Racing Queensland advises that the Kilcoy Race Club race meeting on Tuesday, March 1, has been transferred to the Sunshine Turf Club Polytrack.

The Kilcoy track has been deemed by officials as unsuitable for racing on following a track inspection, with there being no likelihood of it improving to a safe standard for racing on, irrespective of the weather which prevails over the next 3-4 days.

The transfer of the meeting has necessitated changes to all of the race distances on the program. They are:

  • Race 1 and 2  – were 1500m, are now 1400m;
  • Race 3 – was 1900m, is now 2000m; and
  • Races 4, 5, 6 and 7  – were 1200m, are now 1100m.

The transfer has also resulted in an adjustment to the starting limits for Races 3, 4 and 7.

Trainers should note that in accordance with RQ protocol (and wagering service operator requirements), any scratchings made prior to the race meeting being transferred are unable to be reinstated.

There will also be no fees applicable for scratchings made at the meeting, irrespective of the time they were transacted.

The updated race fields will be available this afternoon on the Racing Australia and RQ websites.

Participants with engagements at the race meeting have also been advised via SMS.
