RACE TWO

MISTY CREEK (4)
has been kept fresh since his last appearance when striking trouble from a 2nd line alley and finishing 10m from the winner as a red figure fav. Asked to do a mountain of work the start prior when haranguing the leader, he can look to start his 3YO campaign in perfect order.

TEE RAVELLING (3) is shooting for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins here at the Peninsula over this trip. Resuming from a long spell to win first up from the 2nd line, he was then too strong when sitting parked and fighting them off last time. From this alley he can throw down a challenge.

OUR BOY BOBBY (1) should take benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell and was buried in the run after easing at release. Not overly quick off the arm, a soft trip looks available.

LEXYS GOT A REASON (5) was first up in Qld last start when sent forward from the 2nd line to sit parked and was able to grind out the victory. This is tougher but he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (4), TEE RAVELLING (3), OUR BOY BOBBY (1), LEXYS GOT A REASON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTY CREEK (4) to win

RACE THREE

REGRETABLE (8)
has been in super touch and completed a hat-trick of victories last start to have a perfect 3 from 3 start to the year. Settling in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line, she had the closing power to arrive. She looks set to get the trip to descend on them once again.

JAYDES TERROR (6) is first up in Qld for Chantal Turpin and arrives with a win 2 starts back at Mildura when charging home in the closing stages to score. A scratching from last Wednesday night, she has some early tricks but finds the right race to challenge and stays under watch.

BERTILS FIREFOX (4) was a winner here 2 starts back when finding the front from gate 3. Not suited off the 2nd line last start by the flying KOOKABURRAPRINCESS, he has podium claims.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1) led them up last start from this same gate looking for an all the way win but was collared late by REGRETABLE. From the gate she will be fighting again.

SELECTIONS: REGRETABLE (8), JAYDES TERROR (6), BERTILS FIREFOX (4), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: REGRETABLE (8) to win

RACE FOUR

TURN TURN FLYER (7)
was trying to join in wide out last start, and it did not quite go to plan when down the line as the race favourite. Asked to grind it out when parked 2 starts back, he maps for the cosy trip in behind the speed and will be searching for the lane to make the closing play.

MOLLIDOR (1) started from the three-hole last week and after taking an early shot then held the 1x1 trail. Launching a closing raid, she loomed up and looked set to claim her first Qld victory, only for DARBY BRIGHTS to nail her on the line. From this gate comes the options.

DARBY BRIGHTS (8) was soon hemmed away 3 back along the poles here last start and when the gap arrived, sprinted sharply to claim victory. With a similar trip, she can be chiming in.

VERMONT (9) grabbed the bronze last start when taking the trail from gate 1 and finishing within 5m of the winner. She can be chiming in over the concluding stages.

SELECTIONS: TURN TURN FLYER (7), MOLLIDOR (1), DARBY BRIGHTS (8), VERMONT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Fence play exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE FIVE

MULLUM DOC (9) was runner-up from gate 5 to MULLUM GUIDO here 3 starts back after rolling forward early. That form was franked at his next appearance when taking control and fighting them off to open his win account. Despite the 2nd line, the tempo should suit him to swoop.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3) was on a forward arch from gate 6 over the AP mile last start when striking trouble before resetting to settle in the running line. Holding on for the bronze, it followed a 2nd placing when wide off the track. Resuming from a freshen, she can get forward to challenge.

BEJIGGITY (6) is yet to miss the board in 4 career starts and last time out was too classy for her rivals when finishing over the top to break the maiden status. Just a half-neck away 2 starts back, the gate stings.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (4) has been super consistent with a placing at her past 5 in succession, the latest when runner-up and only beaten an eyelash. From the gate she can be thereabouts once more.

SELECTIONS: MULLUM DOC (9), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3), BEJIGGITY (6), IM A CLASSY GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM DOC (9) to win

RACE SIX

WHATELEY (6)
produced back-to-back wins over 2 days last week, franking his Thursday win here on The Triangle with a win at The Creek on Friday. The AP victory came via the passing lane when owning the best closing speed and despite the wide gate, he can look for the threepeat.

BETTING BARON (5) settled in the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line when launching a stretch drive to get within a neck of the winner. 3rd from this same gate after sitting parked 2 starts back, he can look to get forward to throw it down.

LEFT IN THE WIND (4) features in a stable switch to join the Graham Dwyer barn that has a sharp first up strike rate. Last seen in early December when snagged back from this same alley, she stays under watch.

MELTON INSULTED (1) placed from gate 6 here 4 starts back and should secure the right trip from this alley to bob up in the money.

SELECTIONS: WHATELEY (6), BETTING BARON (5), LEFT IN THE WIND (4), MELTON INSULTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATELEY (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

TULHURST LOVER (1)
rarely lands a marble and should relish the opportunity to start from the pole here. Eased from gate 5 last start when resuming from a six-week gap between starts, she was sound to the line. A winner here 3 starts back when wide off the track, she can capitalise.

BARBOO (7) has been around the money in recent outings with a minor in 4 of his past 5 appearances. Starting in red figures from the pole last time out, he was crossed early and from the trail held on for the bronze. Grabbed in the last strides 2 starts back, he can be probing to challenge.

BATTLECRAFT (9) took them all the way here 4 starts back after finding the front from gate 3 and claiming a 2m margin. A beaten fav in 3 starts since the victory, he can chime into the minor money.

STUDLEIGH WILL (2) pressed on from the 2nd line last start to sit outside the leader last start and was able to graft out a 2nd placing, 11m in arrears of the winner. He can fire some early bullets.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST LOVER (1), BARBOO (7), BATTLECRAFT (9), STUDLEIGH WILL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TULHURST LOVER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SMOOTH CASH (2)
was making his first appearance in Qld last time out when slammed with the outside front line gate. Making a sustained run wide off the track, he through it down to get within a flared nostril of the victory. Fitter and with the improved gate, he can open the Qld account.

BLAZE COOPS (8) was well-supported to start fav here last start from gate 5 and was wide on the track before making an error in the run and ending her night. The favouritism came from her first up run in Qld where she was strong to the line in the closing stages here behind the in-form GASMONKEY.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (1) settled in the running line from gate 3 last start but could not eat into the deficit. Runner-up via the passing lane here 3 starts back, he will enjoy the cosy trip.

KATACHA MAN (5) faces the tricky gate but should appreciate the return to Thursday grade after tackling Saturday night company at his past 2. An all the way winner here 3 starts back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH CASH (2), BLAZE COOPS (8), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (1), KATACHA MAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH CASH (2) to win

RACE NINE

SPEED OF SOUND (3)
returned from a Tamworth campaign to face gate 6 here last start. Sent forward to sit parked, she packed too much heat for the opponents to land a first over victory, posting a 5m margin. A three-time winner here at The Triangle, she looks hard to stop.

SOMEGIRLSOMEHWERE (4) will take added benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Resuming when midfield in a strong AP 2138m event, she powered over the top here last start from the 2nd line to claim a 3m victory. Back to the front line, she will be throwing it down.

MISSTREPO (9) was not suited last start when tackling the AP 2138m trip and faded over the latter stages. Runner-up over that same trip 2 starts back, a return to the sprint trip looks favourable.

LARA BAY (1) started from this same alley last start when looking to take them all the way but was unable to see it out when holding on for the bronze. From the gate she will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: SPEED OF SOUND (3), SOMEGIRLSOMEHWERE (4), MISSTREPO (9), LARA BAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEED OF SOUND (3) to win
