RACE TWO

A strong mares race here with a few of these missing a call-up to the G1 Golden Girl and looking to claim some consolation dollars. NO WIN NO FEED (7) has no favours from this alley but has been copping some tough draws in recent weeks. Sectionally strong last week behind FAME ASSURED, she can defy the gate.

FAIRY TINKABELL (1) claimed a mares qualifier 2 starts back when leading throughout with a strong closing 800m to keep them chasing in vain. Sent to the front last start from gate 5, she was trying to hold on when nabbed in the final stride. With available options from this gate, she can go close.

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (3) fired the early bullets last start before taking cover on SAUCY DREAM and then could not go on with it. 5m in arrears the start prior when leading, she can put the early heat into this.

SAUCY DREAMS (8) comes up with the early options as the lone second liner to find the running line. Sent forward last start in the Fleur De Lil, the strong opening half left her vulnerable. At her best out in front, she has some claims.

SELECTIONS: NO WIN NO FEED (7), FAIRY TINKABELL (1), MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (3), SAUCY DREAMS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NO WIN NO FEED (7) to win

RACE THREE

EH EF EL (3)
was a winner here 3 starts back when easing from gate 6 and allowing his opponents to set the tempo. Angled wider for the last shot, he powered over the top in claiming a smart win. Placed in both starts since that win, similar tactics can see him swooping late to claim this.

KEAYANG KREUZER (2) scored a smart win at Redcliffe 3 starts back and followed that when midfield in a strong race claimed by EXPENSIVE EGO. Luckless at his next outing when buried in the run, his 4 starts here at The Creek have all been from the 2nd line. The improved gate puts him right in contention.

THE HERVEY BAY (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when 2nd up from a spell. Tackling the 2040m at Redcliffe, he was sent forward from a wide gate and proved too strong. With a super record since arriving in Qld, he will be in the fight here.

SOHO TSUNAMI (1) took the trail from this gate last start before making the closing shot a winning one via the passing lane. Midfield the start prior, he has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: EH EF EL (3), KEAYANG KREUZER (2), THE HERVEY BAY (5), SOHO TSUNAMI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: EH EF EL (3) to win

RACE FOUR

This looks a tricky contest with the 2138m asking some questions of a few of the combatants here. Although winless at the trip, IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (11) might just have found the right conditions following his strong 2nd over this trip last start when charging home from back in the pack. The tempo looks set to give him a swooping hope.

LEITHEN BURN (3) showed the speed to lead from gate 1 last start and starting deep into the red looked to take them all the way. Unable to see it out, he was able to hold on for the silver behind QUICK STEP. Fitter after 2 runs since arriving in Aus, he steps up to the 2138m here and warrants respect.

NICKS PICK (10) found his race 2 starts back when sent straight to the front from gate 2 and once in control was able to take them all the way. Only a neck away last start, he can feature again here.

METAKI MAJIC (4) was asked to do it the tough way last start and was in for the fight when only 3m in arrears of the winner at the mile. A Bathurst winner 4 starts back, she is in the mix from this gate.

SELECTIONS: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (11), LEITHEN BURN (3), NICKS PICK (10), METAKI MAJIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (11) to win

RACE FIVE

OAXACAN DREAM (9) worked home strongly from back in the pack here 4 starts back when runner-up over the mile to MISTERY ROAD. Placed at her next 2 over this trip including a gritty 3rd to ADAM CROCKER, she was quickest up the passing lane last start. In what looks open, she has the form to capitalise.

SHADY AZZ (11) arrives as a travelling companion for his Derby bound stablemate and will be resuming from a spell here. Without any public trials to be located against his name, he will likely take good benefit from the run. Last seen back in March against the tempo behind JILLIBY LORENZO, he stays under notice.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (10) steps out in Qld for the first time since joining the Matt Elkins barn and has not been seen since May 29. With the right cart into the contest, he has podium hopes 1st up.

VOODOO LOU (2) used the passing lane last start to make the closing shot a winning one over this trip. Not too far away in a mares qualifier the start prior, she can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: OAXACAN DREAM (9), SHADY AZZ (11), JUDDY DOUGLAS (10), VOODOO LOU (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OAXACAN DREAM (9) to win

RACE SIX

Despite looking in a spot of bother from the trail last week at his first Qld appearance when the leader walked through the opening half, LAMANDIER (2) showed some slippery moves up the passing lane to get past the leader in sizzling style. From the gate he looks mighty hard to stop.

KING OF TRUMPS (9) was asked to hang tough when sent around from the 2nd line to sit parked last time out and was in for the fight over the 2138m when within 3m of the winner OHOKA CHOPPER. Only beaten a pimple the start prior, the gate stings but pressing through early can throw it down.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) started from inside the 2nd line last start and did not have the smoothest ride home when within 3m of the winner. Charging home the start prior, he will be in the mix here.

TARGARYEN (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage as he looks set to be buried in the run. A winner 2 starts back when sitting parked, he will be searching for space here.

SELECTIONS: LAMANDIER (2), KING OF TRUMPS (9), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6), TARGARYEN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LAMANDIER (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

QUICK STEP (3)
has started to put it together and lines up here with 3 wins in her past 5 starts including the past 2 in succession. Settling back in the pack from the 2nd line last start, she powered home over the top to claim a smart win, her 1st here at The Creek. Settling handy, the threepeat is on.

EL AGUILA (9) found the 1x1 trail here last start and was making a closing play to grab the bronze when 3m from the winner OAXACAN DREAM. Finishing best to defy gate 7 the previous start in hitting the line in smart order, she can look to press through early and has challenging chances.

IL MAXIMUS (1) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Unable to go on with it in the closing stages, both return runs have been from the 2nd line and the gate is a huge plus.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (10) will be fitter following one run back from a spell where he retreated from outside the front line at Redcliffe before hitting the line in smart order. With a cart into the contest he can feature.

SELECTIONS: QUICK STEP (3), EL AGUILA (9), IL MAXIMUS (1), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-9-10

RACE EIGHT

There are a number of chances here and none of them look clear-cut in a tricky race to dissect. Fitter following one run back from a spell and making his Australian debut MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (10) can overcome the tough gate. Working home in nice order when midfield behind MULLUM FLO, he might just be able to sneak home with this.

DEVOUGED (6) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest here over the 2138m when looming up in the stretch to get within a neck of the winner. Making a closing play when 3m to SWEET LOMBO the start prior, the gate is not ideal, but he can be descending on them late.

MONTANA EXPRESS (7) has been to the track on 3 occasions since resuming from a spell, the latest can be forgotten when striking trouble. With the right trip, he can be looking to join in.

CROWN MOJO (4) eased from gate 7 to secure position lasts start before trying to work into the contest when 9m off the winner. Not too far from them in recent outings, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (10), DEVOUGED (6), MONTANA EXPRESS (7), CROWN MOJO (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

In a field that boasts a combined 147 starts here at The Creek, just 2 of the field have a previous win at this venue. Despite just 2 placings in 10 attempts here, WOODLANDS WONDER (9) might have found the conditions and opponents to change that. Luckless last start when forced to retreat, he looks well-placed.

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (4) has not had a great deal of luck in snaring a barrier in recent outings and should appreciate an improved gate here. Eased from gate 6 last start at Redcliffe before finding the line in nice order, she is fast out of the machine and finds a suitable contest to make a challenge.

SCHOOBY (2) was a Marburg winner 3 starts back when sent to the front and taking them all the way. With the early speed, he can fire the first shot here and is a podium hope.

FORGIVE ME (7) has no favours from the wide gate here and will need some tempo in her favour to chime in. Placed last start at Redcliffe, she can be thereabouts against this field.

SELECTIONS: WOODLANDS WONDER (9), MIDNIGHT QUEEN (4), SCHOOBY (2), FORGIVE ME (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WOODLANDS WONDER (9) to win

RACE TEN

ALDEBARAN SELENA (1) looked to take them all the way last time from the front tape and was gripping on deep into the stretch when nabbed in the closing stages. She found them a little tougher the previous outing and if stepping cleanly, this looks her chance to open this season’s account.

THE NIGHT KING (8) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when pressing on from the 30m impost to find the front and once in control was too strong in claiming the prize. Making a costly error last start, if he can trot cleanly throughout, he can throw down the challenge in this.

IMA  CALVERT ROSE (10) was wide off the track when trying to chime in last time out when finishing midfield. With a similar trip she can be thereabouts once again here.

MISTER CHISOLM (6) started from the 40m tape last start and from back in the pack was beaten the handicap when near the rear. Fitter again following 2 runs back from a spell, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: ALDEBARAN SELENA (1), THE NIGHT KING (8), IMA  CALVERT ROSE (10), MISTER CHISOLM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALDEBARAN SELENA (1) to win

RACE ELEVEN

ROSEHILL MAGIC (2) pressed on from the 10m tape last time out over the 2647m trip before fading to a midfield position when the power went on. 9m from PRINCESS FAITH the start prior, she can begin safely to find the front here and from that position over the middle trip will take stopping.

MELPARK MAGIC (6) started from 30m last time out and despite being safely away could not go on with it. Not too far away from ORLANDO JOLT the start prior, a return to this level can see him make a challenging play despite the 20m impost.

MATATOKI (7) will take added benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Tackling both DJA heats, he has made errors on each occasion and should appreciate the absence of the topliners here.

ONE NIGHT OUT (3) has contested both heats of the DJA Series and lines up here after running into PINK GALAHS in both heat rounds. Resuming from a spell in the first round, from the front tape here and fitter 3rd up, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: ROSEHILL MAGIC (2), MELPARK MAGIC (6), MATATOKI (7), ONE NIGHT OUT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ROSEHILL MAGIC (2) to win
