RACE TWO

Kept fresh since his last start IM LOKI (7) dominated his rivals through January where he remained undefeated in four appearances where his average winning margin was 15m. One from one here at Marburg, he can be sent forward and finds the opponents to make it five in succession.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2) was a Redcliffe winner four starts back when taking control from gate 1 and staying in front of her rivals throughout. Second line draws at her past two starts have not aided her cause and a return to the front can see her gripping on.

KAY NORA SHANNON (8) was buried in behind the speed here last start and never saw space to make a play. With a cart home she can be looking to grab some minor money in this.

ROCCO VARIETY (3) is on the back-up from Wednesday night at Redcliffe after a pair of midfield finishes where he was sent forward early. From the gate he can fire some early bullets.

SELECTIONS: IM LOKI (7), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2), KAY NORA SHANNON (8), ROCCO VARIETY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IM LOKI (7) to win

RACE THREE

On the one-day back-up DARBY BRIGHTS (2) looks a strong chance of being winless on this track Thursday morning to a two-time winner by Friday afternoon. Too smart for her rivals at Redcliffe two runs back with an easy victory, she is in form and finds suitable conditions to take this.

PACIFIC COIN (3) is on the two-day back-up after traversing The Triangle on Wednesday night where he loomed as a player from gate 1. A sharper return two starts back when making late ground to grab the silver can see him close to the action here to make a challenge.

STUDLEIGH MARK (7) has been to the Burg on two occasions for a win and a 2nd and from this alley should land handy in the running line. Not much went his way last start and he can be better here.

BATTLECRAFT (6) chalked up another minor placing last start to make it five minors from his past six. He has no favours from this alley where he will likely be buried in the run.

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (2), PACIFIC COIN (3), STUDLEIGH MARK (7), BATTLECRAFT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Working towards a victory after finishing as the runner-up in three successive starts, GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2) was able to cash-in last start when grinding out a tough victory when sitting parked over the Redcliffe sprint trip in smart time. He can press on with it here to repeat the win.

BONNIES CAM (7) was doing some early work last start when looking for position before receiving cover. Unable to go with them as DANGERZONE pulled clear for an emphatic win on The Triangle, it had followed successive placings. Despite the tricky gate, his record on this track is good.

TRUE STEPPER (1) takes her first look at this surface following a down the line return last start when trying to weave a passage. Finishing best over the 1780m the start prior, she will be probing.

ONE LAST ROLL (4) has just the one win on this deck but can also boast ten minors for an 85% top-three strike-rate. Buried from inside the second line last start, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2), BONNIES CAM (7), TRUE STEPPER (1), ONE LAST ROLL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2) to win

RACE FIVE

After a successful hit and run mission back in September, JELIGNITE JACK (5) returns looking to stay undefeated in Qld. Taking them all the way over the AP mile to break the maiden in smart time, he finds another winnable contest here and despite the wide gate can claim his QBRED bonus.

YARRAMAN ROCKY (2) is yet to miss the quinella in four attempts and steps out here fresh from a spell after landing the breakthrough victory at his last appearance back in November. Runner-up at his first three starts, he has early speed to be in the position to challenge.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (8) was beaten by gate 6 at Redcliffe last start when forced to retreat early before striking trouble in the run. The gate hurts again but she can be chiming in over the closing stages.

MELTON KILLARA (3) is on the back-up from Tuesday where she had a slice of luck in her favour, and she was able to take full advantage to score a 2m victory. Settling handy can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: JELIGNITE JACK (5), YARRAMAN ROCKY (2), IM A CLASSY GIRL (8), MELTON KILLARA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JELIGNITE JACK (5) to win

RACE SIX

After a string of wide front line and second line barriers, the tight alley will be relished by BULLDOG BRAWLER (1). Fading after getting keen in the run from the second-line last start, he was too far back after retreating the start prior. Darting through to protect the poles, he can look to dictate.

SHEREACTS (2) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start and sitting parked was trying to fight into the stretch when fading late as ROSIE ROCKS claimed the prize. Gate 6 was her undoing two starts back and with the strength to roll the sleeves can look to throw down a challenge.

MI FURIOSO TORO (5) was shooting for a hat-trick two starts back when everything went against him, and he finished down the line. Wide off the track last start, he can get forward to feature in this.

HIGH ON MONTANA (6) started from gate 1 last start and was trying to burrow through but ultimately had to settle for the pocket trail. He looks set for the same position and will be probing.

SELECTIONS: BULLDOG BRAWLER (1), SHEREACTS (2), MI FURIOSO TORO (5), HIGH ON MONTANA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BULLDOG BRAWLER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

GELDOF (1)
settled in the running line last start from gate 2 and was soon chasing but unable to eat into the deficit. Just 5m from the winner FALCONS two starts back, he has the hustle to keep them wide here and dictating can look to take them all the way.

BLAZE COOPS (9) made a costly error last start that ended her chances when trailing the field home over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Banished to the ODM two starts back after getting the start wrong, if she can recreate her performance of three back when attacking the line hard to score, she can challenge.

BRILLIANT ART (2) did it the tough way at Redcliffe two starts back when sitting parked and fighting them off to claim a smart win. Beaten by gate 6 last start, she can be in for the fight here.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (6) will be on the one-day back-up but will find the conditions more palatable from this alley. Not too far from RECIPE FOR DREAMING two starts back, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: GELDOF (1), BLAZE COOPS (9), BRILLIANT ART (2), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GELDOF (1) to win

RACE NINE

The second Marburg heat of this Series throws up a field of nine where just two of the contestants have previous experience at this track. B MAC C (8) won the first heat when sitting off the speed and charging home here on Sunday. A similar set-up looks to transpire, and he can be looking to power home again.

CALL ME KEITH (9) has returned from a spell in great order but is given no favours from outside the second line here. Sent to the front last time from gate 7, he controlled the early stages of the 2138m contest before pulling clear to claim an effortless win. He will be wide off the track to challenge.

LOVE YOUR WORK (5) will be fresh here following his last outing when sent to sit parked form the second line and packing too much heat for his rivals. He may need to roll the sleeves again for this.

ADAM CROCKER (7) resumes from a spell after his last appearance at the 2021 Winter Carnival when finishing 3rd to UNCLE SHANK. Better suited if rolling in front, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: B MAC C (8), CALL ME KEITH (9), LOVE YOUR WORK (5), ADAM CROCKER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: B MAC C (8) to win
