RACE TWO

JUSTA DALE (1) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and was looking for gaps to make a late offering. Eased back from gate 6 over the AP sprint trip the start prior, he was too far back when the sprint went on. This looks a suitable target and with the good gate can look to capitalise.

SIGNORINA JUJON (3) took on a Rising Stars heat last start when landing gate 5 and easing back early. That left her facing a task as not much from the rear made an impact as TIZ A SIZZLER took the prize. Fitter for the run after being 1st up from a break, she looks better suited here.

RAGING INFERNO (5) landed gate 6 last start over the sprint trip and was wide early looking for position. Only 8m away at the finish, he can be around the mark again despite the tough gate.

JOANNIES GIRL (4) lost the win on protest 2 starts back after pressing ahead to look for the front over the 2040m. Fading late last start in a stronger race than she meets here, look for a bounce back.

SELECTIONS: JUSTA DALE (1), SIGNORINA JUJON (3), RAGING INFERNO (5), JOANNIES GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTA DALE (1) to win

RACE THREE

AROONA (2) hasn’t been too far away of late and last start returned a nice effort under the circumstances to be only 4m from the winner. The start prior he was attacking the line with gusto to get within a flared nostril of the in-form MAJOR LUCKY. From this gate, this is well within reach.

READILY (9) was back in the pack from this gate last start and was trying to make late ground when mid-field. Runner-up at his previous 2 starts including a half-head margin when closing out strongly, he will need some factors in his favour here but can be making a late challenge.

ANDREW JAY (8) was a winner over the sprint trip here 2 starts back when finding the right conditions and leading throughout. Working too hard last start, he can trail through and has claims.

WEASEL (1) was sharper last start when tough in the breeze and fighting hard to grab the silver when only beaten a head. With the inside advantage, he can get the right trip to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: AROONA (2), READILY (9), ANDREW JAY (8), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AROONA (2) to win

RACE FOUR

LIFES BLACK (3)
will strip fitter following his return to the track last start for his 1st start as a 4YO. His 3YO term was shut down after an impressive stand start victory and was given a pair of nice trials in readiness for his return. Fighting gamely from gate 6 when within 1.5m, he can go one better here.

STORMONT STAR (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last start from a 2nd line gate when chasing hard to grab the bronze over the AP 2138m when 6m off the winner. Only 4m away over the sprint trip here 2 starts back, he has the early options and with the easy trip can be ready for a closing shot.

JUST ROKIN (6) has found some Redcliffe mojo with wins in 3 of her past 4 starts and a 2nd in the other. Too strong last start once finding the front, she can roll forward again and is right in the fight.

ALE ALE KAI (7) backs up from a mares qualifier on Sat night where she was strong to the line in snaring a smart victory. A winner over this trip 2 starts back after securing a nice ride in transit, she will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: LIFES BLACK (3), STORMONT STAR (1), JUST ROKIN (6), ALE ALE KAI (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFES BLACK (3) to win

RACE FIVE

This looms as an open contest with some differing form converging. With the benefit of the ace gate, DOOLITTLE DANDY (1) can look to stoke up to settle closer to the action after slow to muster last start. A beaten fav on that occasion, he gets his chance to search for atonement.

MHAI UPTOWN GIRL (5) started fav here 2 starts back over the sprint trip from gate 6. Eased back early she was working into the race in nice order to grab the bronze in a blanket finish, only beaten a head. Moving one position closer here is a big plus and she can throw down the challenge.

REDBANK RENDEVOUS (3) found the front here 2 starts back and was setting the tempo in front when grabbed in the closing stages. He moves to gate 6 here and that may have dented his hopes.

NIKALONG HENRY (10) made a mess of things 2 starts back earning the ODM tag as a result. Last start over the AP sprint, he was sound behind WHATA REACTOR and has claims against this line-up.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DANDY (1), MHAI UPTOWN GIRL (5), REDBANK RENDEVOUS (3), NIKALONG HENRY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SHERIFF JUJON (4) looks to get into this race nicely after taking on a qualifier at headquarters on Sat night. 2 starts back from gate 10 in a similar race he didn’t have any luck when looking for luck up the pegs. He found the line nicely and returning to the triangle he can pack too many guns.

OUR PEPPERJACK (1) didn’t have much go his way last start when wide off the track and forced to retreat for position. Only 6m in arrears the start prior, he will relish the improved gate and with the peg-line benefits can look to capitalise.

SPONDOOLEY (3) eased back from gate 5 last start and the closing tempo made it tough for the chasers. He can find the pegs cheaply here and be probing the inside, a trait he excels at.

BARA JAYLA (7) will strip fitter from her return to the track last time out. With a soft run on offer, she can save herself for a closing shot when the gaps appear to chime into the minors.

SELECTIONS: SHERIFF JUJON (4), OUR PEPPERJACK (1), SPONDOOLEY (3), BARA JAYLA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHERIFF JUJON (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

SOULWRITER (1) took on a tougher race last start from gate 3 over the AP 2138m, a trip that is not her ideal. Chasing gamely to be mid-field, it had followed a tough run in a mares qualifier when working wide in getting forward. Form the gate she can use her early speed and gets a chance.

BEACH GODDESS (6) makes her Qld debut for Ron Sallis and finds a suitable target 1st up. Tough in the breeze over the 1800m at Globe Derby 2 starts back, her run at Kilmore from a wide gate 3 back had merit. Despite the wide gate, she can look to make an immediate impact in the Sunshine State.

SPECIAL RESERVE (2) looked to take them all the way from gate 1 here 2 starts back when grabbed in the closing stages. Freshened since her last appearance, she won’t be far away in this.

GUPTAS CULLEN (4) landed the verdict in the stewards room 2 starts back when narrowly beaten on the track. Wide out last start from the 2nd line, she won’t be far away again in this.

SELECTIONS: SOULWRITER (1), BEACH GODDESS (6), SPECIAL RESERVE (2), GUPTAS CULLEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SOULWRITER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

OURS TO KEEP (7) will need some factors in her favour here but with the likelihood of seeing the gaps when needed, she can make the closing shot a winning one. Placed in 3 of her 4 career starts, she was strong in the breeze last start when 4m in arrears. With the soft trip, she can open her win account.

REAP THE REWARDS (1) will take great benefit and experience from his race debut last start when wide off the track. Sent to the post as fav from gate 8, he was wide and stuck to the task when 6m in arrears of the winner. With the gate advantage, he gets every chance to get on the board.

ELSIES GIRL (8) struck trouble in the run last start after looking to be in a handy position and fell to the track as a result. Grabbed late the start prior, she can look for the pegs and make a closing play.

TUESDAYS COURAGE (5) has been in nice touch since joining the Kendall barn and last start was able to break the maiden tag when making the most of the passing lane to score. Placed her previous 2, the wide gate hurts in this.

SELECTIONS: OURS TO KEEP (7), REAP THE REWARDS (1), ELSIES GIRL (8), TUESDAYS COURAGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OURS TO KEEP (7) to win
