RACE TWO

Shooting for a hat-trick of victories after really putting it together to allay any fears of poor manners, TAM OSHANTER (9) can hit the target off the back mark. Pressing on to take control last start from a front tape, he overcame 40m the start prior for a dominant win. He just needs to trot.

JANSSON (8) made his usual flyer from the start here last time and was soon in behind the leader after starting from the 50m tape. The differential just took its toll in the closing stages as he could not reel in the leader THE GOLD STANDARD. From just 10m here, he can throw it down.

MELPARK MAGIC (5) made the most of his good manners and a messy start to take control here 2 starts back. Once dictating he held on for an all the way win. Back to a 10m tape is a bonus.

FATHER CHRISTMAS (6) was buried in the run in the Christmas Cup last start when chasing in the closing stages behind DOUG. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances of delivering a win.

SELECTIONS: TAM OSHANTER (9), JANSSON (8), MELPARK MAGIC (5), FATHER CHRISTMAS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TAM OSHANTER (9) to win

RACE THREE

Placed in two of three starts since returning from a spell, DANCE IN THE SUN (6) looks to have found the right conditions. A beaten favourite last start when sent out in red figures, she pressed on to take control, only to be collared in the closing strides. Despite a tricky gate, she can capitalise in this.

ISOLATION (2) will take further benefit from his latest performance where he was second up off a spell since arriving in Qld. Eased to the poles form this same gate, he was hemmed away but strong to the line in the closing stages to grab 3rd. A similar trip can see him make a challenge.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) was making some good ground here on Saturday night after easing off the arm from gate 5. Scoring up the passing lane here 2 starts back, the gate gives him options.

DYNAMIC BROMAC (4) is slowly working his way back into some form and was chasing hard for the bronze last start behind CALL ME KEITH. Despite a tricky alley, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (6), ISOLATION (2), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), DYNAMIC BROMAC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Finishing midfield in both starts since arriving in Qld, THREE IN HEAVEN (1) can look to get on the board courtesy of the ace gate. Eased from gate 5 last time, he did not receive the smoothest passage home as GLENLEDI BOY arrived which followed a first up effort in the Members Cup when sitting parked.

BELLA BALL TERROR (7) is in search of a hat-trick of victories after wins at the mile and then the 2138m here on Saturday when claiming a qualifying win. Pressing on from gate 6 to take control in that contest, he fought them off in the stretch for a smart win. The gate stings but he is in form.

KENSINGTON BILL (8) has placed at his past two starts, the latest here on Saturday night when trying to make a late rally, finishing 3m from the winner after starting from gate 6. The cosy trip will suit.

GLENLEDI BOY (4) is also after a threepeat of victories after going back-to-back last start when claiming victory at the mile. That was a tough effort after sitting parked and he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THREE IN HEAVEN (1), BELLA BALL TERROR (7), KENSINGTON BILL (8), GLENLEDI BOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

CHARLEVOIX (3) was eased from gate 4 last start and was soon at the rear of the pack. Making a closing raid wide off the track, he hit the line in smart order to grab the silver behind LETS BLAZE when just 1m in arrears. Despite a win drought of 30 months, the rains can arrive here.

WHATELEY (8) settled in the pocket trail from the ace last start and was chasing hard as the airborne TRACER BULLET claimed the prize. Doing his share of work the start prior when pressing forward for position from gate 4, he can be tucked away and searching for the gaps to make his challenge.

RANCHO MAN (4) will take good benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell off gate 1. From the trail he chimed in for the bronze and with early hustle can improve again here.

JOEY LINCOLN (7) eased from the wide gate last start before picking off some metres over the closing stages when within 5m of the winner BETTING BARON. With even luck he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CHARLEVOIX (3), WHATELEY (8), RANCHO MAN (4), JOEY LINCOLN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARLEVOIX (3) to win

RACE SIX

Wider gates have conspired against HARPS (3) in his recent outings, the latest here on Saturday as KEY LARGO took them all the way. The improved alley is a bonus here and can be the catalyst for him taking control and look to dictate. A winner and then beaten a head the last two times he has been in control; he can fight them off.

EH EF EL (1) was a passing lane winner over this trip 3 starts back when releasing the speed before making the closing shot a winning one. Asked to do it tough when sitting parked at his next start when 5m from the winner, he will be stalking the speed here ready to strike.

THE ANNOUNCER (5) is trained by NSW based Dean Cernovskis and has had 4 runs back from a spell, with 3 of those at Menangle. Midfield to ILIKEMEBETTOR last start when chasing, he is a four-time winner here at The Creek.

KEAYANG MARVEN (4) grabbed the silver behind KEY LARGO here on Saturday, but not after facing his share of hurdles in the early stages. A winner at 2 of his past 4 starts and placed in the other two, he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: HARPS (3), EH EF EL (1), THE ANNOUNCER (5), KEAYANG MARVEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HARPS (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Although winless since September, the recent efforts of SABRAGE (6) have been full of merit, where he has been withing 3m of the winner at his past three starts. Pressing forward from the second line last start before finding cover, he was runner-up in successive starts when using his speed from wide gates and might just be able to sneak home in a wide-open contest here.

WATCH PULP FICTION (10) has looked to have found his chance to breakthrough for a win in recent starts, but has just come up short at each attempt. Runner-up last start after griding it out and only collared in the closing strides by SUBTLE DELIGHT, he can again look to throw down the challenge.

SCOOB OPERATOR (7) is a four-time winner here at the track that sneaks into this race nicely after a last start 4th behind MACH DAN at Menangle. Runner-up to SICARIO 3 starts back, he can defy the tough alley.

PARAVANI (9) resumes from a spell here after being shut down following a down the line effort in October behind DEUS EX. 3rd to WILL THE WIZARD the start prior, he has trialled in sound order in readiness for his return.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (6), WATCH PULP FICTION (10), SCOOB OPERATOR (7), PARAVANI (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
