RACE TWO

CALVERT HOT SHOT (9)
made the most of gate 1 last start at Marburg when sent straight to the front and once in control was able to rip home a smart closing 800m split to put it out of reach for the chasers with a 17m victory. The gate is a little tricky, but some front-line tempo will help.

ALTANA BLUE (3) started favourite here last week from gate 3 and was left exposed in the run when trying to grind it out after sitting parked. Unable to finish it off, it followed a 2m 2md when sent around them from the 2nd line to do the work in the run. He will be throwing it down again here.

CANNAN (2) lands his best alley in recent outings after facing wide and 2nd line barriers at his past 4 starts. Beaten by gate 6 last start, settling closer to the action puts him in the mix.

HIGH ON MONTANA (6) will be tightened from his last outing where he was returning from a break. Best of the chasers to grab the silver behind CALVERT HOT SHOT, he can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: CALVERT HOT SHOT (9), ALTANA BLUE (3), CANNAN (2), HIGH ON MONTANA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CALVERT HOT SHOT (9) to win

RACE THREE

MONTEREY JACK (8)
eased from gate 5 to secure position last start and was soon back in the pack and trying to make a closing play that did not get far. Strong in the closing stages the start prior, he can follow through after the start to settle handy and this open contest looks within reach.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon angled away from the poles into the running line. Finishing 8m from the winner RINGOS A STAR, the start prior she was close to MARIANNA BROMAC at headquarters and with the cosy trip can look to challenge here.

KEAYANG TARA (5) had an early look last start and after initially being caught outside the leader, was able to receive cover. Not too far off the winner in a blanket finish, she is right in this.

OCEAN LANE (7) was sent forward from gate 4 last start and despite a steady tempo early was unable to see it out, folding up in the closing stages. With the cosy trip, he can search for openings.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREY JACK (8), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1), KEAYANG TARA (5), OCEAN LANE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY JACK (8) to win

RACE FOUR

ABERCROMBIE TAB (7)
has placed in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest from this same alley where he was eased away from the poles in the early stages into the running line. Grabbed in the closing strides here 3 starts back when setting the speed, he will be stalking the speed ready to strike here.

TRACES OF TARA (1) set the speed last start over the AP mile and was trying to fight them off in the stretch when coming up a half-head shy of the prize. Asked to do it the tough way when parked the start prior and resuming from a spell, she has the gate to look for an all the way victory.

WEASEL (4) was runner-up here 2 starts back when making a closing rally and coming up just an eyelash from landing the prize. Not suited off gate 1 last start, he can be chiming in.

WAVEDANCER (9) was wide off the track last start when joining in over the closing stages and was not too far from the winner. Fresh since that outing, he will be looking for a cart into the contest.

SELECTIONS: ABERCROMBIE TAB (7), TRACES OF TARA (1), WEASEL (4), WAVEDANCER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-8

RACE FIVE

BERTILS FIREFOX (3) should take good benefit from his last start where he was asked to do plenty of work in the run from gate 6 at his first run back from a spell. Working hard when parked, he faded and sent back to the trials has earned the return ticket. With early hustle, if able to take control cheaply, he can bounce back strongly.

PATCHWORK JET (7) pressed on to take control last start from gate 4 but was unable to see it out when fading in the latter stages. Grabbed in the stretch the start prior when looking to take them all the way, he should secure the easy trip here and will be probing for the gaps to challenge.

JAMAICAN RESORT (8) eased soon after the start last time out and was soon hemmed away and did not really make an impression. Just 7m from the winner 3 starts back for 3rd, he can chime in here.

CAMPBELL BEST (1) started from this alley last time out when releasing in the early stages for a midfield finish behind NEVAEVABEND. Grabbed late when leading the start prior, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BERTILS FIREFOX (3), PATCHWORK JET (7), JAMAICAN RESORT (8), CAMPBELL BEST (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BERTILS FIREFOX (3) to win

RACE SIX

MANY DELIGHTS (3)
overturned a long winless streak with a gritty victory when sitting parked over the sprint trip here 5 runs back. Pulling clear to a big 14m victory just 2 starts later, he has been stung by wide gates at his past 2 starts. Getting handy to the action from this alley, he can arrive.

PRIVATE JUJON (4) was a winner here 4 starts back when owning the best closing speed after settling in the 1x1 trail in transit. Making a late challenge to grab the silver 2 starts back, he can slide into the running line here and with the right trip can be ready to launch a closing challenge.

THE LAST STARFIRE (1) will appreciate the inside alley here and on the peg line looms as a podium hope. Fading his past 2 starts, he can be sharper here.

DUKE (8) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts and from this gate will be looking to follow through soon after the start. A beaten favourite here 2 starts back, he has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: MANY DELIGHTS (3), PRIVATE JUJON (4), THE LAST STARFIRE (1), DUKE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MANY DELIGHTS (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHES ALL STAR (5)
has been super consistent here at Redcliffe where her record shows 4 wins and 4 minors in 11 outings. Firing out from gate 4 to set the speed here last start, she was grabbed in the closing stages, going under as a red figure fav. Taking them all the way 2 starts back, she looks hard to stop in this line up.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when making the most of the inside gate to lead throughout and claim a 5m winning margin. Eased back through the pack from gate 4 last time out, she can show the early hustle to get forward here and make a challenge.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (8) is nearing another win after finishing as the runner-up in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest when making a closing dive and coming up just 1m shy of the prize. Despite the 2nd line she can feature again.

TEACHERS PET (4) started from the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the favours in the run, was able to cruise home for a smart 9m victory. Buried away last start, she has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: SHES ALL STAR (5), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (8), TEACHERS PET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES ALL STAR (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

SUNNY COVE (3)
has placed in both his starts to date, proving a little costly by going under as a short-price elect in both outings. Showing his share of ability, equally matched by his inexperience, he set the speed for the first 1000m last start before IM PLAIN JANE zoomed by and went on to a massive win. If he can settle in the run, he looks to get his chance.

THE WHISTLER (7) will again take more benefit from her latest outing, having now been to the track on 3 occasions after 12 months off the scene. Grabbing the silver here 2 starts back after being buried in the run, she was again angled to the pegs last start when down the line. She will be probing.

GAME KEEPER (5) is the most experienced runner in this field as he continues to search for the elusive maiden breaking win. Not coping when sitting parked last start, he has podium claims here.

ROCK STAR BABE (8) held the pocket trail last start from gate 1 but could not go with them when the power went on in the closing stages. This may be a shade easier.

SELECTIONS: SUNNY COVE (3), THE WHISTLER (7), GAME KEEPER (5), ROCK STAR BABE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7)
was snagged back in the early stages last start from gate 6 before making a wide run off the track to be 4m in arrears of the winner JEREMES GOTTA GO. Put into the contest in the middle stages 3-wide from this same gate 2 starts back, she has the 2nd line options to arrive.

TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (5) resumes from a spell after his last appearance came in the Triad Final where he struck trouble and under the circumstances, the run was full of merit. A strong winner 2 starts back to open his account, this will be his first look at The Triangle.

BACK TO BETOOTA (4) is a Hes Watching gelding on debut for Bruce Jenkins and is the first foal to race of the four-time winner Lady Latte. With a tidy trial in readiness, he is in the mix.

MIKIYOURSOFINE (2) arrives in Qld with the relocated McCall stable, having faced the starter on 2 occasions, both at Penrith. Midfield in both outings, he should find this easier than his last start and stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7), TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (5), BACK TO BETOOTA (4), MIKIYOURSOFINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7) to win
