RACE TWO

Still searching for his first win this season, BEACH MAGIC (4) was asked to tackle far mor experienced rivals last start when finishing down the line. Two starts back he chased behind the smart CLASS TO THE MAX and three back it was BANGKOK DEEJAY. He finds the right conditions here to cash in.

JUDGE JUJON (5) was a winner here two starts back as a short price favourite when taking up the lamp lighting duties and from there was never in danger. Taking a big step out of maiden company at his next appearance when down the line behind A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE, back to this grade suits.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2) made the perfect start to his career when taking them all the way at Redcliffe back in early December when trained by Jarrod Alchin. First up here for Peter Greig, his trial form is a query.

VERY TEMPTING (1) has shown good progression as he has built into his career and last start at Redcliffe landed the maiden breaking victory. This is another step up but the gate aids the cause.

SELECTIONS: BEACH MAGIC (4), JUDGE JUJON (5), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2), VERY TEMPTING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH MAGIC (4) to win

RACE THREE

Finishing runner-up in both appearances since returning as a 3YO, AWAYWEGO (5) looks to have found his chance to open the 2022 account. Gunned down by BANGKOK DEEJAY two starts back, it was CLASS TO THE MAX that got him last start with a neck margin. Despite a potentially sticky alley, he looks the one to beat.

MISTERY ROAD (3) eased back in the early stages from a wide gate here last week before searching for the runs and using the passing lane when grabbing 3rd behind the star LEAP TO FAME, with CLASS TO MAX grabbing 2nd. In a second division qualifier the start prior, he can throw down the challenge.

JACCKA WALLY (4) was making his first Qld appearance last start when doing his share of work in the run to get forward and grind out a tough win over the mile. Fitter for that run, he can feature.

DATALDO (1) resumes from a spell after his last start victory in December when overcoming the second line at Redcliffe. It was a three-start campaign off a 12 month break with the gate a big help.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (5), MISTERY ROAD (3), JACCKA WALLY (4), DATALDO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Resuming from a spell with a gritty win three starts back MI FURIOSO TORO (9) quickly made it successive wins at his next start when pressing on from gate 5 and taking control before pulling clear to a big 13m margin. Bereft of luck on Friday when carted back through the pack after being hemmed away and a leader waving the white flag rendering the peg line runners out of busiess.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (2) will be better suited back to the mile after being run down in the closing stages last start over the 2138m trip after leading for much of the trip. Two back over the mile he led every step bar the one that counted when beaten a lip and can dig in for the fight here.

DANGERZONE (8) resumes to kick off his 3YO term after a 2YO season that returned 3 from 6 including feature success in the Breeders Classic. Looking sharp at the trials, he looks in danger of being buried.

DANCE IN THE SUN (6) has started from inside the second line at her past two starts and been buried away on each occasion. Striking trouble three starts back, an improved effort would not surprise.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (9), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (2), DANGERZONE (8), DANCE IN THE SUN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (9) to win

RACE FIVE

SLIDE TO UNLOCK (3) eased from gate 6 here last week and was deep in the pack throughout. Trying to weave a passage up the stretch, she went to the line full of running trying to find gaps that did not eventuate yet was still jut 2m in arrears. Game when forced to race parked the start prior, she can press on to stroll through.

CATCH PHRASE (2) has been a model of consistency this season, missing the money just once in her six appearances. That miss came in a mare’s qualifier with added stakes where she was buried in the run before closing in nice order to be 6m from the winner PIPPA MAGUIRE. She can be close enough to feature.

GOLDEN SAND (5) was locked in traffic here two starts back and went to the line untested in a blanket finish where he was just 3m from the winner. Too gritty when parked and scoring over the 2138m last start, he can roll forward to feature.

CALVERT HOT SHOT (4) is a last start winner where he worked home strongly in the closing stages to take the prize. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

SELECTIONS: SLIDE TO UNLOCK (3), CATCH PHRASE (2), GOLDEN SAND (5), CALVERT HOT SHOT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SLIDE TO UNLOCK (3) to win

RACE SIX

Trialling in smart fashion in readiness for his first appearance since leaving NZ, AMERICAN OUTLAW (10) has faced inside second line barriers both times he has lined up here at The Creek. Buried last start, he was making some closing metres for 3rd and with the chance to find open air, he can win the shootout.

BE MY ROCK (12) was first up in Qld last week when easing from gate 7 to settle near the rear. Leading a three-wide line from the 600m, he was making nice ground down the back in a 27.9 panel and was strong to the line for the silver. Given no favours again, some tempo will aid his challenging chances.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1) was a winner three starts back when taking them all the way over the mile to claim a 2m margin. Beaten by gate 7 last start after retreating, he has the options to make a play.

CALL ME KEITH (7) was shuffled back in the wash up at the 500m last start in a strong qualifier, before finding the space and hitting the line smartly for 3rd to SOHO SINATRA. Game when parked after a 26 flat opening panel the star prior, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: AMERICAN OUTLAW (10), BE MY ROCK (12), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1), CALL ME KEITH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: AMERICAN OUTLAW (10) to win
