RACE TWO

ONLY IN ROME (5) was a winner here 5 starts back when working into the 1x1 trail from inside the 2nd line and finishing over the top to claim a 2m victory. Placed in all 4 starts since that win, he was sent to the breeze from gate 6 last start when fighting to the line and can look to go one better.

ONE OFF (4) capitalised from gate 2 here last week over the sprint trip, finding the pegs to then dictate to claim a 3m victory, turning it into a last panel blitz in clocking 28.1 to claim the prize. Luckless the start prior, that run had followed 4 successive placings and he is right in this.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (7) scored here 4 starts back when finishing best along the passing lane to score. Eased from gate 5 last start, she was finishing hard for 2nd to ONE OFF and can feature again.

SWAFFHAM WATER (1) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest a tidy effort from gate 5. Snagging back early, she was making nice metres in the closing stages and from this gate can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ONLY IN ROME (5), ONE OFF (4), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (7), SWAFFHAM WATER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-7

RACE THREE

SIRIUS VICKI (7) has been racing well without much going her way and not really gaining rewards for her effort. Hitting the line nicely last start when 5m in arrears of ONE OFF, she wasn’t too far away from OUR DELIGHT in a mares qualifier 2 starts back. Coiled for the snipers shot, she can arrive.

SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (2) was working towards a win following some nice performances and found conditions to suit over the AP mile 2 starts back when using the passing lane to arrive. Backing that up with a late closing win last start over this trip, he has the gate to challenge for the hat-trick.

IAM THE JOKER (1) has been the lamp lighter at his past 3 starts and has been gunned down in each. Gripping on last start when nabbed by BIG IN AMERICA, he will be trying to fight them off again here.

MAJOR LUCKY (5) doesn’t have many favours from this alley, however he has worked his way back into form, finishing best from gate 6 last start to claim the prize. He can be charging home again.

SELECTIONS: SIRIUS VICKI (7), SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (2), IAM THE JOKER (1), MAJOR LUCKY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SIRIUS VICKI (7) to win

RACE FOUR

PATCHWORK JET (2)
angled to the pegs last start from the 2nd line over the AP mile and with the economical trip had bullets to fire int the stretch, charging home to go within an eyelash of victory. Not suited in the breeze the start prior, he has the gate to settle at the pointy end and take this.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (4) will be resuming to start her 4YO term, with 12 months since her last race appearance. In the money at 6 of her 7 attempts as a 3YO, including an all the way win From gate 5 at Albion Park, she has prepare with a sound trial and will improve on whatever she achieves.

MUCHO GUAPA (8) has featured in a stable switch and will line up here for Vicki Rasmussen. Fading in the closing stages last start from the pocket trail, she can be swooping late to chime in.

BLACKJEWEL (5) found conditions to suit last start and despite rolling the sleeves to do it the tough way, had too much ammunition in pulling clear to a 9m victory. The gate stings, but she can feature.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (2), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (4), MUCHO GUAPA (8), BLACKJEWEL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (2) to win

RACE FIVE

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) started from this gate last time out and was soon buried in the run and facing a tough task when in the 2nd half of the pack behind BIG IN AMERICA. Forced to work in the run the start prior in a 2nd division qualifier, provided he has the momentum, he can arrive up the lane.

ONE LAST ROLL (1) will strip fitter following his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Not that far away when resuming in a conditioned race over the AP mile, he did some early work last start over the 2040m. From the gate, he can fire the 1st shot and will be trying to fight them off.

ART SUNSET (5) started from the ace last start and was soon buried away prior to hitting the line in nice order. She took on a much stronger contest 2 starts back and despite a tough gate has claims.

MISS CATALINA (6) has the tough gate to negotiate, but her performance of late suggest she is a podium player here. Snagged back from this gate last start, she was closing nicely and can repeat.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (7), ONE LAST ROLL (1), ART SUNSET (5), MISS CATALINA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (7) to win

RACE SIX

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2) was sent to the post as fav last time out over this trip when looking to take them all the way from gate 1. With a steady opening 800m, he was nabbed in the closing stages, falling a neck short of the prize. Buried in the run the start prior, he can look to dictate again.

MONTEREY JACK (6) is racing in nice touch with not much going his way, having placed in 3 of his past 4 starts. Tough from outside the leader last start at Marburg when beaten a half-head, he was only a neck away 2 starts back. Despite the wide gate, he can look to throw it down here.

SIR JUJON (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when locked away from inside the 2nd line and then finishing over the top to score. Tough in the breeze last start, from the gate he can feature here.

MISTER FAHRENHEIT (8) has no favours from this gate and although better suited when off the front, he should secure the right trail through here. Holding on after leading all the way last start, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2), MONTEREY JACK (6), SIR JUJON (1), MISTER FAHRENHEIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

CANNAN (7) started from gate 4 last start when easing to find position over the 1780m. Trying to make a run in the closing stages, he didn’t have much luck in securing open space and could have been much closer than the 8m margin. Forced to cut the breeze the start prior, he looks set for the easy trip here and can make the closing shot a winner.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (4) has been placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when locked on the poles and grabbing the bronze behind BARBOO. From the pocket trail 2 starts back, he was making a dive up the passing lane when 3m from the winner BIG IM AMERICA. Fitter after his last start, he can challenge.

LA BELLE CHEVAL (5) dropped into the pocket trail last start and with the perfect trip was able to cruise home to claim her 2nd career victory. The wide gate hurts, but she can be chiming in here.

GLENCOE REIGN (3) started from gate 1 last start and was soon buried in the run over the AP mile. Sound to the line after the easy trip to grab the bronze, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (7), WILD ABOUT TOWN (4), LA BELLE CHEVAL (5), GLENCOE REIGN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CANNAN (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

CAPTAINS PICK (5) will strip fitter following his latest run when resuming from a freshen. Pressing forward to take control in the Breeders Consolation at his 2nd career start, he packed too many guns in cruising home to score. In for the fight at his return, he can get forward and looks hard to stop.

SHERBETS CHOICE (8) found the line in nice order on debut when grabbing the silver behind WHATTA GOOD REASON. That effort was franked when taken to AP last start, he finished best to claim the prize. Back to his home track and with the added experience, he can descend on them.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (7) didn’t have much go his way when on debut, yet it was still a sharp effort to grab the bronze behind SHERBETS CHOICE. A passing lane winner 2nd up, he will need a slice of luck here but can’t be dismissed.

TANCALTRA LIS (6) has no favours from the wide gate as she returns from a freshen after claiming the Fillies Breeders Consolation last start. With even luck from the gate, she has place claims.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (5), SHERBETS CHOICE (8), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (7), TANCALTRA LIS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS PICK (5) to win

RACE NINE

DUCHESS DOWNUNDER (4) settled in the 1x1 from the 2nd line 2 starts back and worked home soundly when 9m from the winner BARONE. Pressing forward from gate 5 last start to create space for the pocket trail and holding on for the silver. In this line-up she can look to open the account.

TALENT IN SPADES (2) pressed on to take control here 3 starts back from gate 5 but was wayward in the run which saw her banished to the trials. Placed in both starts since earning the return, she held on for 2nd last start at Marburg behind UTELLA. From the gate she can fire the 1st shot to challenge.

ELSIES GIRL (3) was off her game 2 starts back and was sent back to the trials as a result. Earning the return with a tidy hit-out, her run here last start was a nice effort and she can feature here.

TEACHERS PET (1) held the pocket trail last start over this trip and was best of the chasers as CHAMPAGNE REACTOR held on to score. With the benefit of the inside line, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DUCHESS DOWNUNDER (4), TALENT IN SPADES (2), ELSIES GIRL (3), TEACHERS PET (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
