RACE TWO

WOODLANDS ROSE (2)
released the speed here 4 runs back from gate 1 and then using the passing lane was trying to gather them in, holding on for the bronze. Tackling stronger races at headquarters in the 3 runs since, a return to the Peninsula is a big plus and she has the gate to capitalise.

WOODLANDS WONDER (9) made the most of the good alley here last week when holding them wide in the early stages and taking them all the way over the 2040m trip. Gunned down in the last strides the start prior as SPEED OF SOUND nabbed him, he will need to chase to challenge here.

LARA BAY (5) held them wide from gate 1 over the AP mile last start and was trying to fight them off when finishing 7m in arrears of the winner. Searching for her first win for the Sallis barn, she can chime in.

HALF MOON BEACH (8) was sent forward to sit parked last start and despite the tough trip was still giving to the wire when holding 3rd to WOODLANDS WONDER. He can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WOODLANDS ROSE (2), WOODLANDS WONDER (9), LARA BAY (5), HALF MOON BEACH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WOODLANDS ROSE (2) to win

RACE THREE

THE RAGNBONE MAN (3)
has been a model of consistency in recent weeks, missing a top-3 just once in his past dozen attempts. Sent forward to sit parked from the 2nd line last time out, he was in for the fight, giving all the way to the wire. With great early hustle, he can look to take control of this.

ALTANA BLUE (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start when hemmed away and looking to make a closing play, grabbing the bronze behind MISTY CREEK. Locked away the start prior at Marburg, he was game in defeat after working hard 3 starts back and can be looking to issue a challenge here.

LETS BLAZE (8) has had 3 runs back from a break and been able to display steady improvement at each outing. Closing out in nice order behind WOODLANDS WONDER last start, he can chime in.

CHARLEVOIX (1) should appreciate an improved gate after facing some wider gates in his 2 starts since arriving in Qld. Not suited when asked to grind it out when parked last start, he can probe.

SELECTIONS: THE RAGNBONE MAN (3), ALTANA BLUE (9), LETS BLAZE (8), CHARLEVOIX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE RAGNBONE MAN (3) to win

RACE FOUR

IM JIMMY JAMES (8)
has now had the 2 starts for the Butler stable since arriving in Qld and been able to place on both occasions. From gate 9 last start, he was sent to the post favourite and was trying to make the closing raid when runner-up to SPEED OF SOUND. A solid tempo will help his cause.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3) is at his best when able to take control and try to lead them all the way. 4 starts back he was able to take the lamp lighting duties from gate 1, defeating MAJOR MISCHIEF who won his next 3 starts. Not suited off the 2nd row in 3 starts since the win, he can throw it down here.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1) should appreciate an easy trip in behind the speed here, a position he secured 2 starts back when runner-up to FAIRIESDELIGHT. A similar trip can return a similar result.

MACH TORQUE (4) has been around the money in recent starts, hitting the board in 5 of her past 7 that includes a win over this trip 2 starts back. Settling handy, she can be making a closing play.

SELECTIONS: IM JIMMY JAMES (8), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1), MACH TORQUE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IM JIMMY JAMES (8) to win

RACE FIVE

TULHURST LOVER (5) has a super record here on The Triangle, hitting the board in 12 of her 16 appearances which includes 6 victories. Eased from gate 6 last start, she was near the rear before attacking the line to power over the top for a 4m victory. A winner in similar style 3 runs back from this gate, she can rinse and repeat.

REGRETABLE (1) trailed them in here last start from gate 3 after not having the hustle to get across from gate 3. Gunned down in front 2 starts back from gate 2, when holding on for the bronze, she took them all the way here 4 starts back and the inside advantage is a big asset for this battle.

COUNTRY RUN (7) was a Marburg winner 3 starts back when leading throughout after a steady opening half. Close up at The Creek at his next start, he can get the cosy trip here to chime in.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (3) was a winner here 2 starts back when pressing on to find the front from gate 4 and once in control, held a 3m winning margin. Just 4m in arrears last start, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST LOVER (5), REGRETABLE (1), COUNTRY RUN (7), TORQUE TO THE MAX (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TULHURST LOVER (5) to win

RACE SIX

IL MAXIMUS (4)
is moving towards another win after finishing as the runner-up at his past 2 attempts. From gate 5 last start, he was attacking the line strongly over the closing stages to be just a head from the winner LA SAFRON. With some mid-race pressure, he can look to arrive here.

HAMMERTIME HARLEY (1) is in great touch and with some better luck in her races may just have a picket fence. Runner-up in successive starts from gate 6 in each when beaten a lip and a head, she proved too strong when parked, again from gate 6 last start. The improved gate is a huge asset.

GASMONKEY (3) started from the 2nd line last start and was wide off the track when trying to launch a closing raid, grabbing the silver when 3m in arrears. From the gate he can get forward to feature.

LA SAFRON (5) finished over the top of them from the 2nd line here 2 starts back at the 2040m trip. Last start over the sprint trip, he was within 2m of the winner and can be making a closing raid here.

SELECTIONS: IL MAXIMUS (4), HAMMERTIME HARLEY (1), GASMONKEY (3), LA SAFRON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-5

RACE SEVEN

SHES ALL STAR (4)
was a winner from this same gate 2 starts back when pressing forward to take control and once in front was able to hold on for a narrow victory. Asked to do it the tough way last start when grinding it out after being sent forward from the 2nd line, she can take control of this.

WRITE TIME (9) has put together a neat record here at Redcliffe with 5 wins from his 8 appearances. Eased away from the peg line last start, he owned the best finishing power to sweep home and nail the prize right on the wire. The gate stings but he can be attacking late to challenge again.

GO AWAY (5) eased from gate 5 over the AP mile last start before making late ground to grab the bronze behind TRACER BULLET. The gate stings but she can be making a play in this line up.

WEASEL (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was making the closing rally to get within an eyelash of victory. If he can hold leaders back, he can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: SHES ALL STAR (4), WRITE TIME (9), GO AWAY (5), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES ALL STAR (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

GRIGORA (8)
resumes off a long break after his last race appearance came in the 2020 2YO Breeders Consolation claimed by CAPTAINS PICK. All his 2YO form was behind horses that have since gone on with the job and with a pair of trials in readiness for the return, finds a winnable maiden first up.

TEE RAVELLING (9) is another that returns from a long break after just 3 starts as 2YO back in 2020. A passing lane 2nd on debut behind CHAMONIX, he was within 3m of the winner when 2nd up. He faces The Triangle for the first time off the back of one trial and can look to challenge fresh.

GAME KEEPER (3) showed some early hustle last start before finding cover and then not finishing too far from the winner LESVOS LAD. Eased from gate 5 the start prior, he can feature in this.

MY GIRL BLAZE (4) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when asked to do it the tough way when parked as SLIDE TO UNLOCK claimed the prize. With even luck in transit she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GRIGORA (8), TEE RAVELLING (9), GAME KEEPER (3), MY GIRL BLAZE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GRIGORA (8) to win

RACE NINE

AUNTY EMILY (3)
was making a closing challenge over the AP mile 2 starts back and was able to get within a half-head of the winner. Finishing over the top of them at her next start to score a career PB, she was best of the chasers behind DATALDO last start. From this gate she can look to capitalise.

DIG DEEP (1) was working towards a win and was able to take control from this same alley 2 starts back to lead them all the way and claim a maiden breaking win. Beaten by the wide gate last start as DATALDO blitzed them, a return to the tight gate against this opposition is a big plus.

CONTESSA JUJON (6) has had 4 starts since returning from a long break and it has been a real hot and cold situation. Making costly errors in 3 of those 4, she got it right in the other start to lead them all the way for an easy 9m victory. If clean throughout, she can win.

SENORA JUJON (4) broke through for the maiden breaking win 3 starts back, holding on in a blanket finish for a narrow victory. Tackling much more experienced opponents at her next 2 starts, a return to this grade looks suitable.

SELECTIONS: AUNTY EMILY (3), DIG DEEP (1), CONTESSA JUJON (6), SENORA JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AUNTY EMILY (3) to win

RACE TEN

ALTA REVELRY (6)
had trialled in nice style in readiness for his first race appearance and was sent to the post deep into the red. Delivering a first up victory when putting his opponents to the sword with a 20m victory, his only concern will be The Triangle, but his class should be superior.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (2) has been to the track 3 times since resuming from a spell and had no favours from the draw in any of those. Eased from gate 6 before making a closing rally to be within 5m of the winner last start, she has the early speed to find the poles which gives her a challenging chance.

MERGE RIGHT (3) was too tough last start when sitting parked and grafting out the victory with a slick closing quarter. Placed in both starts prior, she has a place chance.

SELECTIONS: ALTA REVELRY (6), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (2), MERGE RIGHT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTA REVELRY (6) to win
