RACE TWO

THREE MUGS IN (1) wasn’t suited from gate 7 last start when snagged back at release to look for short-cuts up the pegs. Keen in the run he was within 9m of the winner after closing out in nice style. 3 starts back he landed the loot up the passing lane to make it successive wins in that fashion and from this gate can be coiled and ready to strike.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (2) found the front from this gate 3 starts back and despite forced to carve out a sub 27 opening panel, he was still able to fight them off for a smart win. Gunned down at his next start as a red figure fav, he did it tough here on Tues. He can look to dictate and hold on.

BIG BANG LEONARD (9) was large in defeat here 2 starts back when wide early in a slick opener and then fighting hard in the breeze when beaten a lip. Too far back last start, he can bounce back here.

MARETTI (8) will take great benefit from his return to the track last start when 1st up this campaign. Doing his share of work, he then went to the line looking for openings in a nice return. Peg-hugging can pay dividends here.

SELECTIONS: THREE MUGS IN (1), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (2), BIG BANG LEONARD (9), MARETTI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE MUGS IN (1) to win

RACE THREE

With his preferred pattern out in front and setting the speed, MAYWYNS BEST (1) looks to have found the right conditions for a Saturday night success.  He took them all the way from gate 4 here 3 starts back and followed that with a tidy effort when retreating from gate 6. Pouncing on the poles here and with limited pressure, he might just be able to pinch this.

HARD TO HEAR (3) has been in great form and lines up here in search of a hat-trick after wins at the middle distance and sprint trip. Eased back form gate 6 last start in a qualifier, he powered home to arrive for a smart win. Settling in a handy spot, look for him making the closing play.

HES OKEY DOKEY (8) steps out in Qld for the 1st time, joining the Jack Butler stable. Down the line last start at Menangle, he can secure a cosy run in transit here and be probing the openings.

JUST DEAL IT (2) didn’t have much luck last start when eased back from gate 6, yet when making a late challenge was attacking the line strongly. A passing lane winner 3 starts back, she can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS BEST (1), HARD TO HEAR (3), HES OKEY DOKEY (8), JUST DEAL IT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE FOUR

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2)
speared out of the Hilux to find the front last start over the mile and setting the tempo was grabbed in the closing stages when 4m from the winner CHERRYS THE BEST. Only beaten a half-head the start prior over the mile, he steps up to the 2138m here but with the options can arrive.

JAMIES BAD BOY (4) has been a model of consistency with an even split of 4 wins and 4 2nds in his 8 appearances here at The Creek. He made an error last week from gate 1 that cost him the leaders back spot and from 3 poles he was still only a head from the win. He can challenge hard in this.

FEEL THE REIGN (3) was back in the pack from a 2nd line gate last start when down the line behind MAYWYNS COURAGE. A nice 3rd here 3 starts back, he positions forward here and has claims.

CONDAFEW (11) backs up from Wed night where he looked a chance from a tricky gate. He lands another tough alley here, but f the power is on, look for him swooping home in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2), JAMIES BAD BOY (4), FEEL THE REIGN (3), CONDAFEW (11)
SUGGESTED BET: DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2) to win

RACE FIVE

LIVE ATOM (1) will take benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a freshen. Starting from the 2nd line, he was safely away to erase the ODM embargo. An all the way winner over the 2138m trip here 3 starts back, he can utilise his speed from the machine to make start 50 a success.

CHERRYS THE BEST (7) has been in great touch, mixing speed and stamina to land a finish in the top-3 at her past 7 in succession. Attacking the line with gusto last start to arrive for a stylish win over the mile, that followed successive 2nd placings at 2138m. The gate hurts but she can still challenge.

JOHNNY WHITE (6) aims up to keep his Qld record in-tact after successive wins here at The Creek since arriving from NSW. Arriving off a brutal tempo over the 2138m to cruise past them, he can’t be ignored.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (5) worked home in nice style last start to grab the silver when only 2m from the winner. This is a step up, but he has been showing good improvement. Podium claims appeal.

SELECTIONS: LIVE ATOM (1), CHERRYS THE BEST (7), JOHNNY WHITE (6), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVE ATOM (1) to win

RACE SIX

OUTLAW FELLA (8) had to roll the sleeves here on Tues when parked over the mile. With the power on all the way, he faded late to finish mid-field. Luckless from tough gates prior to that, he was a winner 5 back when setting a new PB. Following a good beginner, he can make the closing shot a winning one.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (2) comes out of that same race when angled to the pegs from the 2nd line and chasing in vain. His run 2 starts back had merit when facing the breeze which isn’t his caper. Settling close to the speed from the good gate, he can secure the right trip to challenge here.

BEE GEES BANDIT (5) was 7m from the winner VINNY CHASE here on Tues in a strong mile, chasing hard as the leader and winner put the power on. Finding cheap position can see him chime in here.

MAJOR CURRENCY (3) sat back in the pack last start from a 2nd line gate and wasn’t too far away over the 2138m trip. Finding the line strongly from gate 12 the start prior, he has claims here.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (8), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (2), BEE GEES BANDIT (5), MAJOR CURRENCY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUTLAW FELLA (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

Having been deserted by the barrier gods in recent times, MACH ALERT (1) has paid his penance and finally lands a marble. Running superb closing sectionals from bad gates, he has just found himself too far back to make up the deficits. Only 4m away last start after retreating from gate 7 and then charging home, he can tuck up in the snipers seat ready to pull the trigger.

CLINTAL DO (8) secured the right trip last week and angled to the passing lane was able to cruise through to claim a narrow victory. That followed a tidy effort behind WATCH PULP FICTION when within 5m and with the cosy trip on offer can be probing for gaps to chime for the challenge.

SAMS THE MASTER (4) is going better than his numbers suggest with just race patterns working against him. Forced to retreat from gate 5 last start before closing nicely, he can feature in this.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (2) was disappointing last week after firing up and doing some work dropped out. Not far away from the 2nd line 2 starts back behind ZAHVEN BANNER, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: MACH ALERT (1), CLINTAL DO (8), SAMS THE MASTER (4), GLENFERRIE HOOD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH ALERT (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

A super consistent mare that always puts in, QUIETLY SPOKEN (3) is also a fast beginner from the mobile. 5 starts back over the mobile mile, she speared out from gate 4 and took them all the way to claim the prize. Too strong over this trip from a 20m tape 2 starts back, she has the versatility to land her 14th win at The Creek.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (9)
is another chasing his 14th AP victory and although he has limited experience from the mobile, he should appreciate starting closer to the field than his recent starts. His effort had merit last start when breaking gait which had followed a strong 2nd to QUIETLY SPOKEN. He is right in the fight.

REIGN ON ME (4) made the most of the front tape last start and after releasing the pressure mid-race had bullets to fire in the stretch when sweeping home up the passing lane to score. She is right in the mix.

SPRINGBANK EDEN (7) doesn’t have the greatest figures from the mobile, but he has been in great touch in recent weeks. Shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start, he faded late and despite the gate has claims here.

SELECTIONS: QUIETLY SPOKEN (3), NORTHERN MUSCLE (9), REIGN ON ME (4), SPRINGBANK EDEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: QUIETLY SPOKEN (3) to win

RACE NINE

OUTA THE BLUE (7) caught the eye on debut when finishing off stoutly to grab the silver when only a half-head from the winner. Franking that effort 2nd up, she charged home in the closing stages to arrive for a smart win. The wide gate hurts, but with the added experience and confidence, she can arrive.

STOKER ACE (1) has placed in both career starts thus far, the latest when making good closing ground in the stretch to be 1m from OUTA THE BLUE. He didn’t show much early hustle on that occasion from this same gate, so if able to settle closer, he can look to issue a strong challenge here.

MY CHINA DOLL (6) will take benefit from her debut outing when forced to work in the run from the widest gate. Despite the tricky gate again this time, she can be working home into the money.

THIS ONES FOR YOU (3) is by A Rocknroll Dance and makes her debut for the Jack Butler stable. With a pair of nice trials in readiness to start her career, she has shown that she has the ability to feature 1st up.

SELECTIONS: OUTA THE BLUE (7), STOKER ACE (1), MY CHINA DOLL (6), THIS ONES FOR YOU (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

PRESLEYBEGOOD (1) returned from a break in fine fettle when overcoming gate 9 at Redcliffe to arrive for the prize. Faced with tough draws throughout her career, she lands the important ace at her 1st attempt in a mares qualifier and with the benefits that brings, she can capitalise in this.

JOANNIES GIRL (8) has won 2 of her past 4 outings the latest at Redcliffe over the 2040m 2 starts back when finding the front and dictating to claim a narrow victory. That was run with a powerful closing 800m and then last start she couldn’t find position and was forced to retreat. The soft run looks ideal.

GOALKICKER (5) was a Tamworth winner 5 starts back when showing early speed and claiming the prize. Placed at her past 3 in succession in similar races to this, she will be around the money again.

TORI MAY (10) wasn’t suited last start from gate 7 when snagging back to look for position. Hitting the line strongly from gate 11 over the mile 2 starts back to grab the silver, she can chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: PRESLEYBEGOOD (1), JOANNIES GIRL (8), GOALKICKER (5), TORI MAY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: PRESLEYBEGOOD (1) to win
