the early stages to take control and then lead them all the way in smart time. Striking trouble last start that ended her chances, she has the gate to be in the right position to challenge.

MAGICOL IDEAL (3) started from inside the 2nd line last time out when buried in the run over the mile. Closing out in nice order in a blanket finish and just 4m from the winner, he is right in the fight.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (6) sat in the pocket trail last start and after the leader pinched a pedestrian opening half, he couldn’t quite reel it in down the stretch. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISHCIEF (9), SPEED OF SOUND (2), MAGICOL IDEAL (3), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MISHCIEF (9) to win

RACE NINE

In a race where a few of the combatants have questionable credentials over the 2138m, a late charge from WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (10) might be enough to sneak away with the loot. A passing lane winner here 2 starts back at this trip, he was not suited when asked to sit parked at the mile last time. With the right tempo he can arrive.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5) pressed on from gate 3 here last start but with no lead eased to secure the 1x1 trail. Owning the best closing power, she was able to hold on for a narrow victory. Striking trouble the start prior, she can be close enough to the action to challenge.

CALL ME KEITH (3) will take added benefit from his last start 3rd where he was 3rd up from a spell. Grinding it out when parked outside CAPTAINS PICK, he may need to hang tough once more.

JAY TEE TYRON (8) is winless in 14 attempts over this trip but from the trail should secure a cosy trip in the run. Runner-up at his past 2 starts at the mile, the latest when beaten a pimple, he can be probing here.

SELECTIONS: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (10), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5), CALL ME KEITH (3), JAY TEE TYRON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (10) to win

RACE TEN

Claiming a qualifying win last start when leading throughout from gate 4 at the mile, OHOKA CHOPPER (1) can look to take the opportunity from this alley. From the running line 2 starts back he grabbed the bronze behind MAJORCA and with all the options, he gets his chance to capitalise.

GOLIGHTLY (8) secured the ideal trip last start in behind the speed and when angled for the passing lane owned superior close out speed to claim the win. Game in defeat after a mid-race move to sit parked the start prior, he will be stalking the speed ready to strike.

MOHS EM DOWN (9) eased from gate 6 to find the running line last start when trying to launch a closing raid and finishing 10m from the winner. Pressing through from this gate can see him feature.

LIAM NEIL (4) tried to take them all the way last start from gate 1 over this trip and was in front deep into the stretch, only to be collared in the last strides. He can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: OHOKA CHOPPER (1), GOLIGHTLY (8), MOHS EM DOWN (9), LIAM NEIL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-8-9

RACE ELEVEN

A strong mares race to close the card with plenty of varied form lines to dissect. DANCE IN THE SUN (5) will take further benefit from her latest performance where she was 2nd up from a spell. Resuming with a 2nd when chasing behind the in-form GENERAL MONTANA, she was banished to the trials after making an error 2nd up. Earning the return, back to her own sex is a big plus.

SPIRITED BELLE (9) can overcome the 2nd line gate as she searches for a hat-trick of victories. Pressing on from gate 6 to take control in a mare’s qualifier last start, she put it out of reach the start prior when in front and ripping home a sub 27 panel. She will need to chase but looks up to the task.

AMERICAN FLYER (8) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when firing out from gate 4 to take control and once in front was never headed. The gate makes it tricky as she is in danger of being buried, but she can make a closing play.

CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3) returns to Qld and has two previous wins here at The Creek against her name. A last start Penrith winner, she can be close enough to the speed to chime in.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (5), SPIRITED BELLE (9), DANCE IN THE SUN (5), AMERICAN FLYER (8), CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (5) to win
