RACE TWO

KEAYANG MARVEN (1) is going from strength to strength, lands a perfect gate over a suitable distance. Hard to beat.

OUR ROAD TO MECCA (2) travels north from NSW to contest this $21k Band 5 feature. She is a quality mare with the neat career record of 45: 10 | 10 | 4 the middle trip poses no concerns, she will be hustling for the front.

OHOKA CHOPPER (8) is low flying, winning 3 of his last 5 starts. Zac Chappenden takes the reins, look out if he finds clear air inside the last 300m.

THE ROCKNROLL KING (3) has a great record, he could easily take this race if luck was on his side.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (1), OUR ROAD TO MECCA (2), OHOKA CHOPPER (8), THE ROCKNROLL KING (3)

SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG MARVEN to win

RACE THREE

UNCLE SHANK (7) is an uber talented Warrawee Neddy 4YO entire. He has won 9 of his 11 starts over the Albion Park mile. Expect Leader Peter to put him on the front end by the bell.

HEMSWORTH (10) has the horrible draw to overcome here and will need some tempo to work into the event. He is however lightning fast, expect him to be flashing home late.

THE GENERAL (1) is racing with great zest at the moment, dominating over the 2100m at his last start. Another podium finish awaits if he can hold up early.

CAPTAINS PICK (4) saluted on Tuesday in 1.55.1 over the 2100m sitting leaders back, he has been in fine form this prep.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (7), HEMSWORTH (10), THE GENERAL (1), CAPTAINS PICK (4)

SUGGESTED BET:  UNCLE SHANK (7) to win

RACE FOUR

L L COOL J (6) is getting back to somewhere near his best form, with back to back wins in recent weeks. He will be sliding forward to race on pace in this event, trying to stay in front of his major rivals.

GOVERNOR JUJON (7) is low flying and now a legitimate open class force. His 1.54 flat 1780m Redcliffe win last start was completed in second gear. He has a sticky gate to deal with here.

SPEECH IS SILVER (5) returned to the track on Tuesday after a 4 week freshen up. He was beaten a head in a scorching 1.52.3 mile. His sit sprint style always makes life tough, however.

BLACKSADANCE (9) is resuming off a 4 week freshen up, he will be hitting the line hard.

SELECTIONS: L L COOL J (6), GOVERNOR JUJON (7), SPEECH IS SILVER (5) BLACKSADANCE (9)

SUGGESTED BET:  EXOTICS 5, 6 & 7

RACE FIVE

THE IRISH EAGLE (2) has shown glimpses in recent time that he is near a win. Sitting parked last start he went close to causing the boilover at a decent price.

JUDDY DOUIGLAS (5) has not been seen for the better part of 2 months, at his best he can stomp out 1.53 miles on the front end. His last 4 starts however, have been well below that level. He looks the most logical leader if stamped urgent.

MISTERY ROAD (6) appears to be tasked with doing all the heavy lifting here if he is to get into the fight early. Breezing awaits this talented NSW visitor most likely.

SHADOW MINISTER (2) was below his usual consistent self last time out, perhaps back to the mile trip will see him improve sharply.

SELECTIONS: THE IRISH EAGLE (2), JUDDY DOUIGLAS (5), MISTERY ROAD (6), SHADOW MINISTER (2)

SUGGESTED BET: THE IRISH EAGLE each way

Slide5-2.JPG

RACE SIX

MAJOR FERNCO (3) was having his first start for 3 weeks when beaten 11.7m behind GOVERNOR JUJON last week. He will have taken plenty of benefit and will give this race a shake with even luck.

SQUIRE (9) has been racing in good heart his last 4 starts, expect him to make a mid-race move to the chair and inject some pace into the race.

JONAH JONES (8) looks to follow the marker line home here, with even luck this gelding will be in the finish.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (1) bounced back into the winners stall 3 starts ago in a 1.55.6 2138m victory, he may run a bold race out in front tonight.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR FERNCO (3), SQUIRE (9), JONAH JONES (8), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (1)

SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR FERNCO to win

Slide6-2.JPG

RACE SEVEN

VOODOO LOU (1) has performed exceptionally well at her 2 starts this preparation, she has been forced to work hard in the breeze both times. She can look to take this race from the front end.

FOND MEMORIES (8) is first up for a month with no trial, she draws to be very dangerous stalking the leader.

SPIRITED BELLE (4) completed the Queensland hattrick of victories last start, she may make play for the top early.

SHES KOALA TEE (2) is a sit sprint type that could easily find herself running top 4.

SELECTIONS: VOODOO LOU (1), FOND MEMORIES (8), SPIRITED BELLE (4) SHES KOALA TEE (2)

SUGGESTED BET: VOODOO LOU (1) to win

Slide7-2.JPG

RACE EIGHT

MAGGIE (1) is screaming out to break through for another win, with the good gate she may have found her race.

BLUE IVY (6) has delivered two big 1.57 short course victories at Redcliffe in succession, she will be launched early looking cross to the top and roll along.

SWEET JEMMA (8) has been a shade disappointing at her past 2 starts, with the soft draw she can run an improved race.

SMOKE MY MOTOR (2) is a newcomer to the Ricky Thurlow barn, she has solid career numbers so far.

SELECTIONS: MAGGIE (1), BLUE IVY (6), SWEET JEMMA (8), SMOKE MY MOTOR (2)

SUGGESTED BET:  MAGGIE (1) to win

Slide8-2.JPG

RACE NINE

MISDEMEANOR (2) is a 5YO mare that joins the Ricky Thurlow camp, she has the outstanding record of 36: 11 | 3 | 2 to her name. Equipped with very good gate speed she has options a plenty, hardest to beat.

ITS ALL ABOUT ALICE (5) has been racing in tough grade back home in NSW, this will be more to her liking. She is a get back run on customer.

GOALKICKER (10) has been going exceptionally well of late, finishing top 3 in 8 of her last 9 starts. The barrier really hurts.

JEWEL OF PEAK (4) is a high gate speed mare who loves to lead in her races, to be a winning hope she must find the marker line.

SELECTIONS: MISDEMEANOR (2), ITS ALL ABOUT ALICE (5), GOALKICKER (10), JEWEL OF PEAK (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MISDEMEANOR to win

Slide9-1.JPG

RACE TEN

GARLAND GREENE (6) steps like a gazelle, the drop back in trip to 2138m is ideal. He can find his way to the front and prevail.

DOUG (7) has won his last 4 starts in stylish manner, he again is the testing material. The extra 5m in handicap and the drop back in distance makes things a little harder.

JUSTABITNOISY (2) loves being off the front in 2138m stand start races, he can run a cheeky race and fill a place.

MELPARK MAGIC (1) is never far from the action.

SELECTIONS: GARLAND GREENE (6), DOUG (7), JUSTABITNOISY (2), MELPARK MAGIC (1)

SUGGESTED BET:  GARLAND GREENE to win
