Successful GCBF grants announced

Seven Queensland racing clubs will benefit from more than $180,000 in capital improvements after receiving funding through the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

In total, seven clubs will receive a total of $184,288.90 in grant funding to enhance their capacity in providing services, leisure activities and opportunities for participants.

The seven successful projects are:

Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club

Installation of custom made demountable building

Augathella Race Club

Purchase of mobile cold room trailer

Morven Race Club

$35,000

Purchase of tractor with loader

Monto Race Club

$24,400

Purchase of equipment

Mt Garnet Amateur Turf Club

Purchase of ground upkeep equipment

Mareeba Turf Club

Construction of ablution block

Cooktown Amateur Turf Club

Purchase of tractor

 

Round 109 of the GCBF is currently open, and Racing Queensland encourages all eligible clubs to submit their applications.

Applications close at 11.59pm on 30 April 2021.
