RACE TWO

IFYOUBELIEVE (2) has been uber-consistent this season with a top-3 in 11 of 14 outings. Taking the trail from the ace last start over the sprint trip, he chased gamely for the bronze behind the smart WITH THE BAND. Placed his past 4 here at The Creek, he can fire out and look to pinch it.

WHATA REACTOR (4) pressed forward to take control last start over the mile in running a new career benchmark 1.56.2. That followed an off-day where she faded badly at Redcliffe after taking them all the way 3 starts back. Settling in a forward position, she can be thereabouts.

WHITEHAVEN LASS (7) was a winner here 2 starts back when rolling to the front from gate 4 and controlling the speed to an easy 7m victory. Tough in the breeze last start, she has podium claims.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1) raced tough last start from gate 6 when sent to the breeze and was fighting on to be thereabouts. With the soft trip on offer, he can chime into the exotics again.

SELECTIONS: IFYOUBELIEVE (2), WHATA REACTOR (4), WHITEHAVEN LASS (7), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE THREE

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (1) finally found conditions to suit this campaign after a rough run of barriers when landing this gate over this trip. Taking cover, the easy trip paid dividends when sprinting clear to an easy 6m victory. Placed in both runs since, he has the options to capitalise against these.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (5) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up back in Qld. From gate 6 when returning, he struck trouble and wasn’t entirely comfortable when down the track. Sharper last start when hitting the line nicely, he can be in the fight here.

COBBLER LANE (4) has been runner-up in 3 of his 4 starts since resuming from a spell. Using the passing lane last start to get within 1m of the winner, he can do some work and has claims here.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2) was a smart winner over the sprint trip at his Aus debut when working forward in the middle stages from gate 12. Buried behind a wall of horses last start, he can bounce back.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (1), LUCKY UNLUCKY (5), COBBLER LANE (4), DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (1) to win

RACE FOUR

INNOCENT CROCKER (2)
had been building towards a victory after some smart efforts including a luckless 4th over the sprint 2 starts back when stuck in traffic. Franking that with a shared victory in mares company last time out, she can settle handy here and be ready to make the closing shot a winner.

BEAVER (4) might have some ordinary numbers next to his name from the 3 runs this prep but hasn’t been far away. A slick last 800m in the breeze cost him 2 starts back and back to the front line to utilise his early speed after landing gate 9 last time, he will be in this up to his teeth.

THE SPACE INVADER (7) shared victory with BIG BANG LEONARD 3 starts back when closing out in good order. Strong late again last start, he can ease back early and be charging in the stretch.

GOTTA MOMENT (1) returns from a 2 start Tamworth attack where he was working home strongly in a Golden Guitar heat to grab 3rd. The inside is not his best play, but angled clear can chime in.

SELECTIONS: INNOCENT CROCKER (2), BEAVER (4), THE SPACE INVADER (7), GOTTA MOMENT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: INNOCENT CROCKER (2) to win

RACE FIVE

WITH THE BAND (3) is undefeated in 2 starts sin arriving in Aus with Donny Smith and from another good gate has things in her favour. Rolling forward wide out from the 2nd line last start, she was a stylish winner after covering plenty of the oval in a sharp sub 55 last 800m. A threepeat is on.

LEFT A TERROR (1) has been kept fresh since his last outing back on Dec 10 when mid-field behind the in-form TORI MAY. Not suited from 2nd line gates at his 2 runs prior to that, he can make the most of the improved marble here and with the peg-line benefits can be sharper in this.

MAJOR LUCKY (7) has been in good touch since joining the Gorman barn and lined up on Sat night in a qualifier searching for a hat-trick. Nabbed late after leading, the gate hurts here, but he has claims.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) didn’t have much go his way last start when rolling forward looking for position before restraining with nothing on offer. With a soft trip he can probe for space here.

SELECTIONS: WITH THE BAND (3), LEFT A TERROR (1), MAJOR LUCKY (7), NEWPORT DREAMZ (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH THE BAND (3) to win

RACE SIX

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1) has been to the track 4 times this campaign since returning for his 3YO season. Last start was a tidy effort under the circumstances when covering plenty of ground when wide out. Not entirely suited at 2138m the start prior, he can get a perfect trip and be coiled and ready for the snipers shot.

DATALDO (6) has been runner-up in both starts since returning, the latest a game effort. Doing all the work in the breeze, he was digging in and never backed away in a sub 1.53 mile when only 2m from the winner. He might need to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff again, but is up to it.

A RAINBOW DELIGHT (9) returns to start her 3YO season after a 2YO term that netted 2 wins and 4 minors in 8 attempts. Placed in the NSW Breeders Final 2 starts back and trialling nicely, she is in the mix.

HEADWIN (2) rolled to the front from gate 3 last start and setting the tempo was fighting hard to the line when only beaten a head. With the speed to lead, he will be trying to swat them in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1), DATALDO (6), A RAINBOW DELIGHT (9), HEADWIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

KETUT (1) started from the 2nd line last start and found them a bit out of reach yet wasn’t too far from the winner BALLERINA COURU. Chasing hard the start prior behind BIG BANG LEONARD, he will appreciate the return to mid-week claiming company. He can make the closing shot a winner.

COMPLY OR DIE (3) tried to take them all the way over the 2138m last start, a trip he has always found tougher than his bread and butter mile. Winning his 25th race here at The Creek when dictating over the mile 2 starts back, he can hustle hard off the arm and will be gripping on.

DIVAS DELIGHT (9) settled in the running line over the 2138m last start and with the sitting drop went on by to take a 3m victory last start. If the speed is too hot early, he can arrive again in this.

INTRANSIT (10) would have been closer with a little more space over this trip 2 starts back. Last start over the middle trip he found the line nicely for the silver and can chime in late once again.

SELECTIONS: KETUT (1), COMPLY OR DIE (3), DIVAS DELIGHT (9), INTRANSIT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: KETUT (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

CHAPTER ONE (4) had an early shot last start from this gate in Sat night company but didn’t quite have the early motor to find the poles. Settling 1x1 in the run, he was then buried in transit to be untested when 7m from OUR MAJOR DAY. Stoked up to take control, he is at his best in front.

SOME EXCUSE SOMEWHERE (10) took up the lamp lighting duties last start from gate 4, coming at a cost of a 27.3 opening 400m backed up with a 27.6 sec 3rd split. That left the artillery cupboard bare for the stretch and he was swamped. Fitter again after 2 runs back, he can charge home here.

MAJOR CURRENCY (1) eased back from gate 6 last start and from a long way back was hitting the line in nice style to be within 8m of the winner. With a cosy run here, he can be sniping in the stretch.

SIR JULIAN (9) can be forgiven for his past 2 outings where he drew inside the 2nd line at Tamworth. Keen when locked away in their Cup, he can get a better trip here and be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: CHAPTER ONE (4), SOME EXCUSE SOMEWHERE (10), MAJOR CURRENCY (1), SIR JULIAN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHAPTER ONE (4) to win
