RACE TWO

SO KOOL MASTER (5) should appreciate this level of contest after campaigning in some tough races in recent outings. He found the tempo too slick last start when down the line behind the electrifying 1.51.0 mile set by MAYWYNS BEST. Easing from gate 4 the start prior, he can overcome the wide gate by virtue of a solid up-front tempo.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (2) claimed a Trot Rods 947m victory here 2 starts back when making the closing shot a winning one. From the 1x1 last start he chased for the bronze behind VANTO HANOVER who set a slick closing 800m in front. Firing the 1st shot, he can look to challenge.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (4) worked in for the trail behind the flying STREET APPEAL last start over the AP mile and chased hard to be 7m in arrears. Fading from the home turn last start, returning to this surface will suit.

BEE GEES BANDIT (6) resumes from a spell without the benefit of a trial. Fading after working hard in the breeze last start, he will take benefit from the outing here and can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: SO KOOL MASTER (5), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (2), COLOMBIAN GOLD (4), BEE GEES BANDIT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SO KOOL MASTER (5) to win

RACE THREE

VALOROSO HANOVER (3)
will take good benefit from his 1st start in Qld when stepping out off the back of a 7 week break between appearances. Having a shot for the lamp lighting duties over the AP 2138m, he couldn’t cross and then his condition gave out. He can get across them early and give them something to chase.

CROWNING GLORY (5) will strip fitter from his latest victory where he was 1st up from a spell. Settling in the 1x1 he finished over the top to claim a 2m victory. He lands the tough gate for the 2nd up assignment, but with even luck in transit he can look for the repeat performance.

ASHKII (4) comes out of the same race as VALOROSO HANOVER where he settled back in the pack from a 2nd line gate. Forced to work the start prior, if he can secure position cheaply, he has podium claims.

DOLLARBILL (1) sat in the pocket trail from this gate last start and wsa left flat chasing as the leader and winner VANTO HANOVER put the power on through the last half. With a cosy trip he won’t be far away

SELECTIONS: VALOROSO HANOVER (3), CROWNING GLORY (5), ASHKII (4), DOLLARBILL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VALOROSO HANOVER (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MISSINMEMATE (2)
has been winless for over 12 months now, but he has shown in recent starts a drought-buster is around the corner. Closing nicely here 3 starts back to get within a head of the winner, he held 3rd in a much stronger contest at his next run. Only 7m from the handy 3YO WHICH HUNT last start, he looks to have found the right contest.

SOULWRITER (1) was snagged back from gate 5 last start and with all the power being set out in front was always acing an uphill battle. Using the passing lane to get within 7m of the winner CC JONES 2 starts back, she can look for the soft trip and be ready to make a passing lane play.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8) held the front prior to releasing over the AP 2138m last start and wasn’t too far away from the in-for THE HUMMER. This looks a suitable target and back to the triangle looks ideal.

TINKA TERROR (3) is one of a trio of Qld debutants for Stephanie Graham and arrives as a last start runner-up when beaten a half-neck at Wagga. With a tidy record, she can be in the mix 1st up.

SELECTIONS: MISSINMEMATE (2), SOULWRITER (1), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8), TINKA TERROR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSINMEMATE (2) to win

RACE FIVE

GWENDALION (7) stepped out in style at her 1st appearance in Qld, finishing over the top of them from a 2nd line gate to end a long winless streak in the process. This is e a marginal step up and she will be requiring some factors in her favour, but with the right rub of the green can go back-to-back.

IFYOUBELIEVE (1) broke through for his 3rd win of the season to go alongside his 18 placings for the term from 27 starts. A model of consistency, he is never far from the action and last start pressed ahead from the 2nd line to take control. With the early speed, he has available options to capitalise.

NIKALONG HENRY (5) has a win and 2 minors in his past 4 starts, the latest when only beaten a neck via the passing lane behind SIXPENNY RED. He can work in the run if needed to feature in this.

CHUMP CHOP (6) is another that has been a model of consistency, finishing in the money at 10 of his past 12 outings. Chasing in vain for 3rd as the leader slipped away last start, the gate is a stinger here.

SELECTIONS: GWENDALION (7), IFYOUBELIEVE (1), NIKALONG HENRY (5), CHUMP CHOP (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GWENDALION (7) to win

RACE SIX

SIXPENNY RED (4) took on a similar race here last start where from gate 3 she was sent forward and pressed on to take control. Keeping the tempo on throughout, she held on to claim a half-neck victory. 3rd up from a break in that, she will be further tightened and can look to go back-to-back.

DANCINGINTHEDARK (3) makes her Qld debut for Team Graham and arrives with a win and 3 placings in 11 career starts. Finding the pocket trail over the Wagga 1740m last start she chased hard to hold the bronze when 8m from the winner. From the gate she stays under notice here 1st up.

WECANONLYHOPE (1) lands the gate to suit her pattern and with an economical trip will be ready to take the closing shot. A winner here 3 starts back via the passing lane, she will be ready to strike.

PATCHWORK JET (7) struck trouble last start that saw him retired from the contest as the race fav. Trying to work into it from gate 6 the start prior, he will be probing for some space to offer.

SELECTIONS: SIXPENNY RED (4), DANCINGINTHEDARK (3), WECANONLYHOPE (1), PATCHWORK JET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-7

RACE SEVEN

DONNY JONES (3)
looks to have secured the right conditions here and from the good alley can look to make use of his early speed. From the pocket trail he used the passing lane to grab the silver behind CROWNING GLORY 2 starts back and then last start was gunned down over the AP 2138m. Appreciating this line-up, he looks to get every chance.

KAY NORA SHANNON (4) secured the prefect trip in the pocket trail last start when returning from a spell, taking on a mares event. Peeling out in the stretch to challenge, she was within 1.5m of the winner JEWEL OF PEAK in holding on for the silver. In the money at 7 from 12 here at the track, she can loom.

SONNY ORLANDO (7) lands a good gate for his 1st up assignment, returning from a spell in this. Last seen over the AP 2138m when down the line, he will get the economical trip and be ready to offer late.

WAVEDANCER (2) might not have the best numbers yet his performances probably don’t really match the number result. Not too far away last start, if he can limit the burn, he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: DONNY JONES (3), KAY NORA SHANNON (4), SONNY ORLANDO (7), WAVEDANCER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DONNY JONES (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAN FROM BRAAVOS (8) has been to the track twice since arriving in Qld with Ron Sallis, the latest a mid-field finish after pressing forward from gate 5 to settle near the pointy end. In for the fight over the AP mile, he was 9m in arrears of the winner TIMELESS APPEAL. There looks a good tempo which should suit him late.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6) sat back in the pack from gate 4 last start when sent to the post an even money fav. With the tempo controlled by the leader, those chasing were always facing a task. Beaten by gate 7 over the AP 2138m the start prior, he can look to work home late to challenge.

SIR MACS MAN (1) is the 3rd runner 1st up for the Steph Graham stable and arrived after a last start down the line performance at Newcastle. Winless since Nov 2018, he hasn’t been too far away in recent starts and stays under notice from the gate.

JEWEL OF PEAK (3) went straight to the front over the sprint trip in a mares only race 2 starts back and was never in danger once in control. Backing up from Thurs where she was chasing from back in the pack with the tempo against her, the early heat in this will determine her chances.

SELECTIONS: MAN FROM BRAAVOS (8), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6), SIR MACS MAN (1), JEWEL OF PEAK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAN FROM BRAAVOS (8) to win

RACE NINE

GO ANNE GO (3) features in a stable switch and lines up for the 1st time with Gary Gerrard. With a reputation as an equine ladies man, Gerrard has a great record with transforming mares to fulfil their abilities. Leading them up last start from gate 2, she was sliced down in the stretch by MOONLIGHT BUTCHER. Placed in 4 of 9 here at the triangle, she can breakthrough.

MALIBU DREAM (2) will take good benefit from her latest start when returning from a break. Doing some early work prior to easing for a trail, she wasn’t too far away in a race a trifle stronger than what she meets here. Limiting the early work, she can look to throw down the challenge.

DOOLITTLE DANDY (4) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and probing for openings when down the line behind ALL GOOD WALLY. A return to the front line is a plus and he has claims.

SOPHIES PRIDE (1) will be 1st up for the Jonah Hutchinson stable and will take some further benefit from her latest start when 2nd up from a spell. With the benefit of the ace, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GO ANNE GO (3), MALIBU DREAM (2), DOOLITTLE DANDY (4), SOPHIES PRIDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-4

RACE TEN

PEGGY STARDUST (4) went to the front from gate 2 last start over the sprint trip and looked to take them all the way. After a steady opening half, they dialled up the tempo, yet she was unable to put them away and faded out. In the money at her previous 7 in succession, she can bounce back here.

ITMIGHTBEYOU (1) went 40 starts without success, but has quickly gone back-to back scoring successive wins with Zac Chappenden in the bike. Leading throughout 2 starts back, she was game in fighting hard to score form the breeze last time. From the gate, a threepeat is well within reach.

IM SANDY BAY (6) found the running line from this gate last start and was keen in transit when mid-field behind the big winner GETALOADATHISGIRL. Always a risk, she can feature in this line-up.

NEVASANO (7) resumes from a break after being put away back in January after finishing down the line. This gate appeals 1st up and with a cosy trip, can be looking to chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: PEGGY STARDUST (4), ITMIGHTBEYOU (1), IM SANDY BAY (6), NEVASANO (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
