RACE ONE

Beaten by the gate in the Breeders Classic after starting from inside the second line, BANGKOK DEEJAY (5) was soon hemmed away and out of play as SPEAK THE TRUTH scored a dictating victory. Strong in victory when resuming from a spell two starts back, this looks right for him to bounce back.

TIMZEE (6) has not missed the board in three appearances here in Qld, the latest when grabbing the bronze from the second line after being sent out as the fav. Grabbing 3rd in a final behind the airborne SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE two starts back, the conditions of this contest suitable.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1) has placed at her past four in succession, the latest when trying to lead throughout, with only WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH able to get past. From the gate she can give cheek.

MISTY CREEK (8) took the trail on SPEAK THE TRUTH last start and then tried to make a closing raid in the stretch when grabbing 3rd. With the cosy trip, if he can get space with momentum, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK DEEJAY (5), TIMZEE (6), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1), MISTY CREEK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BANGKOK DEEJAY (5) to win

RACE TWO

The front line in this race is flush with speed off the arm and the opening 600m looks set to be frenetic. MAJOR JELLIS (6) steps out in Qld for the first time off the back of two runs in Menangle since crossing the Tasman. Under 2m in arrears of the winner LOORIM LAKE last start, he can strike.

ADAM CROCKER (10) tackled the Final of a similar series here last start where he was sent forward to lead from gate 5 but could not repel the stretch challenge of UNCLE SHANK. Completing a hattrick of dictating wins the start prior, he will need to be chasing to issue a challenge.

KASHED UP (7) was obliged to roll the sleeves and do the heavy lifting last start and was game in defeat when 3rd to CALL ME KEITH after sitting parked. The gate stings again, but he can chime in.

CALL ME KEITH (4) made the most of the gate advantage here last time out, taking control and then dictating thereafter to claim a new career PB. The early speed inside and out might be of concern.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR JELLIS (6), ADAM CROCKER (10), KASHED UP (7), CALL ME KEITH (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR JELLIS (6) to win

RACE THREE

Appreciating the claiming conditions last start when second up in Qld, LOORIM CREEKK (10) finds the same type of race again here. Firing out to lead from gate 6 and take them all the way in that contest, he can overcome the gate to make it two on the run.

BLUE MOON RISING (1) drops back into the claiming ranks and comes up with the ideal gate for his pattern after he was buried and not really given much luck last time out. At his best when saved for a closing attack, he should be tucked in behind the speed here and ready to challenge.

ARTHUR LOWE (5) was not suited last start from inside the second line at Marburg and could not get warm in the latter stages. With early speed, he can fire some early bullets here to feature.

BEAU CISHLOM (9) sat in the trail in a strong Sat night contest last start and could not hold onto some place money when finishing 4th. Back to this grade, he can be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: LOORIM CREEKK (10), BLUE MOON RISING (1), ARTHUR LOWE (5), BEAU CISHLOM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LOORIM CREEKK (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Stripping fitter following his last start when resuming from a spell, STUN GUN (3) has the gate to look put some early power into the contest. Runner-up in a 947m Trot Rods scamper when resuming, he chased home behind FLO RYDA. An all the way winner here last prep, he can capitalise.

SAGINAW (7) was sent forward to sit parked last time out from this gate and was trying to fight on when holding 3rd behind COPPERFIELD. Just a neck away here two starts back, there looks enough tempo for him to come with one run, which can see him throw down the challenge.

COPPERFIELD (10) doe not receive any favours drawn out the back, but a solid tempo will aid the cause. Making the most of the chance to control the tempo last start, he is in the mix once again.

JACKS N JAZZ (6) was a winner here two starts back when starting from the second line and finishing over the top of them for a tidy victory. Doing some early work last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: STUN GUN (3), SAGINAW (7), COPPERFIELD (10), JACKS N JAZZ (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

OUTA THE BLUE (3) will strip fitter from her latest offering where she was resuming from a spell. Wide off the track from gate 6, she was chasing hard as the fit and in-form RAANI claimed the prize. With early speed, she can get handy to the action and look to cash-in second up.

SO AM I (7) is given no favours from the outside paint but with even luck in transit, this would not be out of reach. Buried three back on the poles last start, he was just 4m from the winner COPPERFIELD and three starts back he was grabbed in the closing stages by SAGINAW.

JAGGERS SWAGGER (1) has been midfield in three runs back from a spell, two of those when drawn on the second line. Tucked in behind the speed here, he has podium claims.

LANOCH BOY (9) is winless in nine attempts here on the big deck but heads to town with handy form on The Triangle. Just 4m in arrears last start, he won two of his previous three and can feature again.

SELECTIONS: OUTA THE BLUE (3), SO AM I (7), JAGGERS SWAGGER (1), LANOCH BOY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: OUTA THE BLUE (3) to win

RACE SIX

Taking on much more experienced rivals last start when debuting for the Nathan Dawson stable, TEE RAVELLING (6) went into the contest off the back of a smart trial. Facing the 2138 for the first time and being first up, he wilted in the latter stages. Despite the gate, back to the mile looks ideal.

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (3) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out in a mare’s qualifier when making some closing metres to grab the silver behind BAKER CREEK. The 2138m was out of reach here two starts back and from this gate she can look to get handy to issue the challenge.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (4) was snagged to the poles from gate 4 last start and from deep in the pack never saw a clear passage. Runner up to GIRL FROM OZ three starts back, look for her swooping late.

FIREHOUSE (1) lands his best gate for some time, his past two have been from inside the second line where he has been hemmed away on each occasion. With the early options, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TEE RAVELLING (6), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (3), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (4), FIREHOUSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TEE RAVELLING (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

In a race of many chances, it might just be the right conditions for SHEZ GOT BLING (3) to claim her first win of the 2022 season. Striking trouble that ended her hopes last start, she struck trouble the start prior yet was still just 5m in arrears. Tucking in cheaply, she can arrive.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (8) would have looked a good thing if drawing anywhere on the front line, but an inside second row alley certainly makes it tougher. Grabbed late after setting the speed last time from gate 7, RACY ROXY collared him two starts back. He will be probing.

BONNIES DANCE (10) is a 3YO A Rocknroll Dance filly on debut for Grant Dixon that has trialled in nice order in readiness for her maiden appearance. The gate does her no favours first up.

WONDERWOMAN JUJON (6) tackled the 3YO fillies Breeders Consolation last start at the 2138m where she was down the line. Just 5m from LEANDER the start prior, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (3), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (8), BONNIES DANCE (10), WONDERWOMAN JUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Tailor-made for the Trot Rods format, IM LOKI (9) pressed on from a wide gate last start at Redcliffe over the 947m scamper and just kept rolling to take a 13m victory. Runner-up in both previous starts, he would be better suited off the front line, but he can keep running here.

SCHOOBY (4) is riding the crest of a career high, completing six wins in succession last time out with his first ever win here at HQ when leading throughout from gate 1 and setting a new PB with the victory. His handful of previous wins were all at Redcliffe and with the gate, seven is achievable.

JOEY LINCOLN (2) broke a win drought last start when overcoming gate 7 after easing back in the early stages and then powering up down the outside. With early hustle, he can fire the first shot.

WHERES TASCOTT (1) was beaten at Redcliffe last start over the 2040m trip in a slogging go which followed a 3rd here to WHATABOYJACK. With the benefit of the inside gate, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: IM LOKI (9), SCHOOBY (4), JOEY LINCOLN (2), WHERES TASCOTT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: IM LOKI (9) to win

RACE TEN

Without a win since September and yet to open an account here at The Creek, ABBEY DIADEMA (1) has found the gate and conditions to rectify both gaps. Making nice metres in the closing stages last start, she chased behind the flying SCHOOBY two back, with the gate a huge asset here.

LEFT IN THE WIND (8) can show just the solitary placing in her 11 appearances here on the big deck, that coming last start where she was obliged to do it the tough way outside the leader. Grafting to the wire to be just 3m in arrears, she swooped three starts back to score and will be stalking here.

LITTLEDEE (5) has hit the board at her past five in succession which includes a Redcliffe win three starts back when charging home from deep in the pack. Game in defeat last start, she is a place hope.

JET FORCE (9) held the pocket trail from gate 1 here two starts back and when angled into open space, attacked the line strongly to claim a tidy win. Buried last start, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: ABBEY DIADEMA (1), LEFT IN THE WIND (8), LITTLEDEE (5), JET FORCE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ABBEY DIADEMA (1) to win
