Please note that the QBRED Terms and Conditions for the 2021 season have been updated to clarify the “Additional Trotter” eligibility (progeny by Frozen Semen Trotters).

This update makes it clear that, in order to be eligible for QBRED as an ‘Additional Trotter’ a horse must be the progeny of a mare inseminated in Australia (with the semen of a Standardbred stallion registered with the QRIC and designated with the “TR” notation in the Standardbred Sire Index), and must be born in Australia.

Please note that this update does not impact the QBRED eligibility of horses that meet the ‘Transitional QBRED’ eligibility criteria i.e. progeny of a mare inseminated outside of Queensland (including overseas) but foal in Queensland, providing it meets all of the other conditions of a ‘Transitional QBRED’, including that it is the mare’s first QBRED eligible foal.
