RACE TWO

Making her first appearance in Qld since joining the stables of Ben Battle here 2 weeks back, TULHURST LOVER (2) was sent to the front from gate 3 but was unable to see it out. Fresh from a spell in that event, she will be fitter for the outing and finds the race to get to the front and dictate.

LITTLEDEE (7) has had 18 attempts here on this track where she has been able to place on 6 occasions as she searches for Marburg maiden breaker. A tough winner over the AP mile 5 starts back, she finds the type of contest to make a challenge here.

GINA TARANTELLA (8) showed some improvement last time out when working home wide off the track to chime in for the bronze, albeit 20m from the winner. She can be a late factor again here.

SWEET SCOOT (1) is still a maiden and while that does not look like changing in this contest, she has the gate to tuck in behind the speed and be ready to make a podium play in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST LOVER (2), LITTLEDEE (7), GINA TARANTELLA (8), SWEET SCOOT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

LIVING FREE (2)
has super speed out of the machine and will get the chance to fire the first shot here. Fading after leading them up last start, it could be a battle to the first turn but if he can get to the pegs, he will get his opportunity to take them all the way.

REDDY FIRE (1) held the front from this alley here 2 starts back and looked to have the race under control only to roll up the track in the stretch and present the salon passage to the winner. Forget his last start where he was completely outclassed, back to this grade from this gate suits.

COUNTRY RUN (8) resumes from a spell and has not been to the public trials to prepare. Placed in 3 of 6 here at this track, he can follow through and if they go too hard can be ready to pounce.

ONE HELLAVA PARTY (6) broke the maiden status at Redcliffe 5 runs back and since that win not much has really been in his favour. He will get a cosy trip in behind the speed and be searching for a way clear in this.

SELECTIONS: LIVING FREE (2), REDDY FIRE (1), COUNTRY RUN (8), ONE HELLAVA PARTY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-8

RACE FOUR

Last tasting success when scoring here on this track back in February HIGH ON MONTANA (8) has looked a good hope in a few events in recent weeks but has been able to nail the breakthrough. Fighting hard for the bronze after a tough trip over the AP mile 2 starts back, he can defy the 2nd line here.

CLARES FOOL (1) has hit the board in 8 of his 9 starts on this track and has the gate to utilise his good early speed. He found it a little tough last time out at Albion Park and here 2 starts back he led them up, only to be collared in the latter stages. With the gate he will look the winner at some point, whether he can hang on is the query.

CANNAN (6) resumes from a spell and features in a stable switch to line up for Chloe Butler here. Last seen back in March when closing out in nice order, he can get the cosy trip and be searching for gaps here.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (7) seems to have tapered off somewhat but does find the right type of contest where a bounce back would not surprise. 6m away last start, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (8), CLARES FOOL (1), CANNAN (6), ABERCROMBIE TAB (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGH ON MONTANA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

ITSMEGS (4) has only faced the starter on one occasion here at Marburg when finishing with a placing. Despite some ordinary numbers at her past 2 starts, she can look to get forward here and with the ability to do it tough if required, may have found the race to end a win drought.

SCHEU CREEK (8) started from the 2nd line last time out over the AP mile and worked home soundly to grab the bronze behind the handy 2YO I AM SPARTA. Midfield the start prior over the long 2280m trip at Redcliffe, he can look to get into the battle here to make a challenge on a track where his record shows a top-3 in 10 of 15 appearances.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (1) turned around a string of unplaced efforts with a victory at Redcliffe last time out from the trail. Starting from gate 1 in that contest, he has the gate to look for a repeat.

JOEY LINCOLN (2) was sent to the post as fav from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 runs back and was trying to make a closing play when just coming up short, finishing 1m from the winner. From the gate he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: ITSMEGS (4), SCHEU CREEK (8), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (1), JOEY LINCOLN (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1)
settled in the 1x1 trail last time out when tackling the AP mile and despite the good run in transit could not go with them in the closing stages. Although yet to win here at Marburg, she has placed in 4 of her 8 starts and comes up with the ace for the 1st time.

NIGHT NINJA (8) is a five-time winner here at Marburg including a last start victory when proving too gritty after grinding out a victory from the breeze. Luckless at Redcliffe 3 starts back, if he can secure the right cart into the contest, he can be ready to throw down the challenge.

PEGGY STARDUST (2) started off the 2nd line last time out and was trying to make a closing play when midfield as BEEF CITY STARZZZ found the inside gaps to arrive. With early hustle, she can feature.

DARBY BRIGHTS (6) will be requiring a slice of luck at some point to find some open space as she looks set to be locked down against the markers. If the gaps arrive, she can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1), NIGHT NINJA (8), PEGGY STARDUST (2), DARBY BRIGHTS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Starting from inside the 2nd line last time out proved to be no help for GOSLING IN FLIGHT (4) as he was soon buried in the run and never saw daylight. Hanging tough from the breeze last start here over this trip when holding on for the bronze, he can build on his super record here at Marburg.

CIRCLE LINE (1) has not been that far away from them of late and comes up with a much-improved barrier for this assignment. Working home soundly from the 2nd line last start a super drive to find the leaders back from gate 5 here 2 starts back was punished by a wilting leader. He has the gate to make a challenge.

KAY NORA SHANNON (3) tackled the AP mile last start when closer to the rear from gate 4 as RUNFORTHEROSES took the prize. From this gate she can be in the mix.

AQUA CRUISER (7) made an error early from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back which earned him the ODM embargo. Hitting the line in nice order last time out, he can be making a closing play.

SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (4), CIRCLE LINE (1), KAY NORA SHANNON (3), AQUA CRUISER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (4) to win

RACE NINE

PEBBLE SANDS (1) has now started twice since joining the Greg Elkins barn with both runs at Redcliffe where he has not gained a return. Looking to lead throughout last time out, he was out of bullets when 6m in arrears of the winner. From the gate he gets every chance here.

MEGA STAR (7) will be further tightened from his latest offering when 2nd up from a break. Placed in both runs since resuming, he was only a half-neck away last time after working hard in the run which had followed a 2nd here when working home from the back line. He will be challenging again in this.

ADRENALINE RUSH (8) has a super record on this track with 4 wins in her 6 outings. Down the lien last start, she had worked home well from a wide gate 2 starts back and can be chiming in here.

RUM DELIGHT (6) resumes from a spell and lands the right gate for an easy trip first up. Down the line behind SAINT KILDA BEACH last time out, he can be probing for some gaps to join in.

SELECTIONS: PEBBLE SANDS (1), MEGA STAR (7), ADRENALINE RUSH (8), RUM DELIGHT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PEBBLE SANDS (1) to win
