RACE TWO

Developing a smart record on this surface, the chance to tackle a qualifier has presented at the ideal time for SMOOTH CASH (8). Sent forward to find the front from gate 5 last start, he was too classy in pulling clear for a 10m margin with a further 7m back to 3rd. With three wins and two seconds in five attempts, the tempo should suit.

THE HERVEY BAY (3) comes into this after going around here on Wednesday night where he was able to press forward from this same gate and asked to work hard. Runner-up three starts back over he AP mile after being sent forward from gate 7, he can throw it down to them once again.

BETTATHANIDEAL (7) was angled to the pegs from the second line last start and was hoping for some luck when 7m from the winner. If Teddy does good, he will be in the ideal position to strike, just needs those factors in his favour.

TEDDY FEELS GOOD (1) made his first Qld appearance here five starts back from this same gate and got it all wrong when not handling the track. Runner-up in two starts since, if he gets it right, he can arrive

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH CASH (8), THE HERVEY BAY (3), BETTATHANIDEAL (7), TEDDY FEELS GOOD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH CASH (8) each-way

RACE THREE

With most of these runners all having limited exposed form here on The Triangle, SPEECH IS SILVER (1) should gain the most benefit after coming up with the ace marble. Shooting for the hat-trick last start when asked to grind out after sitting parked from gate 6, he can secure the ideal trip and stalking the speed make the closing shot a winning one.

TURN IT UP (2) will be returning from a break after his last appearance back in January when making ground from back in the pack to grab 3rd when 2m from L L COOL J. Taking them all the way at each of his previous two starts, he can pounce on the lead and will be trying to fight them off.

BLACKSADANCE (7) has placed in his two appearances here at Redcliffe, but it has been over two years since venturing up the Houghton Highway. Striking trouble last start, the inside second line is not ideal.

STAR GALLERIA (9) was resuming from a spell last week at his first Qld appearance when sent to the front soon after the start. Powering home in a 55.3 closing half untouched, the gate stings the repeat chance.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (1), TURN IT UP (2), BLACKSADANCE (7), STAR GALLERIA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEECH IS SILVER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Looking to claim a quartet of successive victories last start, SOHO SINATRA (1) was defeated by the gate when landing outside the second line. Put into the contest in the middle stages of the 2138m to roll forward to sit parked, he faded over the closing stages after the tough trip. From this gate he looks tough to stop.

BOMBADIER JUJON (7) was resuming from a spell from gate 5 last start where he never really got warm as COURAGEOUS SAINT closed out. Having just one appearance here at the Peninsula in almost two years, he will secure an economical trip here and be ready to take the snipers shot.

INFATUATION (9) was first up in Qld last start from the second line when attacking the line in smart fashion when a neck from the dictating winner BITCOIN. Look for him closing out once again.

THE IDEAL DANCER (2) eased from gate 5 last start to settle near the rear of the pack before making some nice metres in the closing stages. Runner-up at his previous two, he can settle handy to feature.

SELECTIONS: SOHO SINATRA (1), BOMBADIER JUJON (7), INFATUATION (9), THE IDEAL DANCER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SOHO SINATRA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky mares only contest to kick-off the main quaddie with the draw opening the race right up. Returning from a spell and taking her first look at The Triangle BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (6) can look to continue forward from the wide gate. Just 2m from JERADAS DELIGHT at her last start, she has a sound preparatory trial and can strike fresh.

JASPER (5) has only had the one start since returning for her 4YO term where she was beaten by gate 7 over the AP mile after retreating after the start. Runner-up to BIG WHEELS at this track at her last 3YO outing, the added fitness and front line can see her get forward to make a challenge.

SPIRITED BELLE (7) is three for three since arriving in Qld but is given no favours from this alley fresh up from a spell. Finishing over the top of them last start from the second line, she will be probing.

BLUE IVY (8) was shooting for the hat-trick here on Tuesday when working forward and finding the spot in behind the leader. Just a half-head from the winner, back to mares only suits.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (6), JASPER (5), SPIRITED BELLE (7), BLUE IVY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (6) to win

RACE SIX

Following on from an encouraging first up run where he was runner-up to JUDDY DOUGLAS after working hard in the run, CAPTAIN NEMO (1) comes up with the gate to take control of proceedings. Asked to grind it out on the sloppy track fresh up, he was dead game and can go one better here.

THE GENERAL (7) worked home from back in the pack last start in this grade of contest when grabbing the silver behind BARKWAY ARNOLD. Making a mid-race move to find the front before releasing at the bell over the 2138m two back, he will be stalking the speed ready to pounce.

OBI ONE (9) started from inside the second line last start and was soon hemmed away in the run before attacking the line hard to be just a half-neck away. Look for him charging late in this.

YEP GOT CHOOKS (8) found the front from gate 3 last time out over the mile but was unable to see it out when 4m from the winner. The poles could be the play here and darting down for the economical trip can help.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (1), THE GENERAL (7), OBI ONE (9), YEP GOT CHOOKS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1 / 7-8-9

RACE EIGHT

CROSSED LEGS (1)
started from this same alley last week in a second division event and soon after the start was hemmed away three back. When the chance came to work off the pegs, she was sent into open space and had the finishing power to arrive. With the cosy trip, she will be ready to snipe.

JEWEL OF PEAK (2) was put on an early march to get around them from the second line last start and was soon in front over the 1780m. Trying to fight them off, she was collared in the last strides as CROSSED LEGS swept home to score. The lead will be cheaper this time and she will be gripping on.

HAMMERTIME HARLEY (5) was shuffled to three back from inside the second line last week and the best she could achieve was a 5m deficit. Big in defeat the start prior, she can be thereabouts here.

CHARM OFFENSIVE (9) is a four-time winner here on her home deck and comes into this with a last start PB rate. Locked away on the poles, she charged home for a smart win and will be trying to swoop here.

SELECTIONS: CROSSED LEGS (1), JEWEL OF PEAK (2), HAMMERTIME HARLEY (5), CHARM OFFENSIVE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-9

RACE NINE

Unable to overcome gate 5 here last week, ROCK BOTTOM (7) comes up with the second line options and a tempo that looks strong. Runner-up two starts back when trying to take them all the way but collared in the closing stages, he can be ready to make the closing shot the winning one.

IT AINT THE MONEY (6) has been hitting some nice areas in recent starts and shoots for a hat-trick of wins and four from his past five. Powering up to take control from gate 4 last start over the 1780m, he was never in danger once in control. The gate stings but he will throw it down.

LOMBO HEAVEN (4) returns from a spell after his last appearance back in early December when finishing 6m from DEUS EX over the mile. With a sound trial, the query arises with this his first appearance on The Triangle.

OUR BONDI BEACH (2) eased to the poles here on Tuesday and when the lane presented, he did not get a clean passage in the 3m margin. He will be probing for closing gaps here.

SELECTIONS: ROCK BOTTOM (7), IT AINT THE MONEY (6), LOMBO HEAVEN (4), OUR BONDI BEACH (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Wide off the track when trying to eat into the deficit here on Tuesday GARLAND GREENE (6) had started from the 40m tape when trying to make ground. Asked to graft it out when parked the start prior, a return to mobile conditions suits and with the fitness edge can look to take a shot for victory.

RED CASTLETON (5) resumes from a spell after an Inter Dominion campaign at the back end of 2021. His best effort in that series was the 2030m heat when not far from eventual Grand Final winner MAORI LAW. Claiming a smart Menangle victory in the quasi consolation, he can challenge fresh.

DOUG (7) has been back to mixing his manners and form which puts him back into the risk file. Throwing his chances away last start from the tapes, if he can stay in stride, he can bounce back.

DO BALL (1) started from the 10m tape in a McNeil heat last start when buried in the run before finishing off in nice order behind MAJESTIC HARRY. The inside gate can help his cause.

SELECTIONS: GARLAND GREENE (6), RED CASTLETON (5), DOUG (7), DO BALL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GARLAND GREENE (6) to win
