RACE TWO

JOEY LINCOLN (3) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when finishing down the line after settling at the rear of the pack and never really working into the contest. Starting his career off the back of a smart trial, he has met much tougher opponents and the return to maiden company here looks ideal.

APACHE WHITESOX (5) started in red figures last start at Redcliffe from the pole. Beaten for early speed he popped into the 1x1 trail to avoid being 3 back on the pegs. Looking to make a challenge, he could only chase in vain as FORBIDDEN FEELINGS cleared away to score. With even luck he can threaten.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (9) eased from gate 3 to find position last start and soon found herself a long way back in the pack. Making some late ground, she held 2nd behind the tear-away winner GETALOADATHISGIRL. Trailing through she can chime in.

ILLUMINOSCITY (4) struck trouble in the run 2 starts back that ended her chances and followed that last start with a mid-field effort. Placed in her only look here at The Creek, she is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: JOEY LINCOLN (3), APACHE WHITESOX (5), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (9), ILLUMINOSCITY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JOEY LINCOLN (3) to win

RACE THREE

AWESOME OLLIE (9)
was completely untroubled at his 1st start in Qld when sent straight to the front and dictating terms to the easiest of wins. With a 14m winning margin, he will only take further benefit from the run after being 2nd up in 14 months. This is another step, but he can rise to the task.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (5) had to earn the lamp lighting duties last start from gate 3 when tackling the 2138m trip. Keeping them rolling, he faded under the pressure to be 8m in arrears of the winner. Tough in the breeze the start prior, his chances will be decided if he can find the front.

BLUE SHARD (4) has placed at his past 3 starts in succession, the latest when sent to the post as fav and finishing 1m from the winner ELZBOY. 3rd to BETTATHANIDEAL the start prior, he is right in this.

MYKINDOFFEELING (1) is a 3YO filly on debut by Mr Feelgood out of My Kind Of Girl who has produced 1 previous winner. Trialling in sound order, she can be thereabouts from this gate 1st up.

SELECTIONS: AWESOME OLLIE (9), CHANCELESS CENTURY (5), BLUE SHARD (4), MYKINDOFFEELING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AWESOME OLLIE (9) to win

RACE FOUR

TUAPEKA LIGHT (9)
wasn’t suited last start when resuming from 12 months on the sidelines and finishing down the line. Starting inside the 2nd line, she was soon buried away 4 back as WILL THE WIZARD carved it out in front in a powerful 52.4 mile. In the money at all 7 starts here at The Creek as a 3YO, she can bounce back in this.

GOOD AS IT GETS (8) faces a very sticky gate here, but will only need a rub of the green to see the space required to issue a challenge. With an easy lead last start, he put them to the sword, controlling it with a smart closing 800m over this trip to score by 11m. Just needs the luck.

COBBLER LANE (10) was eased from the gate last start over the Redcliffe 1780m and then was always facing a task to work into the fight. Placed in 2 of his past 4, he can be chiming in here.

ELIZABETHAN ERA (3) was restrained from gate 5 last start as GOOD AS IT GETS took control up front. Trying to chase as the speed went on and the race was busted opened, she chased hard for 3rd. Firing an early shot here gives her podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (9), GOOD AS IT GETS (8), COBBLER LANE (10), ELIZABETHAN ERA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (9) to win

RACE FIVE

LEFT A HURRIKANE (1) has 2 wins in his past 4 starts, with both victories coming when able to lead throughout in each over the mile. Last start he was slammed with gate 10 and with SOHO TSUNAMI taking control in front, the chasers were left doing exactly that. Back to the ace gate, he will take some stitching.

NOTORIUS (2) returned from a spell in the perfect order, scoring a passing lane victory over the mile. Since that win 4 starts back, he has been the runner-up at his past 2 in succession, the latest when finding the front from inside the 2nd line within 500m and then nabbed right on the wire. He can throw down the challenge.

BETTATHANIDEAL (6) had placed in all 3 starts since returning from a break, including successive 3rd placed runs in the heat and final of a Gold Pot Series. He found his race last start when leading throughout and can feature again here.

FEARLESS FAITH (9) was a beaten fav last start when finishing 9m from the in-form THE HUMMER. Forced to race tough over the 2138m, the effort told in the stretch. Look for a bounce back.

SELECTIONS: LEFT A HURRIKANE (1), NOTORIUS (2), BETTATHANIDEAL (6), FEARLESS FAITH (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-9

RACE SIX

JIGGLE AND JIVE (3) has been the track 3 times this prep and has been unable to cash-in for a victory. Returning when making the most costly of errors behind GOVERNOR JUJON, she was then forced to do it the tough way in the G2 Triad Final when 3rd to FOND MEMORIES. Not at all comfortable last start, the return to a front-line gate can see her capitalise.

STREET APPEAL (9) set the tempo last start over the 2138m as a short priced elect and led them deep into the stretch when nabbed on the wire by ROGER THAT. A winner at his previous 3 starts, with 2 of those at this trip. He has been doing it out in front and will face a different challenge from the 2nd line here.

KOTIRO (1) took on a strong mares race last start when easing back to find position and soon found herself a long way back. Despite finishing officially last, it was still a tody effort. In the money at her previous 3 in succession including a mares qualifying victory, the gate is big plus.

THE MONEY BALL (4) started from gate 10 last start over the 2138m in a qualifier. Closing strongly to score a neck victory, it was reward for some tidy efforts. He will be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: JIGGLE AND JIVE (3), STREET APPEAL (9), KOTIRO (1), THE MONEY BALL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JIGGLE AND JIVE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

THE DOORMAN (1) is going a little better than his numbers suggest and with the benefit of moving into pole position can look to frank that. Too far back when the power went on up front last start, he was only 7m from the flying ULTIMATE AD 2 starts back. Over the mile from this gate he can keep them lining up.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (9) will take good benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Easing from gate 6 to find position, he held ground to the line in some smart closing panels behind ROGET THAT. Jammed up with gate 7 at his return, he can trail through early to throw down a challenge.

AT WEST POINT (2) pressed forward from gate 5 last start and was obliged to grind it out in the chair when mid-field behind the dictating winner LIVING GRAND. From the good gate he will be prominent.

THE BIG CHEESE (5) will strip fitter following his 1st up effort when taking on a qualifier last start over the 2138m. Settling in the pocket trail, he was carted out of it and his chances destroyed when the leader hoisted the white flag. He is worth following.

SELECTIONS: THE DOORMAN (1), LUCKY UNLUCKY (9), AT WEST POINT (2), THE BIG CHEESE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THE DOORMAN (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SLICE OF HEAVEN (5) is certainly not lacking in effort despite his ledger reading as winless since July of 2019. His recent runs have been full of merit with his beaten margins at his past 4 reading a neck, 4m, 1.5m and 1m. Doing plenty of work in the run at his past 2 starts, the latest from gate 7, the hoof is well and truly ready to ring the bell.

MIDNIGHT MAN (6) faces a tricky gate here, but he is another that has been in consistent form. Running some nice closing sections last start behind ALWAYS IN COMMAND, he finished runner-up at both previous starts when gunned down late in each. Look for him to challenge once again.

EH EF EL (2) was only 3m from MONTANA CHIEF last start in a strong mile after doing his share of early work to press forward from gate 6. Back in the pack from the 2nd line the start prior, the improved gate is a big plus.

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1) should appreciate finding the peg-line here after being back in the pack at his past 2 starts. Trying to make ground in a strong closing half last start, he will be tucked in close here to feature.

SELECTIONS: SLICE OF HEAVEN (5), MIDNIGHT MAN (6), EH EF EL (2), PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SLICE OF HEAVEN (5) to win
