RACE TWO

GOODTIME ROY (10) was the top-price lot from the 2020 Brisbane APG Sales, and he makes his debut for the Victorian based Courtney Slater here. With a tidy trial in preparation for his race debut, he has been given no favours from the second line but stays under a big watch.

REBLINE (5) returns from a spell after finishing down the line on debut back in May at Redcliffe against older horses. With a tidy trial behind GOODTIME ROY in readiness for her return, she can look to make the most of the alley to make a challenge in this.

HARLEY BLUE (9) continues to make good improvement at each outing and lines up here after finishing fourth in the Triad Final on Saturday night. The gate stings but she can be chiming in.

SHADYS CULLECT (6) is still searching for the maiden breaking win but has been able to place in 5 of her 10 appearances. Down the line behind CAT KING COLE in the Triad Final, she has some claims here.

SELECTIONS: GOODTIME ROY (10), REBLINE (5), HARLEY BLUE (9), SHADYS CULLECT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOODTIME ROY (10) to win

RACE THREE

CINDAROCKINRELLA (1)
will strip fitter from her latest outing when making her first appearance in Qld. Asked to sit parked over the 1780m at The Triangle, she was in for the fight and was only a neck in arrears of the winner DEAL BREAKER. With all the options from this alley, she can capitalise.

ELLE JAY (3) found the front from gate 4 over the Redcliffe sprint trip 3 runs back and after a steady opening half of the last mile, was unable to finish them off. Runner-up to WHATA REACTOR 4 runs back, she has he gate to be at the pointy end here to make a challenge.

GINA TARANTELLA (7) went off the boil for some time but her past 2 runs have been much improved. Grabbing 3rd behind subsequent winner LITTLEDEE last time, further improvement can see her in the numbers here.

FASTNFLASHY (8) should appreciate a cosy run in behind the speed here and can be ready to chime in when the gaps open. Trying to chime in from back in the pack at 3 Qld starts, the gate suits.

SELECTIONS: CINDAROCKINRELLA (1), ELLE JAY (3), GINA TARANTELLA (7), FASTNFLASHY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CINDAROCKINRELLA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MAC SWEENEY (3)
was first up from a spell last time out at The Triangle when sent straight to the front over the sprint trip from gate 2. Off the back of a smart preparatory trial, he was given no peace in front yet held on to claim the silver. Fitter for the run, he can go one better here.

BARIKA (10) landed gate 6 last start at Redcliffe and despite the wide alley looked to have found her race and was sent to the post as a $1.30 hotpot. Working hard in the run, she was collared on the wire, beaten a pimple. The gate stings again but she can look for her first Aus victory.

INNOCENT HEAVEN (7) broke the maiden status at Redcliffe 2 starts back when finding the front from gate 4 and walking them the opening half. Banished to the trials last start, she earns the return and has podium claims.

HANOVER LECTER (2) returns from a spell after sent for a break after her last appearance at Redcliffe back in April when down the line behind SHES MISS DEVINE. With no public trial to prepare, she will take great benefit from whatever she can achieve here.

SELECTIONS: MAC SWEENEY (3), BARIKA (10), INNOCENT HEAVEN (7), HANOVER LECTER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAC SWEENEY (3) to win

RACE FIVE

ALTANA BLUE (7)
was buried away from inside the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe but finding space sprinted hard to arrive for the prize. Asked to do it the tough way the start prior when midfield, they can get forward to nullify the gate here and he can look to throw it down.

ESTARDAY (10) eased from gate 4 last time out at Redcliffe and was back in the field when never really getting warm. Placed her previous 3 in succession that included a fast-finishing 2nd when a half-head in arrears, with the right run off the tempo she can look to arrive in an open race.

RISKY BUZINESS (2) was beaten by gate 6 last start and 2 starts back was sound to the line from the 2nd line to grab the bronze. The gate suits here and from the front he can take some catching.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (8) was making a closing dive last start to get within a head of the winner after starting from the 2nd line at Redcliffe. Needing some luck here, he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: ALTANA BLUE (7), ESTARDAY (10), RISKY BUZINESS (2), ABERCROMBIE TAB (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTANA BLUE (7) to win

RACE SIX

HAPPY PUBLICANS (2)
was not suited from inside the 2nd line last start and once the field was sorted was shuffled right back to near the rear. Threading a passage in the stretch, he was closing hard when only a neck from the winner. The improved gate is a plus and he gets the chance for a 2021 breakthrough.

LETS HUSTLE (6) was stepping out in Qld for the first time here last week when settling in the 1x1 trail after starting from the 2nd row. Unable to go on with it in the latter stages when trying to offer, he should take good benefit from the run, his first since April. The gate stings but he can challenge.

HIGH ON MONTANA (10) is never too far from the action and last start made an error that has seen him banished with the ODM tag. Finishing over the top of them at Marburg 2 starts back, he can be chiming in here.

PAGO PAGO (8) started from gate 1 last time over the 2040m and was soon hemmed away 3 back on the poles. Finishing best when shown open road, he can be probing for gaps to join in here.

SELECTIONS: HAPPY PUBLICANS (2), LETS HUSTLE (6), HIGH ON MONTANA (10), PAGO PAGO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY PUBLICANS (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

FLIGHT CREW (8)
has been given a freshen since the third of her 3 starts here in Qld where she was wide off the track in trying to make a play. Back into the main draw after being banished following a huge run 3 starts back at her 1st outing in Qld, she follows the likely leader and can be ready to take the snipers shot.

FRANCO NANDOR (1) should appreciate a tight gate here to utilise his early speed. Sent around them to sit parked last start over the Redcliffe 1780m, he was fighting hard to hold on for the bronze. An all the way winner 3 starts back, he will be gripping on here deep into the stretch.

JAZIAH (5) was resuming from a spell back on July 1 when settling in the 1x1 trail before finishing 8m from the winner GET READY TO ROCK. A talented 3YO filly, she can be thereabouts here.

GWENDALION (2) has hit the board her past 3, all at Redcliffe which have included a pair of wins. Charging hard last start when only beaten a neck, she is in the mix from this alley.

SELECTIONS: FLIGHT CREW (8), FRANCO NANDOR (1), JAZIAH (5), GWENDALION (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FLIGHT CREW (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

SKIPPYS DELIGHT (2)
started from gate 10 last time and was making a 3-wide move when looming up but ultimately finished 8m in arrears of the winner DELIGHTFUL REASON. Hitting the line in nice order 2 starts back, he finds the right race to take control and open his Qld account.

HAMMERTIME HARLEY (10) heads North and joins the Turpin stable after finishing in the top-two at 5 of her past 7 appearances. Asked to sit parked last start over the Penrith 1720m, she went under as the fav when 7m from the winner. Freshened since that appearance, she can challenge first up.

BARKWAY ARNOLD (9) is never far from the action and was only collared in the closing stages last time out when setting the speed over the Redcliffe 1780m trip. With the right trip he has claims.

MONTEREY JACK (8) was wide off the track last start from gate 5 at Redcliffe but proved too strong over the latter stages when pulling clear to claim a 5m victory. Look for him probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (2), HAMMERTIME HARLEY (10), BARKWAY ARNOLD (9), MONTEREY JACK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (2) to win

RACE NINE

YOUNG CONQUEROR (3) was sent forward from gate 5 last time out and required to do it the tough way over the 2040m when 6m in arrears of GLENLEDI BOY. Buried in the run 2 starts back from inside the 2nd line, he is yet to land a win since crossing the Tasman but might just have found the right conditions here to capitalise.

VIENNA BOY (1) faces a similar set-up to last Friday night where he landed gate 1 and NOTORIOUS led them up. That was over the 2138m and the return to the 1660m with the same pattern might just be more beneficial here. 5m from OAXACAN DREAM 2 starts back, he can challenge.

SAINT KILDA BEACH (8) will need a slice of luck at some point from this alley but tucking in behind the speed will be searching for gaps. With an even rub of the green she has podium claims.

NOTORIOUS (2) set the tempo from this same gate on Friday but could not see it out over the middle-distance when 6m in arrears. The mile is more his cup of Tetley’s, and he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: YOUNG CONQUEROR (3), VIENNA BOY (1), SAINT KILDA BEACH (8), NOTORIOUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8
