RACE TWO

CLINTAL DO (10) is suddenly approaching 12 months without victory and although he faces a tough gate here, the pressure should be strong enough for him to descend upon them in the closing stages. 6m from ROCK WITH SAM last start at Redcliffe, he was attacking the line strongly at his previous 2 starts. With a front-line bursting with early speed, he is the swooper to capitalise.

KINGOFTHESTARS (7) is after a threepeat of victories after successive wins over the 2138m trip. Rolling forward to cut the breeze from gate 5 here 2 starts back, he was too strong and flexed his muscle when griding out smart win. Finding the front at his next outing, he kept them chasing in scoring a smart win. The gate stings but he can apply the blow torch.

KEY LARGO (1) was forced to do it the tough way last start when facing the breeze and the tough run was his undoing. Buried away from inside the 2nd line the start prior, he can utilise the inside gate along with his early speed to be in the numbers.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (8) does not have the most flattering of numbers next to his name, yet he is going better than they suggest. Gat 7 has been his undoing at his past 2 starts and with a cosy trip here can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (10), KINGOFTHESTARS (7), KEY LARGO (1), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (10) to win

RACE THREE

This race looks an intriguing contest with the battle for the lamp lighting duties either bringing a few undone or giving them the advantage. With that early battle looking likely, PORTALEGRE (9) might be best placed to take the closing shot.  Gunned down by THE HERVEY BAY last start at his 1st outing in Qld, he should take good benefit from the run. With the right trip, he can arrive for the prize.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (1) held the pocket trail from this gate 3 runs back over the mile and with the trip held on for the silver behind THE FORTUNATE SON. Looking to make a late challenge at his next start when within 4m of the winner, he was chasing over the 2138m last start. The gate is ideal to make his challenge.

NIMAH FRANCO (4) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start when landing an inside 2nd line barrier and buried in the run when hitting the line in nice style. With good speed off the arm shown when leading all the way in her previous 2 outings, she can be in the firing line here.

MAJOR FERNCO (5) was 1st up from a freshen here last week when landing gate 7 and easing from at release point to settle back in the field. Trying to mount a closing challenge, it was too big an ask with the leader dictating the tale. From this alley and the added fitness, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: PORTALEGRE (9), HOT ROD HEAVEN (1), NIMAH FRANCO (4), MAJOR FERNCO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PORTALEGRE (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Showing the benefit of confidence following a breakthrough for her 1st win at the track, KOTARE ELITE (1) made it back-to back victories here last start as she looks for the hat-trick. Holding on to claim an all the way win 3 runs back, she did it from the running line last start when finishing best to claim a 2m victory. With the speed to keep them wide, the threepeat is on.

STINGER LINDENNY (9) faced the starter on 2 occasions last preparation when kicking off his Australian career. Starting favourite in both events, the performances did not meet punters expectations. Sent for a break, he has returned with a tidy pipe opener at the trials and despite the 2nd line, finds a suitable 1st up assignment to atone.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (6) eased from gate 5 last start and was too far back to make a closing challenge when chasing as NIMAH FRANCO claimed the win. Runner-up in successive outings prior to that, this looks within his reach if run to suit.

ONYA DOUG (5) was 2nd up from a break last time out and has now been slugged with gate 7 at both return runs. He worked home soundly behind the smart GOING FOR GOLD last start and is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: KOTARE ELITE (1), STINGER LINDENNY (9), NEWPORT DREAMZ (6), ONYA DOUG (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (3)
had a look from gate 6 last start and repelled for the premier position was obliged to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way. In for the fight, he was grinding away to hold on for the bronze when within 2m of the winner. Too slick in front the start prior, he can get to the poles here and look to take them all the way.

TALENT TO SPARE (9) has now faced the starter on 3 occasions this campaign, the latest when sent forward from this same gate to get outside the leader when forced to take the silver. The leader and winner on that occasion was BOOMCHUCKALUCKA and with the gate against her once again, she will be chasing to challenge once again.

NICKS PICK (1) was 1st up from a break to kick off his 3YO term when arriving to claim a tidy victory. Drifting back to secure position from gate 5 last start, the chasers did not really make an impact and with the soft ride here can find the podium.

BLUE SHARD (8) started from gate 10 last start when trying to make a play for the minors when chasing late to grab 4th behind the dictating winner SUNNY RICE. With the chance for the cosy ride, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (3), TALENT TO SPARE (9), NICKS PICK (1), BLUE SHARD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (3) to win

RACE SIX

THATS HOW WEROLL (5)
has started from the 2nd row at his past 4 in succession and been chasing o each occasion. Luckless on Sat night when he could have been closer with a clearer passage behind ONE CHANGE, he was strong to the line the start prior behind MISTER DONALD. The small field looks ideal and he can capitalise.

SABRAGE (1) steps out of the claiming ranks once again to tackle this and lands the perfect gate with his sharp speed out of the machine. Forced to do a mountain of work 2 starts back when sent around the field from a 2nd line gate, he released over the mile last start, but the power was on as SPARKLING CULLECT landed the prize. This looks a suitable assignment.

AQUA MISS (4) will be 1st up since May where she completed a Menangle campaign. Working home strongly in that event, she hit the line in style when 7m in arrears of NO WIN NO FEED. With a pair of tidy trials, the latest from the stand start when not asked for much, she can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (5), SABRAGE (1), AQUA MISS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Despite being a source of great frustration at present, when ALADDIN SANE (5) decides to put it all together he will be winning. Making an error soon after the release last start, he lost a stack of ground before chasing gamely and only beaten 2m. Giving it all away the start prior in similar fashion, it will be hold on to your seat early, but the small field looks in his favour.

CHASING GREAT (3) unlike his stablemate has been a consistent performer in recent outings when stepping cleanly and hitting the board in 5 of his past 6 starts. Only 1m in arrears last start from the pocket trail after stepping and then placing behind ROSEHILL MAGIC, he can throw down the challenge here.

CLOVER LOU (2) resumes from a spell after making an early error at her last outing back in October. Pressing on to take control from a 20m tape 4 runs back and then holding on to score, if forward enough in condition she can feature prominently.

SELECTIONS: ALADDIN SANE (5), CHASING GREAT (3), CLOVER LOU (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ALADDIN SANE (5) to win
