RACE TWO

WHICH HUNT (4) had the speed to take control last start over this trip prior to releasing in the middle stages when the pressure was dialled up by GINGER MICKY forcing the issue. From the trail she was 1.5m away in 3rd, following successive placings, including a head 2nd 2 starts back. This looks hers for the taking.

REDS GOOD TO GO (6) had an early look to find a position last start before easing back to work into the running line. Working home in good order, it was a sound effort and had followed a 3rd after securing the pocket trail when chasing home behind BLACKJACK BART. The small field suits.

MOTU AMETHYST (2) should appreciate the improved gate here after landing gates 7, then 9 at her 2 career starts to date. Finding the line in good order last start to grab the bronze, she query is how she handles the 2138m.

SELECTIONS: WHICH HUNT (4), REDS GOOD TO GO (6), MOTU AMETHYST (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WHICH HUNT (4) to win

RACE THREE

IM THE COMMANDO (1) hasn’t been down victory lane for a while, however he hasn’t really found too many contests that suit his style in that time either. Loving to roll in front, he moves to the ace gate where he looks to get his chance. Not far away last start from the trail, it followed a tough effort over these conditions when sitting outside SIR FAHRENHEIT. He can bounce back hard here.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (8) had been building towards a victory with 3 placings in his previous 4 outings and was able to capitalise last start to cash-in. With a sharp tempo being carved out in front, he finished over the top to claim the prize. With the perfect trip looking available, he will be lurking and ready to strike.
MUSCULUS (5) started fav last time from the tapes over this trip when stepping to the front and trying to pinch it by running along out in front. Holding on for the silver behind the swooping WEE MAN TROUBLE, he is ready to strike and can challenge in this.

PATSDELIGHT (2) will strip fitter following her return to the track last time out. That was her 1st run in 10 months when holding 2nd behind SIR FAHRENHEIT. Tucking in behind, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (1), WEE MAN TROUBLE (8), MUSCULUS (5), PATSDELIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-2-5-8

RACE FOUR

OUR ULTIMATE BONNY (4)
joins the Donny Smith barn following a tidy 2nd on debut at Menangle. Securing the position behind the leader from gate 5, she was strong to the line behind the impressive winner JAY GEES DEVIL, holding a 7m margin back to 3rd. With the experience from the run, she can go one better.

MANILA PLAYBOOY (8) is on debut for Shane Fraser, with the Pet Rock gelding a half-brother to the winners BANGKOK BRAVADO and CHEESANDKISSES. Laying out a smart trial to prepare for his race debut, he will need a slice of luck from inside the 2nd line, but stays under watch here 1st up.

BIG WHEELS (9) has placed in 2 of his 3 starts to date, the latest when using the passing lane to grab the silver behind SHES MISS DEVINE. With even luck in transit, he can be chiming in again here.

NICKS PICK (3) isn’t far away from scoring a maiden breaking win, his latest effort a nice 3rd under the circumstances. Locked down against the pegs and holding on for 3rd, he can be in the mix in what looks a wide-open 2YO contest.

SELECTIONS: OUR ULTIMATE BONNY (4), MANILA PLAYBOOY (8), BIG WHEELS (9), NICKS PICK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR ULTIMATE BONNY (4) to win

RACE FIVE

This is a cracking race for a Tuesday card, attracting some quality up and comers. THE CRUISE MISSILE (3) has just the 3 career wins to his name, with all 3 when leading. Nabbed up the passing lane in a qualifier 3 starts back by SAM IS PERFECTION, he has been chasing at his past 2. With fitness and a barrier edge over some of the big players here, he can hit the target.

VIRGIL (1) is a quality 3YO resuming from a break following an interstate campaign that included a tilt at both the Vic and NSW Derbies. Progressing to the Vic Derby Final after a heat 3rd to LINE UP, he missed the NSW Final after those chasing were never a factor in his heat. Without a trial to prepare, he will take benefit from whatever he achieves here.

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8) made an error last start and lost all chance as the race fav. Looking for a hat-trick of wins in that after successive front-running victories, she will be probing for the gaps from this alley.

TIZ A SIZZLER (7) was sent for a break back in January when finishing runner-up to the smart 3YO filly JIGGLE AND JIVE after working hard in the run. Scoring successive wins leading into that final, he has opened the pipes nicely in a trial to prepare and will take benefit from this.

SELECTIONS: THE CRUISE MISSILE (3), VIRGIL (1), MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8), TIZ A SIZZLER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE CRUISE MISSILE (3) to win

RACE SIX

GINGER MICKY (7) was a big winner here last week when circling them in the middle stages of the 2138m from a 2nd line gate. Grinding it out from the breeze, he packed too many guns in the stretch duel to land a narrow head victory. That atoned for an off day when making errors 2 starts back and despite the gate, he can go again here.

BLACKJACK BART (3) was forced to do it tough last start over the mile and with the power on through the closing 800m, he was gripping on to claim the bronze behind the in-form BLACKSADANCE. Taking them all the way the start prior, he can get forward to throw down the challenge.

KYRONTA (2) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and never saw the space to issue a challenge. Not suited in the breeze 2 starts back, he has the early speed to find the right position to chime in late in this.

BETTERTHANAJEEP (8) made use of the passing lane last start, making the closing shot a winning one in breaking a long winless streak. With the confidence from the win and another cosy trip, he will be probing for space to offer.

SELECTIONS: GINGER MICKY (7), BLACKJACK BART (3), KYRONTA (2), BETTERTHANAJEEP (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Taking good benefit from his last outing when resuming from a freshen, BIG BANG LEONARD (3) lands the right gate and the right opponents to bounce back into some winning form. From inside the 2nd line last start, he was angled to the running line when closing out in nice style for the bronze. This looks ideal.

DEMETER (1) has been in nice touch since arriving in Qld and has been close up in mares races in all 4 starts. Arriving to claim a mares qualifier at her 1st outing in the Sunshine State, she has followed that with some stylish runs. Charging home to be within 2m of CHERRYS THE BEST last start, the gate is a big plus in this.

SIR JULIAN (6) turned in an uncharacteristic performance last start from the 2nd line when down the line behind RED CHARMER. Forgiving the run, he is never far from the action and can feature.

BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (5) was only beaten a head last start in a mares only event after the clear space just didn’t arrive in time. Hitting the line in good order the start prior, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: BIG BANG LEONARD (3), DEMETER (1), SIR JULIAN (6), BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG BANG LEONARD (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOLIGHTLY (5) resumes from a spell without a trial following his last prep that was only 2 starts to kick-off his racing career. Hitting the line in nice style on debut against some experienced campaigners, he took the benefit when breaking the maiden 2nd up. Looking to have some ability, fitness looks the big query.

CHEESANDKISSES (9) has been in nice touch since resuming from a break, with a win sandwiched either side of finishing the runner-up in 3 starts following her return. Closing hard from gate 10 last start, she was only a half-head away. Despite the 2nd line gate again, look for her swooping late.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (3) found the pocket trail from gate 4 last start when chasing hard to grab the silver behind FOND MEMORIES. 2nd up from a spell in that contest, with the added fitness she can feature.

ALBION ARK (6) was sent straight to the front last start from gate 4 over the mile and was able to get away with some easy sections in front. Gripping on in that contest, he won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: GOLIGHTLY (5), CHEESANDKISSES (9), SHEZ ALL STYLE (3), ALBION ARK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLIGHTLY (5) to win

RACE NINE

CHANGE OF MIND (8) will be needing a rub of the green from this alley, as he looks set to be pinned down to the pegs in transit. Securing the pocket trail in a vastly tougher event on Sat night, he made the most of the cosy trip to make the closing shot a winning one. Just needs space to arrive again.

CRACKA STRIDE (3) went straight to the front over this trip last start and once taking control had the power on to take them home with 5m to spare. Showing some improvement from his previous runs, that was a tighter gate at his 3rd run since switching barns. With benefit from the win, he can repeat.

BULL MARKET (4) started from this gate last outing when he couldn’t go with them in the closing stages behind CRACKA STRIDE. Not far away 2 starts back, tucking in just behind, he can swoop.

SABRAGE (9) should appreciate the return to this level of contest after securing successive wins at his past 2 outings. Better served when rolling in front as his past 2 wins have been, he is still in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CHANGE OF MIND (8), CRACKA STRIDE (3), BULL MARKET (4), SABRAGE (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
