RACE TWO

The first of a pair of 2YO events on the card with this for the maiden performers. BEACH MAGIC (2) has placed in both career starts to date, the latest when asked to do it the tough way when sitting parked. In for the fight when 5m from the winner ZARAS DELIGHT, he can look to capitalise here.

FUTURE ASSURED (3) was returning from a freshen here last week when retreating early from gate 7 to find position. Asked for the effort over the latter stages, he let down nicely to grab the bronze, running a smart closing panel. He has been no closer than gate 6 in 4 career starts and in tight here will throw it down.

SHADYS CULLECT (5) has placed in 4 of his 6 career starts as she searches for the account opener. Pinching the bronze behind the big winner CAT KING COLE in the Breeders last start, she can feature.

BEACH ON FIRE (6) eased to the pegs last start at Redcliffe and with the economical trip grabbed 3rd. That was his 1st placing following 5 starts and despite the wide gate can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BEACH MAGIC (2), FUTURE ASSURED (3), SHADYS CULLECT (5), BEACH ON FIRE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

There are some smart 2YOs lining up to do battle here and a few of these will likely feature in the QBRED Triad G1 on July 24. Taking on the older horses last start, MISTY CREEK (1) was able to score a comfortable win from the front at Redcliffe. 3rd to DANGERZONE the start prior, he comes up trumps from the alley.

SPEAK THE TRUTH (3) has hit the board in all 3 career starts and this will be his best gate to date. Finding the 1x1 trail last time out, he had the bullets to fire in the stretch when arriving to break the maiden tag with a 2m victory. Closing hard 2 starts back behind AWAYWEGO, he can throw it down.

ARNOLD STREET (4) has ben kept fresh since the Breeders Classic Final back in mid-May where his chances expired with an early error. A smart winner 3rd up, he has been tuned up the trials and has claims.

GOTTA GO MILKING (7) was given a freshen after his fast-finishing 4th in the Breeders Classic Final and returned with a strong Redcliffe victory. The gate hurts but he seems to be working it all out.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (1), SPEAK THE TRUTH (3), ARNOLD STREET (4), GOTTA GO MILKING (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTY CREEK (1) to win

RACE FOUR

PRINCESS FAITH (9)
has started to find her racing rhythm after a period where her manners were letting her down. Shooting for a hat-trick of victories here following a win from a 40m impost and then a win from the mobile, she can look to secure a cart into the contest to finish over the top.

AVEROSS DON (6) has been given a freshen since his last appearance when making an error and trailing them in. 2 starts back he was angled to the pegs and pinned down made some late metres behind JANSSON. His run 3 back was a nice effort, and he can make a challenge in this.

THE REAPER (5) was locked away against the markers last start and when sighting the gaps was strong to the line in grabbing 3rd behind CHASING GREAT. He can be chiming in again here.

STEVES STAR (3) starts 20m ahead of the main pack and can look to put that buffer to advantage. Midfield last start behind PUMA ROAD, she was near the front end 2 starts back and can feature.

SELECTIONS: PRINCESS FAITH (9), AVEROSS DON (6), THE REAPER (5), STEVES STAR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PRINCESS FAITH (9) to win

RACE FIVE

SABRAGE (2) has been first or third at his past six outings, bringing home three of each in alternate order. Looking to take them all the way last start over the mile, he was grabbed in the closing stages to finish with the bronze. With the early hustle to avail the options, he will be right there.

CHANTREY (4) had to do it the tough way last start over the mile when forced to roll the sleeves and grind away in the death chair. In for the fight, he had the grit to put them away and claim the prize. The step up to the middle-distance will be no issue and he will again be duking it out in the stretch.

DREAM TO SHARE (8) is moving closer to a victory after finishing as the runner-up at his past 3 in succession. He did not get the smoothest passage home last start and with the early options can feature.

MIDNIGHT MAN (5) was snagged back from gate 7 to secure position last start and was fighting the driver for a good portion. Not that far away at the finish, he can be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (2), CHANTREY (4), DREAM TO SHARE (8), MIDNIGHT MAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE (2) to win

RACE SIX

With 3 starts in the current Qld campaign for BLACK HAWK JOE (2), he is yet to hit the board but there are certainly plausible excuses for the last 2 of those. It just did not go to plan at all last start over the 2138m and the start prior when deep into the red, just appeared to be no fan of Redcliffe. Back to the mile from the good alley, he can bounce back.

LUVHAVINFUN (1) started from the 2nd line last start over the 2138m and was making some late ground when 6m in arrears of the winner ITZ MAJOR RICH. Eating into the deficit from back in the pack the start prior to grab the silver, she can get the cosy trip here and be ready to strike.

THE ROCKNROLL KING (8) will need a slice of luck at some stage from this alley to find some open road. Best of the chasers from the pocket trail behind ILIKEMEBETTOR last start when shooting for the hat-trick, he will be probing here.

DIVINIA BELLEZZA (3) has been kept fresh since her 2nd start in Qld back on June 2 when runner-up to the airborne SHES MISS DEVINE. 5m away when resuming, she can chime in late in this.

SELECTIONS: BLACK HAWK JOE (2), LUVHAVINFUN (1), THE ROCKNROLL KING (8), DIVINIA BELLEZZA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE SEVEN

IDEAL INVESTMENT (9)
eased from gate 6 over the 2138m last time out to secure position and soon found himself back in the pack with it all to do. Making a sustained run, he loomed up in the stretch and it was only an amazing performance from MULLUM FLO that denied him. He can go one better.

THIS ONES FOR YOU (1) returns from a spell and returns to the barn of Jack Butler after a NSW campaign last season. A winner here on debut as a 2YO in fine style, she was a last start Newcastle winner when taking them all the way over the mile. Tuned up with 3 preparatory trials, she has the gate to challenge.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (2) found the pocket trail last start from gate 5 when finishing 4m in arrears of the swooping winner COULDNTMISAFALCON. With early speed he can take a shot here to feature.

QUICK STEP (10) was looking to make it 4 on the bounce last start when doing some early work over the 2280m at Redcliffe and unable to finish it off. With a cart into the contest, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL INVESTMENT (9), THIS ONES FOR YOU (1), AYE AYE CAPTAIN (2), QUICK STEP (10)
SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL INVESTMENT (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

MISTER DIAMOND (1)
secured early position and then as the field settled was shuffled back. Strong to the line behind THE ROCKNROLL KING, it followed a down the line effort over this trip after working early. An eye-catcher here 3 starts back, he comes up with the gate to overcome the win drought.

KING OF TRUMPS (8) was sent to the breeze over the Redcliffe 2040m last time out and with a steady opening half of the last mile had bullets to fire in the closing stages. Claiming a 3m victory with a slippery last panel, he looks set for the cosy trip and can be ready to strike in the stretch.

MULLUM FLO (6) was huge in victory last week, with her chances looking forlorn after making an early error. Weaving a passage, she was attacking the line and arrived in the closing stages for the prize. Despite the ODM embargo, she cannot be overlooked.

CARLOS BROMAC (5) makes his Aus debut for Belinda McCarthy, arriving with 3 wins and 7 minors to his name in 24 outings in the South of NZ. Trialling behind the talented 3YO ALADDIN in readiness for his return, he stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DIAMOND (1), KING OF TRUMPS (8), MULLUM FLO (6), CARLOS BROMAC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DIAMOND (1) to win

RACE NINE

GAME SET MAJOR (6) was resuming from a spell in the Patrons Purse at Redcliffe when he was set forward to the chair from the wide gate in the early stages. Retired from the race, he has been back to the trials with a sound hit out. Back to the big oval will help and he can return serve here.

ALWAYS A SECRET (5) was 3rd up from a spell here last week when sent forward to the breeze. With the leader and winner TOMMY LINCOLN carving out a slick mile, he was valiant in holding on for the bronze. He can settle near the action again to make his challenge.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (3) settled in the pack from the 2nd line here on Friday and was not too far from the winner BOMBADIER JUJON. From the gate he can be close enough to join in.

JUST ROKIN (1) was buried away from inside the 2nd line here on Friday and was searching for a way clear when 6m from the winner. With early hustle, she has the options to feature.

SELECTIONS: GAME SET MAJOR (6), ALWAYS A SECRET (5), TACTICAL RESPONSE (3), JUST ROKIN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GAME SET MAJOR (6) to win

RACE TEN

A tricky little event to end the day where the 2138m adds another level of intrigue with a few of these not seemingly suited at the trip. OAXACAN DREAM (5) has placed in her only attempt over the 2138m, and it was a grinding effort when parked and only a half-neck in arrears. Fitter from 2 runs back, she can take this.

ADAM CROCKER (8) has stamped himself as a speed horse since arriving in Qld so the step up to the middle-distance certainly has an air of caution to apply. Forced to work hard as CRUCNH TIME carved out a big mile last start, it followed his Trot Rods blitz. Will a cosy trip suit?

ANOTHER STATEMENT (1) has placed in 3 of his 6 runs over this trip and gets the bonus advantage of the options form this gate. Not suited off the 2nd line last start, he can bounce back here.

KANYE CRUSADER (7) was angled to the pegs last start over the sprint trip when tackling a Band 5 event and closed soundly for the bronze behind ROCKNROLL CLASSIC. The gate stings but he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: OAXACAN DREAM (5), ADAM CROCKER (8), ANOTHER STATEMENT (1), KANYE CRUSADER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OAXACAN DREAM (5) to win
