RACE TWO

PUMA ROAD (7) found the ideal conditions last start and finds nearly the same set-up once again here. Starting from the 10m over this trip, he was allowed to balance up before pressing on to take control and once in front cruised home to a 7m victory. A similar trip can produce a similar result.

VAN SANK (11) will take great benefit from his return to the track here last week when 1st up since the McNeil Final back ion March. Safely away from the 30m tape, he started to make his run at the 400m and worked home in good order for the silver behind PUMA ROAD. He will throw it down.

CHASING GREAT (8) has been in consistent touch placing 3rd at 4 of his past 5 outings. Working home from the 20m tape last start when 9m from PUMA ROAD, he can be chiming in late again here.

HATTIE (3) was having her first start in Qld off he back of a spell when tackling the Redcliffe 2280m from a 40m handicap. Locked against the poles when the runs came, she was able to grab 3rd. Settling closer she is in calculations.

SELECTIONS: PUMA ROAD (7), VAN SANK (11), CHASING GREAT (8), HATTIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PUMA ROAD (7) to win

RACE THREE

Lining up for a hat-trick of Redcliffe victories at her last appearance, SHEZ GOT BLING (5) looked to have secured the perfect run in the trail. Aiming up for the passing lane, she could repel the closing charge of GWENDALION and had to settle for the silver. A head away here 5 runs back, she can arrive.

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (7) lands the ODM tag after making a mess of the start over the Redcliffe sprint trip last time out. Only 4m in arrears the start prior after looming up following a sustained run to work into the contest as SHEZ GOT BLING arrived, she can look issue a closing challenge here.

THATS FUNNY (2) is still searching for what seems an elusive 2nd win but with placings in 3 of her past 4 starts, it does appear to be getting closer. Limiting the burn in transit here should suit after wide gates have not helped in recent outings.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (3) was sent around the field in the early stages from the 2nd line 2 runs back and after working hard in the run, was game when only a head away. He might need to grind it out again here.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (5), MIDNIGHT QUEEN (7), THATS FUNNY (2), MELTON MAX GENTLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Another claimer where the early tempo looks solid, and the winner will likely come from the horse able to get the best trip. SABRAGE (4) looks to meet that profile, the 8YO in great touch in these claiming events with wins at 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest when opening in a sizzling 26.3 and fighting them off late in holding on. He can go back-to-back.

DREAM TO SHARE (6) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when snagging back from the gate to avoid the early fireworks before making a spirited closing challenge. Only a head from the winner when attacking the line with power, he will retreat early again and be charging late.

FEEL THE REIGN (1) tried to take them all the way over the 2138m here 2 starts back but could not see it out when closer to the rear. Taking the trail at the mile last start when 4m from SABRAGE, he has the alley to feature.

KINGOFTHESTARS (5) had the early hustle to light the lamps here on Saturday night over the 2138m trip in veterans grade, only fading the closing stages when 3m from the winner. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (4), DREAM TO SHARE (6), FEEL THE REIGN (1), KINGOFTHESTARS (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (5) fitter following his latest appearance when resuming from a let up, he was able to finish in 4th behind the big winner UNCLE SHANK. Not too far away from CHAMONIX 2 starts back, his recent outings have been in stronger company and in this grade, he looks to get his chance to make a play.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) released the speed after taking control early last time out at the 2138m but never really looked a threat when midfield. Grabbed in the closing strides here 3 starts back he made an error at his next start. Back to the mile, he can look to show the hustle to challenge.

LANCELOT BROMAC (9) can offer more 113 more individual starts than the rest of the field combined here and should appreciate the run he receives from this alley. Look for him joining in late.

HAPPY PUBLICANS (3) changes stables to link with the Vicki Rasmussen barn. Making an error last start, he has been to the trials to earn the return and stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (5), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), LANCELOT BROMAC (9), HAPPY PUBLICANS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (5) to win

RACE SIX

Making the trip to Qld with his stablemate COPY THAT the 4YO TOMMY LINCOLN (3) can boast a defeat of his more highly profiled barn pal last December. Stepping out for his 1st appearance, he arrives following a midfield finish in the 4YO Jewels when 13m from the winner SOUTH COAST ARDEN and with form behind the likes of AMAZING DREAM and SPANKEM, he gets his chance.

THE HERVEY BAY (4) will take good benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell, tackling the Redcliffe 2040m trip. Pressing on to take control, he scored a smart win from the front. Hitting the board in 6 of his 7 starts here at The Creek, he will look to throw down a challenge.

RANGER BOMB (7) makes a return to Qld after a Summer campaign where he placed twice to go alongside a pair of wins in just 4 outings. First up since the G2 Hondo Grattan behind ZEUSS BROMAC, the gate stings.

ALWAYS A SECRET (6) pressed forward from gate 7 last start when 2nd up from a spell and finding the front over the 2138m was trying to fight them off. Fitter again, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TOMMY LINCOLN (3), THE HERVEY BAY (4), RANGER BOMB (7), ALWAYS A SECRET (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TOMMY LINCOLN (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

MOREAU DRIVE (10)
will take some increased benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Eased from gate 6 to secure position, she never really got warm as BOMBADIER JUJON controlled it in front. With some good early heat, look for her making a closing play.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (7) faces a stiff gate out wide here, but finds the right type of contest to throw down the challenge. Buried here on Sat night from inside the 2nd line as SCARLET BABE charged home to score, he worked into it late here last week after being buried. Can make a play here.

LEFT A TERROR (8) will need a slice of luck at some stage from this alley to find some open space, yet if it arrives in time, he comes into calculations. Game in holding 3rd from the death last start, he will be probing.

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (5) was sent forward over the 2138m last time out before taking the trail and finishing midfield to THE ANNOUNCER. With early bullets, the mile should suit.

SELECTIONS: MOREAU DRIVE (10), COURAGEOUS SAINT (7), LEFT A TERROR (8), SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MOREAU DRIVE (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

CANSTAR (12)
has been to the track twice since arriving in Qld at the stables of Lachie Manzelmann. Sent to the post as the fav last time out, she was wide the entire trip when down the line in a strong mile. This is a slight rise in grade, but with the right cart home, this looks the type of race for her to open the account.

STOKER ACE (1) will be having just his 2nd run over the middle trip and will also be 2nd up from a spell to tackle this contest. Taking the trail from this gate when resuming, he held on for the silver as MAJOR LESTER controlled it in front. With the option of the cosy trip, he can look for the closing shot.

IDEAL INVESTMENT (6) eased to the pegs last time out and with the economical trip in behind the speed was only 4m from the winner GENERAL MONTANA. With added fitness he is right in this.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (4) has shown an appreciation for this trip and last start was strong in the latter stages for the bronze behind the in-form THE ROCKNROLL KING. Limiting the burn will be key to her hopes.

SELECTIONS: CANSTAR (12), STOKER ACE (1), IDEAL INVESTMENT (6), SHEZ ALL STYLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Putting out some classic hits since arriving in Qld stables of Jack Butler, THE ROCKNROLL KING (1) looks to have found the gate for another chart-topping success. Winning from a seemingly impossible position 2 starts back, he was sent forward early last week and finding some cover then finished over the top of them. The gate may pose a question, but he looks to have the answers.

AMERCIAN DEALER (9) is a talented three-year-old that has made the trip across the Tasman with Ray Green and brings a smart record with him. Midfield in the Emerald Jewels last start behind B D JOE, the start prior he was within 6m of AMAZING DREAM at Auckland. With the right trip, he can make a serious play.

ILIKEMEBETTOR (3) arrives with a slick record that shows a top-3 in 11 of his 14 outings. Last seen when finishing just 2m from SEND IT in the 2300m NSW Regional Final, it followed a 3rd in the Metro Final of that same series. He is right in the fight.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (12) has 2 wins in his past 3 starts with both wins coming when able to set the speed. Holding on to claims a strong 3m win last time, he can be working home late here.

SELECTIONS: THE ROCKNROLL KING (1), AMERCIAN DEALER (9), ILIKEMEBETTOR (3), ANOTHER STATEMENT (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Arriving with the Team McCarthy juggernaut, THE GENERAL (2) arrives with a last start 6th over the Menangle 2300m when 6m in arrears of RONALDO. Only 5m from ALWAYS ROCKIN the start prior, he has the authority to be in the battle early and looks to get his chance to give the orders.

RAANI (1) tackled a mare’s qualifier last time out and was asked to work hard in the early stages before receiving cover. Unable to go with them in the latter stages as the airborne SCARLET BABE took the prize, it had followed a strong finish when charging home from the 2nd line. She can strike late.

BITCOIN (6) has been thereabouts since arriving in Qld, hitting the board in 5 of his 7 here at The Creek that includes a pair of wins. A passing lane 3rd last start, he can feature here.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10) has a tough gate to negotiate but if able to secure running line position cheaply can be making a closing play. Midfield to CRUNCH TIME who did it all in front last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: THE GENERAL (2), RAANI (1), BITCOIN (6), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-10
