The progeny of first season sires Huntsville, Lennytheshark and A Good Chance will be showcased at the Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale to be held at Redcliffe Paceway on Sunday, March 28.

The frozen semen stallions Fear The Dragon and Centurion ATM will also have their first progeny go up to auction.

In all, there are five pacing and trotting sires to be represented by their first crop at the sale.

Huntsville -  a $1.7million winning son of the great Somebeachsomewhere and a member of the Empire Stallions’ frozen semen roster - was the USA 2YO Colt of the Year in 2016 and numbered the Breeders Crown, Meadowlands Pace and Cane Pace among his list of successes.

Lennytheshark -  the 2016 Horse of the Year and Inter Dominion and Miracle Mile hero - was a true champion of champions.

He won eight Group 1 races, winning in town hall company from two to eight years, and amassed a record $3 million in stakes.

A son of Mr Feelgood, A Good Chance was a Group winner at two and three and, in all, won 25 races and $268,192 in stakes and took a record of 1:50.2.

Fear The Dragon, whose semen is available through Yirribee Pacing Stud, won 12 races and $1.3 million as a three-year-old including the North America Cup, Adios Stake and Tattersall’s Pace and was one of the top colts of his year.

A member of the dominant Star’s Pride sire line, Centurion ATM was a brilliant young trotter with a record of 1:53.4 at two at which age he captured the prestigious Peter Haughton Memorial and Johns Simpson Memorial.

Burwood Stud’s leading sire, Changeover, has the largest representation at the sale with 13 lots - 10 colts and three fillies.

There are 29 different sires with progeny including established horses such as Art Major, Rock N Roll Heaven, Mr Feelgood, Sportswriter, Roll With Joe, A Rocknroll Dance, For A Reason, Gotta Go Cullect, Tintin In America, Cammibest, Auckland Reactor and Hurrikane Kingcole and emerging, young sires including Sweet Lou, Betting Line, He’s Watching, Warrawee Needy, Bling It On, Follow The Stars and Guaranteed.
