RACE TWO

This race name recognises the deeds of WEASEL (4) who line up for his 200th start here on the triangle. A win would be a nice touch, but he might just find this field a touch out of reach.

CALL ME TRISH (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried in the run and searching for space that never really arrived. Sound to the line when only 7m in arrears of the winner, she will be better suited here with outside space available to make her challenge.

MALIBU DREAM (1) will be further tightened from her latest appearance after 4 runs back from a break. Closing in good order last start to be 8m from the winner, she will have the peg-line benefits here and with the right run in transit can be asking some questions.

MONTANA EXPRESS (10) has been runner-up at his past 3 in succession, the latest when charging home to get within a neck of the prize. He will be working at some point but looms as a danger.

WILLSINTOWN (7) started from this same gate last start and was searching for the space when 5m from the winner. He will be in search of some luck again and can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TRISH (9), MALIBU DREAM (1), MONTANA EXPRESS (10), WILLSINTOWN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TRISH (9) to win

RACE THREE

ARK PATROL (4) went around in a 2nd division qualifier on Sat night at headquarters over the 2138m. Sent to the breeze, he rolled the sleeves and only faded in the closing stages when 8m from the winner. Back to this grade at the mile, he gets his chance to cash-in for his 2nd win of the season.

MAGOOGAN (6) might have some ordinary numbers next to his name, but he should appreciate taking on this class of contest. Last time out over the 2138m he eased back from gate 6 and was always facing a task with the power at the front. Despite the tough gate, he is right in the fight.

KAANAPALI (2) has faced some tough gates in recent starts and with good early speed looks to get his chance to fire the 1st shot. Chasing from back in the pack in recent starts, he can be sharper.

WAVEDANCER (7) has placed his past 2 outings with both coming from the 2nd line and not beaten far in each. He will need some luck here but probing for the gaps can be chiming into the money.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (4), MAGOOGAN (6), KAANAPALI (2), WAVEDANCER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK PATROL (4) to win

RACE FOUR

PURE CHARISMA (8)
started from gate 9 last start and when looking to offer just didn’t get the run in time and could have been closer with a clearer passage. The start prior in a mares qualifier she found it a bit too slick late, but with the right trip this time, she can look to atone.

ZARAS HEAVEN (1) was away from the inside early last start and worked in the run when holding on for the silver behind SUGARKANE. This is a slightly tougher assignment but with the gate advantage in her favour, she can use her early speed and will get a chance to dictate here.

SPECIAL RESERVE (9) was weaving a passage last start looking for space when 3m from the winner BEACH GODDESS. Fitter for the outing after a one-month freshen, look for her chiming in.

ANNAS BEST (7) led them up last start and after an easy opening half looked to bring it home when grabbed late to be a half-head away. With the easy trip here, she is one for the exotics.

SELECTIONS: PURE CHARISMA (8), ZARAS HEAVEN (1), SPECIAL RESERVE (9), ANNAS BEST (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PURE CHARISMA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

A tough race to close out the UTAB Quaddie with a number of chances. Despite the gate MISTER DECORUM (5) might just appreciate an easier line-up after fading last start. Sent to the breeze over the AP 2138m, he found it too steep. A winner from this gate 5 runs back, he is up to this.

IAM THE JOKER (3) took up the lamp lighting duties last start over this trip and allowed to dictate the tempo had just enough in the tank to see it out in landing the prize by a half-head. Developing a handy record here on the triangle with 3 wins and 3 seconds in 7 attempts, he won’t be far away.

HESLUVABLE (6) found the running line from the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the right trip had too much to offer in cruising to an 8m victory. Luckless last start, he can chime in late here.

ANDREW JAY (2) took them all the way here 3 starts back over the sprint trip, keeping the tempo on to claim an 11m victory. Off the 2nd line in both starts since, the return to the front is a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DECORUM (5), IAM THE JOKER (3), HESLUVABLE (6), ANDREW JAY (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (9) will take good benefit from her return to the track last start to kick-off her 4YO term. From the 2nd line she settled back in the field and worked home wide off the track to finish mid-field. She looked a good hope last week until being scratched and with that only a minor concern can arrive against these.

GIVE ME FIFTY (2) doesn’t land a gate that often and from here, gets his chance to settle much closer to the speed. Last start at Marburg he was attacking the line strongly from back in the pack to get within 2m of the winner. From the improved gate he can throw down a challenge.

WHATA STRIDE (10) was stuck looking for position last start and was eased back to find the running and thereafter was too far back to get into the contest. A tidy winner the start prior, she can chime in here.

BERTILS DELIGHT (3) started from gate 9 here last start and was sound to the line to grab 4th when 11m away from the winner. Moving to the front line, she can settle closer to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (9), GIVE ME FIFTY (2), WHATA STRIDE (10), BERTILS DELIGHT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

FORTES IN FIDES (3) has found some nice form, running in the quinella numbers his past 3 in succession. His run 3 starts back was a big effort when no early position was available and snagging back, he charged home late. A winner 2 starts back when dictating, he gets his chance here.

MISSINMEMATE (1) features in a stable switch and will line up for Jack Butler for the 1st time here where he will be 2nd up from a spell. Leading them up when returning, he went too hard over the 2040m and with the peg-line benefits on offer again, he stays under notice.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (4) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here at this trip. Attacking the line strongly from the rear for a smart victory, look for her swooping again here.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7) took them all the way here 3 starts back, cruising home to an easy win. Luckless last start when snagging back, he will get an easy trip here and can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: FORTES IN FIDES (3), MISSINMEMATE (1), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (4), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-7

RACE EIGHT

THATS BETTOR (8) will be 3rd up from a break and after meeting much tougher opponents in her 2 runs since resuming, gets in here nicely on the class drop. Only 5m away when 1st up after snagging back early from gate 6 over the AP mile, she is 2 from 2 on the triangle and can make it a threepeat.

ARTFUL JINKS (6) has been to the track 4 times since joining the Rob Gorman yard, the latest when banished to the trials after never looking comfortable. In those 2 trials he looks to have turned it all around, including running a sub 1.54 mile at AP. Despite the tough gate, he is under a big watch.

KAY NORA SHANNON (5) has been the bridesmaid at her past 3 starts, the latest when closing nicely from the 2nd line to be 3m from the winner at Marburg. Grabbed in the closing stages here 2 starts back, she is in the mix.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (1) was much sharper last start when sent forward from the 2nd line to find the breeze and was fighting all the way to go under a half-head. With the early options, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: THATS BETTOR (8), ARTFUL JINKS (6), KAY NORA SHANNON (5), WILD ABOUT TOWN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS BETTOR (8) to win
