RACE TWO

IDEAL WORLD (6) drops back to the Veterans ranks and after 6 starts since his last success looks to have found the conditions to bounce back. Buried in the run last start, he was searching for the gaps that did not open when 4.5m from STRADDIE. Only a neck away the start prior after leading every step bar the one that counted, he can put the power on here.

DAPPER (1) will appreciate the improved gate after being banished to the ODM for his past 2 outings. In a blanket finish last start, he was within 4m of the winner despite never seeing the space to make a challenge. Strong in the breeze the start prior, he has enough early hustle to protect early before having first look at the lane.

HANDSOME HERO (3) settled in the running line from gate 2 here last week and then when the moves came down the back, was bottled up and had nowhere to go. 4m from the winner without having an uninterrupted shot at them, he can feature in this.

SAM IS PERFECTION (8) retreated from gate 5 to find position last start over the 2138m trip and when looking to make a run, did not have the smoothest passage. Hitting the line strongly, he will be probing for an opening.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL WORLD (6), DAPPER (1), HANDSOME HERO (3), SAM IS PERFECTION (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL WORLD (6) to win

RACE THREE

STRADDIE (5)
has been in super form and last start completed a hat-trick of victories when proving too strong for them after moving up to face the breeze and hold on for the prize. A comfortable winner in front the start prior when cruising home over the 2138m trip, the gate stings but he looks to have the class edge.

MYMATEPOG (2) was asked to step up against the open class 2 starts back when landing gate 1 over this trip. Taking the trail, he was fighting at the line to share 3rd in a dead heat when 4m from the winner SECRETAGENT TYCOON. Closing strongly behind CHEVRONS REWARD the start prior, he can give this a shake.

HURRICANE ROY (3) was sent to the front last start over the mile but could not see it out, grabbed in the latter stages to finish with the bronze. Tackling the open ranks the start prior, he can settle handy to the action here to feature.

SO KOOL MASTER (1) looks set to get the prefect trip in behind the speed and will be ready to look for the passing lane in the closing stages. 2m from STRADDIE last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: STRADDIE (5), MYMATEPOG (2), HURRICANE ROY (3), SO KOOL MASTER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: STRADDIE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

LOMBO HEAVEN (1) has faced the starter twice in Qld and been required to come from the 2nd line on each occasion. A first up winner when powering over the top of them in the closing stages, the form has been strong out of that race with 4 subsequent winners in the beaten brigade. He will need to hustle early but looks to get his chance.

MACH LE MORE (8) made the most of the return to Thursday company when pressing ahead from a wide gate to take control and once in charge was never in danger. Buried in the run from inside the 2nd line at his next appearance, he charged home in the closing stages to grab the silver. With the cosy trip, he can be ready to make a closing challenge.

BOMB SUIT (9) has faced the starter on 4 occasions here at The Creek and been placed in all 4. From the 2nd line last time out, he was making some closing ground when holding the bronze. From the gate he is a podium chance.

BOHANNAN (4) has been thereabouts in recent outings, with placings at his past 4 in succession. Chasing hard from a 2nd line gate when 3m from RANGER BOMB last start, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: LOMBO HEAVEN (1), BOMB SUIT (9), MACH LE MORE (8), BOHANNAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MISTER DONALD (9)
pounced on the lead last start over the 2138m and once in control did it easily with 3m up his sleeve after scooting home a smart closing 800m panel. 2m from the flying CHEVRONS REWARD the start prior, he landed a strong win from the breeze here 3 starts back and can overcome the gate to arrive.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (2) seems to have had plenty of chances to win of late, but he just cannot find a way to be in front when it counts. Setting the tempo last start over the mile, he was grabbed in the closing stages by STRADDIE. Runner-up the start prior to LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN from the trail, he was game from the breeze when beaten by a head 3 runs back. Will this be his opportunity?

ALWAYS A SECRET (6) held the 1x1 position in transit last start when chasing gamely to be 3m from the winner FRANCO LANDRY. A strong winner in front the start prior, the gate stings but he can join in.

FIRE AND ICE (1) has landed the silver at his past 3 in succession, the latest here on Tuesday over this trip from this gate when chasing NIMAH FRANCO. Despite the rise in class, the cosy trip gives him podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DONALD (9), TACTICAL RESPONSE (2), ALWAYS A SECRET (6), FIRE AND ICE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

MATTGREGOR (1)
has faced the starter twice since returning from a break after a frustrating extended season. His past 2 runs have been from the 2nd line and overall last season was closer than gate 4 once- when leading all the way from gate 1 which was also his last victory in the Be Good Johnny Sprint in December 2019. With a super record from the front, it looks his to lose.

MAJOR CAM (6) will take further benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break and holding on for the silver behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER. Chasing gamely to be 4m in arrears it followed a luckless return when making up plenty of ground but never getting a sustained clear passage. The gate stings but he will be there to challenge.

CHEVRONS REWARD (8) stepped up to the FFA ranks with a great 3rd here last week when her individual closing splits were sub 54 and sub 27 for the last 800/400 combo. With the economical trip she can be ready to offer.

LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (3) has been a revelation since joining the Cross stable with 5 successive wins, 3 of those here at The Creek. This is a step up from taking on Band 5 company last start to open class here, but it looks the ideal steppingstone to progress.

SELECTIONS: MATTGREGOR (1), MAJOR CAM (6), CHEVRONS REWARD (8), LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MATTGREGOR (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

TUAPEKA LIGHT (8) is an honest mare that is never far from the action and has a great record when saved for the closing shot. Eased from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start, she secured the right cart into the race and had the finishing power to score. Likely to get a perfect trip, she can be coiled and ready to take the snipers shot.

JIGGLE AND JIVE (1) has managed to graft out a handy record but has probably not reached the heights that were looking likely earlier in her career. Bad gates have had some impact on that and with the big win in landing the one alley, gets her chance to score a long overdue win. Placed her past 3 starts, she will be tough to stop.

FEEL LIKE DANCIN (9) made the most of gate 1 here last week to take them all the way in scoring a 2m victory. Bad gates had stung her chances in recent outings and with the chance the pegs are the place to play, she can join in.

LISA LINCOLN (10) was a winner here 5 runs back when landing the pocket trail and then arriving up the passing lane. Runner-up at her past 2 appearances, she can be looking to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (8), JIGGLE AND JIVE (1), FEEL LIKE DANCIN (9), LISA LINCOLN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-10

RACE EIGHT

Some big speed players on the front line here should see the lead keenly contested. Looking to LA PLAYER (6) who will not be in that early battle make the most of conditions. His best form has been shown at Redcliffe, his past 3 there strong including a 2nd to FRANCO LANDRY in the Christmas Cup. Staying out of the early battle can see him attack late.

NOTORIOUS (1) lands the options here and if the heat is dialled up might just look to back away. Successful with that pattern over this trip 4 starts back when taking the closing shot up the passing lane, he faded in the closing stages from the running line last start. The first 600 will decide his chances.

THE FORTUNATE SON (5) loves to free wheel from the front and has 3 strong mile victories against his name here- all when leading. Powering home last start in front, he will be out an attacking.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (8) is effective when saved for a closing shot and from this alley will be tucked in behind the action and ready to strike. 3m from NIMAH FRANCO here on Tues, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: LA PLAYER (6), NOTORIOUS (1), THE FORTUNATE SON (5), BEEF CITY BLAZE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LA PLAYER (6) to win

RACE NINE

SAUCY DREAMS (7)
tackles a mare only qualifier for the 1st time and despite landing the carpark, will be in for the fight. Gunned down in the closing stages last start as ROLL WITH ROCKY arrived, her run the start prior was full of merit when griding it out against the open mares and only 5m in arrears of NO WIN NO FEED. This looks hers to take.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (6) held the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last start when looking to complete a hat-trick of victories. Moving ever closer to a qualifying victory, she was trying to eat into the deficit as GEORGIE MARTIN pulled clear to score. The wide gate stings, but with a strong tempo she can make the closing play.

LOOKING FABULOUS (8) was scratchy at the start last time out and was back in the pack and chasing as a result. Working home soundly, she will have the 2nd line options here and can look to chime in late.

FROST EN ICE (5) was obliged to roll the sleeves to do it the tough way last start and despite being under pressure, stuck to the task when 6m from the winner SOHO TSUNAMI. Back to mares only is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: SAUCY DREAMS (7), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (6), LOOKING FABULOUS (8), FROST EN ICE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SAUCY DREAMS (7) to win

RACE TEN

GARLAND GREENE (8) will have the 2nd line options in the early stages here and over the 2138m will likely squeeze off to find the running line. A strong winner over the 2647m here 2 starts back when allowed to settle before making a powerful swoop to descend upon them, he can strike late again.

MONARO MIA (6) just cannot seem to get the stand start mastered at present and will appreciate the return to mobile conditions here. Too far back after making a meal of the start last week when fresh up, she was best of the chasers behind ARNOLD the start prior in grabbing 2nd. Despite the tough gate she can challenge.

NEEDABACARDI (3) has been hitting some nice areas of late with a top-3 at his past 4 in succession. In for the fight last week after forced to race first over, his mobile record is strong and if able to take up the lamp lighting duties, could prove tough to stop.

ORLANDO JOLT (1) settled a long way back from the 20m tape here on Tuesday before making some nice ground in the closing stages to grab the bronze. This is a big rise in grade, but the gate offsets his chances.

SELECTIONS: GARLAND GREENE (8), MONARO MIA (6), NEEDABACARDI (3), ORLANDO JOLT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GARLAND GREENE (8) to win
