RACE TWO

NICKS PICK (1) was angled to the pegs from the 2nd line last start in the Redcliffe Sales Final and was sound to the line when 8m in arrears of the talented MANILA PLAYBOY. Placed his previous 2 starts including a nice 2nd in the heats behind GLITTER STRIP, he has the options from gate 1 to capitalise.

STOKER ACE (2) will strip fitter from his latest start where he was resuming from a spell. Eased from gate 7, he was soon too far back to issue a challenge when the speed went on. Placed in all 4 career starts prior to being sent for a break, he can settle close to the action and can be right in the fight.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (4) has been to the track on 13 occasions now in trying to secure what is proving an elusive 1st win. Down the line in the Redcliffe Sales Final last start, she can fire the 1st shot here.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) was a tidy 3rd to the subsequent winner CHAMONIX when making his race debut and followed that with a tough run when fading out. He can be an improver here.

SELECTIONS: NICKS PICK (1), STOKER ACE (2), BAILEYS WITH LEGS (4), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

DOWN UNDER RORS (4)
should appreciate the conditions of this contest that sees him get to the front tape. His last start had merit when working home in good order from a 40m tape which had followed a close-up 5th when within 5m of the winner AVEROSS DON. He looks to get his chance.

AVEROSS DON (5) was building towards a victory after finishing as the runner-up on successive occasions, beaten 1.5m and a flared nostril. Down the line behind THE REAPER at his next outing, he was able to cash-in here 2 starts back, finishing best to score. From the 10m he can challenge.

SKYLINE (8) was returning from a spell last start when caught looking for position and obliged to restrain back to slot in. It was a tidy effort considering and with the added fitness can feature here.

DAY TOURER (3) is a brilliant beginner and from the front tape over this distance, he can be at the pointy end cheaply. 3m from THE REAPER 2 starts back after releasing the front, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DOWN UNDER RORS (4), AVEROSS DON (5), SKYLINE (8), DAY TOURER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWN UNDER RORS (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (6)
will take benefit from his 1st look at The Creek when mid-field behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT. With the power on through the last 800m, it was always a task for the chasers with a 54.7 last half set from the front. A nice 2nd at Menangle 2 starts back, this looks ideal.

BETTOR SPORT (9) is another that was having his 1st start in Qld in that same contest taken by A RAINBOW DELIGHT. Setting up outside the leader, he was forced to grind it out and there was plenty to like about the gritty effort. Pushing through in the early stages, he can provide the test.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) started from gate 10 last start and after settling rearward was wide off the track when trying to work into the contest when only 7m in arrears. The improved gate is a big plus.

SNOOP STRIDE (8) found the right conditions to swoop home over the top of them here last start and grab the prize. He will need some luck from this gate, however if the gaps arrive, he can celebrate a Sestercentenary of race starts in style.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (6), BETTOR SPORT (9), THE RAGNBONE MAN (2), SNOOP STRIDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTATHANAJEEP (3) has hit his straps and lines up here in search of a hat-trick of victories after wins at the 2138m and 1660m trips. Pressing forward from the 2nd line to cut the breeze over this trip 2 starts back, he packed too much power in taking an 8m victory. The threepeat is attainable.

LA PLAYER (4) was 1st up in Qld last start when asked to do it the tough way wide off the track in a strong mile set by BETTATHANAJEEP. That had followed a luckless run 2 starts back when not much went right at Menangle. Better suited to the middle-distance, he can look to challenge here.

JUST DEAL IT (2) took on a strong mares contest last start when not much went right in the early stages. Placed her previous 3 in succession, including a tough 2nd after working hard, she has claims.

ROGER THAT (5) started from gate 2 in a qualifier last start when looking to take them all the way. Fighting hard to finish within 2m of the winner HEZA BROMAC, with even luck here, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANAJEEP (3), LA PLAYER (4), JUST DEAL IT (2), ROGER THAT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANAJEEP (3) to win

RACE SIX

EL GRAN SENOR (8) arrived in Qld with a bang here 4 starts back when swooping home down the outside to claim a smart win over the 2138m. That was followed with a 2nd to the in-form ULTIMATE AD. His numbers don’t show much his past 2 starts, but that doesn’t tell the real tale and with the likelihood of a cosy trip can take the snipers shot here.

THATS HOW WEROLL (1) settled in the running line last start from gate 2 and was solid to the line in a 26.8 closer set from the front end. Not much went his way the start prior when ending up too far back after retreating from gate 6. He might just look to lead them up from the improved gate and will be in for the fight.

ARTHUR LOWE (5) was left chasing the smart ROLL WITH LACHLAN last start when mid-field over the sprint trip. Working home wide out 2 starts back, positioning cheaply in this can see him feature.

OUTLAW FELLA (6) is never far from the action in these conditioned races and was a winner here 2 starts back under similar circumstances. Pressing to the front to lead throughout from gate 5, he is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: EL GRAN SENOR (8), THATS HOW WEROLL (1), ARTHUR LOWE (5), OUTLAW FELLA (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

SUBTLE DELIGHT (10)
was snagged back from gate 5 last start and was just too far back in the pack when trying to work into the race in slick closing sections run by the winner SPEECH IS SILVER. That followed successive runs in open company, including a close 3rd to COLT THIRTY ONE. He can overcome the gate impediment.

PADRISIMO (5) will take good benefit from his 1st run for Charlie Cini when stepping out for the 1st time in close to 7 weeks. Settling in the running line from a 2nd line gate over the mile, he was losing in nice order to grab the silver. Despite the sticky gate, he can find position to challenge here.

CLARRY (2) was an eye-catcher 1st up when eased from gate 4 to find position over this trip. Hitting the line nicely in smart closing panels, he will strip fitter for the outing and can feature.

BEE GEES BANDIT (1) has been to the track twice since resuming from a break and should be further tightened from the latest effort when searching for gaps that didn’t arrive. The gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: SUBTLE DELIGHT (10), PADRISIMO (5), CLARRY (2), BEE GEES BANDIT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SUBTLE DELIGHT (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

BANGKOK BRAVADO (6) will be further tightened from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a spell. Not much went in his favour last start when caught in a pocket and hitting dead-ends all the way home. Not too far away at Redcliffe when resuming, he can look to make his own luck here.

MUMMYS BOY (8) has placed at his past 2 starts in slick time on each occasion. Releasing the speed 2 starts back to trail WILL THE WIZARD, he held on for the silver. Charging home last start after retreating in the early stages from gate 7, he just needs a rub of the green to challenge here.

GOLIGHTLY (7) went to the pegs from gate 10 last start looking for the short-cuts and wasn’t too far from the winner ANOTHER STATEMENT. The gate stings but he can be in for the fight.

COPPICE (2) will take benefit from his 1st outing in Qld when taking on this same trip from the same gate. Firing the 1st shot, he can look to settle in a forward position and looks an improver in this.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK BRAVADO (6), MUMMYS BOY (8), GOLIGHTLY (7), COPPICE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BANGKOK BRAVADO (6) to win

RACE NINE

ABERCROMBIE TAB (8) is on the back-up from Sunday night at Redcliffe where not much went his way at all. Locked away on the pegs and stuck behind a tiring runner, he was carted back through the pack. Despite his chances ending, he closed nicely when the gap opened. Needing a big rub of the green, he is worth a ticket in a tough race.

ITS SUPER EASY (10) pressed forward to take control over the mile here on Friday and once in front, never looked in danger in claiming a 4m victory. Placed his previous 2 starts, including a close 3rd after working away from inside the 2nd line, he can look to throw down the challenge.

FIRE ME UP (5) eased from gate 7 last start to settle back in the pack and couldn’t work into the race. Banished to the trials 2 starts back, she has had 2 runs back from a 10 month break and can feature.

INCITER (7) was snagged back from gate 6 last start to look for some luck and possible short-cuts when hitting dead-ends and not finishing too far from the winner. With better luck he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ABERCROMBIE TAB (8), ITS SUPER EASY (10), FIRE ME UP (5), INCITER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ABERCROMBIE TAB (8) to win
