Racing Queensland confirms that QRIC officials have conducted an inspection of the racing surface at Warwick Turf Club in advance of its race meeting tomorrow, Tuesday 18 February.
The inspection was conducted following very heavy rainfall in the region within the last 7 days. Stewards have confirmed that whilst the track is currently rated a Heavy 10 and at this stage the race meeting will proceed, there are some concerns with areas of the surface, specifically in the home straight & after the winning post (in the pull-up area).
Accordingly, and with the promise of drying weather throughout today, a further track inspection will be conducted circa 6:15am on raceday.
