Racing Queensland advises that the Gold Coast Turf Club meeting on Saturday, March 5, has been transferred to the Sunshine Coast Polytrack.

The decision to transfer the meeting was made following the determination that there is no likelihood that the racing surface at Aquis Park will recover sufficiently in time for Saturday’s race meeting to proceed at that venue.

The transfer of the meeting has necessitated changes to some of the distances on the program. They are:

  • Race 1 – was 1800m, is now 2000m;
  • Race 2 – was 1800m, is now 2000m;
  • Race 4 – was 900m, is now 1000m;
  • Race 5 – was 1200m, is now 1100m; and
  • Race 6 – was 1200m, is now 1100m.

The transfer has also resulted in an adjustment to the starting limits of some races on the program..

Trainers should note that in accordance with RQ protocol (and wagering service operator requirements), any scratchings made prior to the race meeting being transferred are unable to be reinstated.

There will also be no fees applicable for scratchings made at the meeting, irrespective of the time they were transacted.
