RACE TWO

JOHNROD (8) continued to press on from gate 4 here two starts back and worked to the front. Once in control, he was never in danger to pull clear for a winning margin of 12m. Sent forward from the second line last start but fading over the latter stages, he can bounce back despite the gate.

TEACHERS PET (7) is in search of a winning hat-trick after wins here over the 1780m and then at Marburg over the 1850m last start. Able to lead on both occasions, she will be hemmed away for this contest but if the gaps open in time and she has track, she can make a play.

ROCCO VARIETY (5) has been placed at his past three in succession at Marburg, each time run down when leading. Collared by KAY NORA SHANNON last time, he can be in the mix again here.

DARBY BRIGHTS (6) has been in consistent form of late, hitting the board at her past 7 in succession and in 11 of 14 this season. The wide gate stings for this assignment but she will not be far away.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (8), TEACHERS PET (7), ROCCO VARIETY (5), DARBY BRIGHTS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (8) to win

RACE THREE

COPY WRITER (5)
will take further benefit from her latest start where she was second up from a spell. Easing across to find the 1x1 trail from gate 5, she was best of the chasers behind the smart winner CANT BLUFF YOU. With a fitness edge over the main rivals, she can pinch this.

BEJIGGITY (6) has hit the board in all five career starts but is given no favours from outside the front here. Fresh up since a last start 2nd back on February 3 when beaten an eyelash behind SHEZ NOTORIOUS, she can throw down a fresh challenge.

IMA CLASSY GIRL (2) should relish the opportunity to draw a tighter gate after a mix of second line and wider front-line alleys in recent starts. Placed behind the big winner CAPTAIN SHUFFLES last start, she has place claims.

SUZUKEE (7) resumes after close to 12 months off the scene, her last appearance when breaking the maiden status at career start four. With the economical trip, she can chime in when the gaps open.

SELECTIONS: COPY WRITER (5), BEJIGGITY (6), IMA CLASSY GIRL (2), SUZUKEE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: COPY WRITER (5) to win

RACE FOUR

SHADYS DELIGHT (1)
was buried away at Marburg from inside the second line last time out and never had the space to make a meaningful challenge. Charging home to grab the silver behind the smart BEACH MAGIC here three starts back when hemmed away, this looks the ideal set up for him to strike.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (8) was runner-up last start when firing off the arm from gate 6 to gind the pocket trail and then finishing within 2m of the winner BONNIES A ROCKIN. A passing lane winner here three starts back over the sprint trip, she can trail through early before making a closing challenge.

IMA BEACH BABE (2) should appreciate a return to his grade after wilting last start in a much stronger mare’s qualifier. A Marburg winner three starts back, she can make a play here.

DEVOUGED (7) will strip fitter from his latest start when resuming from a spell. Taken back from gate 5 to secure position, he never got warm. With the economical trip, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SHADYS DELIGHT (1), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (8), IMA BEACH BABE (2), DEVOUGED (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADYS DELIGHT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

GABBYS IDEAL (7) started from gate 8 over the 2040m here two starts back and had the closing power to swoop over the top of them to claim an extending 11m margin. Wide off the track last start when grabbing the silver, she looks set to stalk the speed here and be ready to snipe late.

FORGIVE ME (4) pressed ahead from the second line at Marburg two starts back to get outside the leader and then grind out a determined victory. Buried last time from inside the second line, sje can get handy here to throw down the challenge.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (5) burrowed through from gate 1 at Marburg last start to keep them wide and once in control was able to grip on for the win. The gate makes it tough here but he can feature.

FAIREACHDAINN (1) capitalised from this gate three starts back to take them all the way. Sent for a let up after her next run, she returned last start and threw away her chances with an error. The gate gives her every opportunity.

SELECTIONS: GABBYS IDEAL (7), FORGIVE ME (4), VIEWBYTHEROCK (5), FAIREACHDAINN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GABBYS IDEAL (7) to win

RACE SIX

MISS MIA (1)
was obliged to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start at Marburg and after the tough trip faded back through the pack. 6m away the start prior, again when doing it the tough way, she comes up with the options from the ace and gets her chance to capitalise.

LAVAZZA (4) bounced back to winning form at Marburg last start when taking full advantage of gate 1 over the 2200m trip. Rated perfectly early and allowed to amble through the opening half, she put it out of reach with a slick last 800m. The gate is tricky but she is going well enough to challenge.

RAANI (6) made a mess of the start here last time out, ending her chances before even reaching the starting line. Racing keen when parked at Marburg the start prior, she has the ODM embargo but positioning cheaply will help her podium claims.

MULLUM GUIDO (5) resumes from a spell after four starts to kick off his career have seen him hit the board on each occasion. Shut down after successive wins, he steps up against some experienced campaigners fresh.

SELECTIONS: MISS MIA (1), LAVAZZA (4), RAANI (6), MULLUM GUIDO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MIA (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8)
will appreciate the chance to utilise the passing lane, a position where he has found success previously. Working home wide out at Marburg from second line gates at his past four starts, the effort has been there and back to The Triangle he can grab a slice of luck to arrive.

VERMONT (4) has been hitting good areas in recent outings and lines up here after wins in three of her past four starts. Finding the pocket trail last start, she had space to avoid the pocket and arrive for a half-neck margin last time out. Despite the sticky gate, she can capitalise.

KAY NORA SHANNON (5) found conditions to capitalise at Marburg last start when working out of the pack to loom up and pull clear to claim a 3m margin. The gate hurts but she is up to the task.

FORTES IN FIDE (7) pressed ahead from gate 5 here last week to sit parked early before dropping to the fence as the field went into single file. Grabbing 3rd, he can enjoy a cosy trip again to feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), VERMONT (4), KAY NORA SHANNON (5), FORTES IN FIDE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

LIFEOFBRIAN (3)
was angled to the pegs last start and was soon buried in the run. From deep in the pack he was able to pick up some metres in the closing stages. Not suited off the second line at Marburg the start prior, he has been winless for some time but finds a chance to cash-in.

FIRE AND ICE (5) made the most of gate 1 here two starts back when firing off the arm to take them all the way. Snagging back in a much stronger contest here last start to find the poles, he was beaten by the tempo as PACIFIC DRUMS dictated. Despite drawing wide again, he can challenge.

SAILALONG SINBAD (1) stepped out in the Sunshine State for the first time at Marburg last time out when grabbing the bronze behind LAVAZZA. With the ace gate, he is right in the fight.

OYSTER STRIDE (4) tackled a second division qualifier last start where he sat in the 1x1 trail. Finishing 7m from THERESACHANCE it was a sound effort and positioning cheaply can feature.

SELECTIONS: LIFEOFBRIAN (3), FIRE AND ICE (5), SAILALONG SINBAD (1), OYSTER STRIDE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFEOFBRIAN (3) to win
