RACE TWO

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8) is in the zone with a hat-trick of wins against her own sex completed here last start when powering home in front to an easy victory. That followed a slippery victory at Menangle when leading throughout. She will need to chase here but likely to secure the pocket trail, she will be coiled and ready to strike.

ROYAL AURORA (1) will strip fitter from his latest offering when 1st up since last August. Tackling a Band 5 at the mile, he was sent to the front from gate 3 and led every stride bar the one that counted when beaten a head. A Menangle winner at his last start of his previous campaign, he can look to fight them off.

SHANNONSTHEMAN (10) made a successful Qld debut here last week when scoring over this trip to claim a qualifier as a red figure fav. The gate is not ideal here, but with even luck, he has podium claims.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (5) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and searching for the openings was out and chasing as IDEAL WORLD powered home. He can roll the sleeves here to make a podium play.

SELECTIONS: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8), ROYA AURORA (1), SHANNONSTHEMAN (10), TACTICAL RESPONSE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8) to win

RACE THREE

LARRY LINCOLN (1)
shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile and lands the perfect alley again at the sprint. From this gate last start, he took the trail before making the closing shot a winner. Working home down the centre of the track to score a qualifying win 2 starts back, if he maintains momentum, the threepeat is within reach.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (3) made the most of gate 1 here last week when holding them wide and then taking them all the way to land the loot. That followed a smart win mid-week when settled at the rear of the pack before charging home wide off the track to stylish win. With early hustle, he can throw it down.

OUR WALL STREET WOLF (7) joins the premiership leading stable of Jack Butler and has been freshened since his last appearance back on January 16. A 1.50.6 winner at Menangle 2 starts back, the gate stings first up.

SPEEDY DOMINIC (4) started from the 2nd line last start and was wide off the track when attacking the line to grab the silver behind IDEAL WORLD. He can press forward to make his play in this.

SELECTIONS: LARRY LINCOLN (1), MAYWYNS COURAGE (3), OUR WALL STREET WOLF (7), SPEEDY DOMINIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LARRY LINCOLN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ALADDIN SANE (14) can do plenty wrong but when he does get it right, he has oodles of ability. A strong winner from the breeze 3 runs back, he was back in the pack and closing soundly in the first heat as UNKNOWN SON claimed the win. Making a mistake at release last start, he chased gamely to progress through to this final. He comes with some risk, but a risk worth taking.

ORLANDO JOLT (13) will be looking to make a sweep of the series after charging home from his 20m tape to claim the prize in both heats. Charging late to be a half-neck winner last start, it followed an impressive first round victory when positing a 10m winning margin. He will be winding up to throw down his challenge.

VAN SANK (7) should probably be coming into the final with a pair of heat wins but he threw it away when out in front in the first round. Atoning with a faultless display in the second round, he can feature.

UNKNOWN SON (3) was a round 1 heat winner when settling in the running line and then finishing best to claim a smart win. Grabbed late in the closing strides from the pocket trail by ORLANDO JOLT in round 2, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ALADDIN SANE (14), ORLANDO JOLT (13), VAN SANK (7), UNKNOWN SON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALADDIN SANE (14) to win

RACE FIVE

ETERNAL PROMISE (1)
held the pocket trail from this gate last start as ROCKNROLL PROMISE moved to the front and controlled the race and she was able to hold on for the bronze. Beaten in a small field tactical battle when in single file behind MISS RUBY SUNSHINE 2 runs back, she looks to get the perfect trip here and back to mares and the mile is ready to strike.

COOL AND CALCULATING (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was locked away and searching for a way clear. Within 2m of the winner NIMAH FRANCO, she could have won if not stuck looking for a way clear. Grabbed in the last stride after a tough trip here 2 starts back, she has been in the quinella at all 6 of her runs here at The Creek and can add to that in this.

BLUE IVY (5) held the pocket trail from the ace last start and using the passing lane made the closing shot a winner in scoring in a PB win rate. Back to mares only is a plus and she can be thereabouts.

KOTARE ELITE (8) did not have the early hustle to hold them out last start and then was hampered when the leader hoisted the white flag at the home turn. She will need a slice of luck but can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: ETERNAL PROMISE (1), COOL AND CALCULATING (9), BLUE IVY (5), KOTARE ELITE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ETERNAL PROMISE (1) to win

RACE SIX

MONTANA CHIEF (1)
has been around the money of late, running some nice races and ticking the placings over. He found the line nicely here 2 runs back when 3rd and only 1m from the winner BLACKSADANCE. Angled to the pegs last start, he was pinned down and probing for an opening that did not eventuate. With the perfect trip, he can make the closing shot a winner here.

THEARTOFINFUSION (3) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last time out and was chasing gamely for the silver behind MAYWYNS COURAGE. Finishing over the top of them her 2 starts back at the mile, he loomed up and then powered away to score by 9m. He can get forward here to challenge.

BOHANNAN (4) has hit the board in 10 of his past 11 starts, the latest when grabbing the bronze after closing in good order behind IDEAL WORLD. Only a half-neck from BLACKSADANCE the start prior, he can feature again.

ROCKITA (6) continues to run foul of the barrier gods and will have to overcome gate 6 this time. A winner from gate 7 in a mares qualifier 2 runs back, she was game in defeat last start after doing it the tough way in the breeze. She is in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA CHIEF (1), THEARTOFINFUSION (3), BOHANNAN (4), ROCKITA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA CHIEF (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUR MADIBA (9)
was 1st up in Qld when starting from gate 2 and looking to take them all the way over the sprint trip. The lead came at an expensive 26.8 opener and then trying to fight them off in a 26.8 closer was grabbed late. Not suited at the 2138m last start, with even luck he can arrive against this line-up.

SLINGSHOT (1) tackled a qualifier here 4 runs back from this gate and was happy to release the speed and then chase home for the bronze. Last start he hustled to lead from gate 3 and then led throughout to a tidy win. From the gate, he can look to make the most of his opportunity.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN (2) was 2nd up in Qld last start when retreating from gate 6 to secure position. Settling in a rearward position, he was strong to the line as the widest runner and settling closer can feature in this.

BLUE MOON RISING (8) will take benefit from his latest outing when returning from a spell and angled to the pegs from gate 5. The soft trip looks on offer here and he can be ready to make a play.

SELECTIONS: OUR MADIBA (9), SLINGSHOT (1), TIMELY SOVEREIGN (2), BLUE MOON RISING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MADIBA (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3)
went straight to the front from gate 2 last start over the 2138m trip and kept them rolling out in front to claim a strong 4m victory. Forced to work hard first over the start prior, he was given a freshen following that run. Tightened from his last outing, he can press forward here to dictate.

BLUES TERROR (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe when locked away 3 back and searching for the gaps but unable to go on with it. Hitting the line strongly the start prior when wide off the track and only 2m from the winner OHOKA JIMMY, he can get the cosy trip to challenge.

KENSINGTON BILL (8) faces a tough time from this alley as he looks in danger of being pinned down on the pegs. Luckless from this alley last start when within 2m of the winner, he will be probing for openings.

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (2) will take great benefit from his 1st Qld appearance here last start when grabbing the silver behind SHANNONSTHEMAN. Moving to the front line is a big plus to his chances.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3), BLUES TERROR (1), KENSINGTON BILL (8), TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) to win

RACE NINE

MAJESTIC SIMON (11)
was 2nd up from a break last time out when working into a striking position from the 40m handicap. Unable to pick them up in the latter stages, he was 3m in arrears of the blowout winner KINGDOM COME. Within 2m of GARLAND GREENE when resuming, with the added fitness, he can bounce back.

BLAZING UNDER FIRE (6) makes a return to Qld after placing in the 2017 DJA Final. Striking trouble and banished to the trials last start, he has earned the return and given a trial here to prepare, there was plenty to like about the hit out after being a long way back before finishing off nicely. He can strike fresh.

GEE UP NEDDY (7) pressed forward from gate 6 over the mobile 2138m last start and found the front and was digging in when 1.5m from the winner GARLAND GREENE. His manners are a big plus and he can feature.

GARLAND GREENE (10) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start when facing the 50m tape over the 2647m. Overcoming the 40m tape the start prior at the middle distance, his record at the long trip is a nagging concern.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (11), BLAZING UNDER FIRE (6), GARLAND GREENE (10), GEE UP NEDDY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (11) to win

RACE TEN

4 Heats for this Final were held at Marburg on Sunday. Finishing 2nd in her heat LAVAZZA (9) started from the 2nd line and was wide the last lap and still making a closing challenge when beaten an eyelash on the line. Fitter for the run after she was 1st up since December without a trial, with even luck she can cash-in here.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (8) started from inside the 2nd line and with the right trip had the gap arrive at the right time and was able to sprint clear to take the win. Mid-field in a qualifier the start prior, he was a passing lane 2nd here 2 runs back from this gate and will be ready to take the snipers shot.

HIGH ON MONTANA (4) sat back in the pack in his heat and then with a slick tempo up front had the closing power to finish over the top of them. A smart winner here 5 starts back, he can feature.

DONNY JONES (1) speared out from gate 3 to press on to the front in his heat and keeping the speed on, held on for a narrow victory. He lands the ace gate and will be gripping on in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: LAVAZZA (9), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (8), HIGH ON MONTANA (4), DONNY JONES (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LAVAZZA (9) to win
