RACE TWO

O B LEGAL (9) will take benefit from his race debut where he started from gate 6 and was sent forward and asked to race tough. In for the fight, he was game in holding on for the bronze when 6m from the winner MISTY CREEK. The gate is not ideal but trailing through can be ready to arrive.

TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when pegged away from an inside 2nd line gate. Only 5m from LEAP TO FAME the start prior, he was sent to the post as fav when making his race debut. Despite a sticky gate, this looks within reach.

ZARAS A TREASURE (1) had her first race start back in early March at Redcliffe when tackling older horses and holding on for 3rd behind DOCTA FEELGOOD. Back to her own age can see her in the mix.

SPEAK THE TRUTH (10) made his debut in the Breeders Classic consolation when working hard in the run and sticking on gamely behind the smart winner BANGKOK DEEJAY. He can feature here.

SELECTIONS: O B LEGAL (9), TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (5), ZARAS A TREASURE (1), SPEAK THE TRUTH (10)
SUGGESTED BET: O B LEGAL (9) to win

RACE THREE

A rare pacers stand start event here as they prepare for the upcoming Flashing Red feature. A first timer from the tapes, MISTERFREEZE (3) stepped cleanly in a recent trial and has been in super form in Sat night grade. Really finding the line strongly again last start after retreating from a wide gate, he can arrive here.

KENSINGTON BILL (2) returns from a break after his first campaign in Qld showed he was on the up with a top-3 in 10 of 13 appearances. Finishing best over the 2138m here 2 starts back, he has race experience from the stand although he does not have a victory. With some slick trials in readiness for the upcoming prep, he is right in the mix.

WATCH PULP FICTION (6) returns from a Victorian campaign where he scored some place money in claiming company but did not reach any great heights. A two-time winner from the tapes, he will be thereabouts.

TENNYSON BROMAC (7) has limited experience from the stand, but in those 2 starts has returned a win and a placing. Resuming from a break here, he was only 5m in arrears of the winner last start.

SELECTIONS: MISTERFREEZE (3), KENSINGTON BILL (2), WATCH PULP FICTION (6), TENNYSON BROMAC (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTERFREEZE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MONTANA CHIEF (8)
loves being saved for a closing rally off the speed and lands the ideal conditions here to deliver. Taken back in the early stages from gate 6 last start, he was making some nice metreage in the closing stages. Closing nicely behind CARDLESFROMHEAVEN 3 runs back, he will be ready to take the snipers shot.

CLASSIE AMERICAN (1) has not really had much go his way of late and with the ace gate gets his chance to make his own luck. Chasing home behind KATAMACH last start from the 2nd line, he attacked the line with gusto 2 starts back when only 1.5m from MISTERFREEZE. He is right in this.

PEMBROOKS PASSION (5) was put away following his last start over the flying Menangle mile when trailing the field home. Not too far away the previous start behind THE TEXAS RANGER, he has around with a smart Penrith trial in readiness for this.

ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (2) was 2nd up from a spell last start when banished to the trials with an issue. A smart winner 1st up over the Redcliffe sprint trip in strong time, he can look to bounce back here.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA CHIEF (8), CLASSIE AMERICAN (1), PEMBROOKS PASSION (5), ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA CHIEF (8) to win

RACE FIVE

RAANI (10) fired out from gate 1 here 2 starts back and from the front dictated the tempo to claim a 2m victory in a new career PB. Eased from gate 6 last start, she was trying to make a closing play when finishing midfield but still only 6m from the winner LOVE YOUR WORK. With some early heat she can arrive.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (4) steps up to the 2138m for the 1st time in his career off the back of a smart win here last start. Settling in a rearward position, when given his cue down the back stretch, he made a strong challenge, cruised past and then went on to score a smart win. Off the back of that he can challenge again.

CALL ME KEITH (11) was a smart winner here 2 starts back when finding the front and then taking them all the way for a smart win. His chances were destroyed when he missed the start terribly and will have to chase from this gate with the ODM embargo.

MAJOR LESTER (1) steps out in Qld for the 1st time for the visiting Morris barn and will be hoping the winter sun can turn his fortunes around. 3rd over the Menangle Mile 2 starts back, albeit 45m from the winner, the gate will aid his chances

SELECTIONS: RAANI (10), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (4), CALL ME KEITH (11), MAJOR LESTER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RAANI (10) to win

RACE SIX

This race looks a tough one to dissect with the 2138m a big query for quite a few of these. ITZ MAJOR RICH (3) was required to roll the sleeves last start for the tough stuff when racing first over when holding on for the bronze. Doing some work the start prior as DANCE IN THE SUN claimed victory, he can sneak away with this.

HELLO ITS ME (7) has a strong record at this distance and was a winner from the six-hole over this trip last time out. That was back in March where she was sent forward and was too gritty in claiming the prize. If forward enough in condition, this is within reach.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (10) was forced to do plenty of work last start from gate 4 in pressing forward to find position before fading late as MANILA PLAYBOY was far too good. Too classy in front the start prior, he can chime in here.

RINGOS A STAR (1) tackled the Triad consolation last start where he was settled at the rear from a 2nd line gate and never really warmed up as DYNAMIC DAN controlled in front. The gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MAJOR RICH (3), HELLO ITS ME (7), DOCTA FEELGOOD (10), RINGOS A STAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

RUN BOY RUN (9)
has hit some nice areas in recent outings as he enjoys his opportunities in the claiming ranks. Easing from gate 6 last start, he had too much to offer int eh closing stages when arriving to claim victory by a head. Tough in the breeze the start prior when shooting for a hat-trick, he can get the right cart into this to arrive.

CHANTREY (5) tackled open company last start at Redcliffe over the 2280m where he attempted to take them all the way. Fading in the closing stages after setting a strong tempo, a return to the claiming grade here looks ideal. Runner-up his previous 2, he can look to throw down the challenge.

DREAM TO SHARE (8) was down the line last start over the 2138m when making his 1st appearance back in Qld. With the benefit of the economical trip here, look for him slicing through late.

CLARRY (7) has no favours from the wide gate here for his debut back in the claiming grade but should relish the drop-in class. Charging home last start to be just a half-head away from MISTERFREEZE, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: RUN BOY RUN (9), CHANTREY (5), DREAM TO SHARE (8), CLARRY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RUN BOY RUN (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

He may not have the greatest of numbers next to his name but ARTHUR LOWE (2) has not had much go his way and with a change of barrier fortunes can turn it around. Kept fresh since his last appearance when retreating from a wide gate over this trip, settling near the action will be the play here.

CAUTIVAR (9) did his share of work in the run 2 starts back at Redcliffe when pressing forward early to secure position. Starting from gate 5 on sat night, he again was required to expend some early energy before only being 4m from the winner COMMODORE JUJON in a blanket finish. Trailing through early can see him challenge.

COMMODORE JUJON (5) looked in all sorts of bother here on Sat night but sticking to the inside was the play and he kept moving closer and closer until he grabbed the judge’s verdict in tight finish. Never far away, he is in the mix.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (4) was eased from gate 6 to find the pegs last start and locked away mate some ground to grab the bronze behind BAILEYS KNIGHT. Settling handy can see him feature here.

SELECTIONS: ARTHUR LOWE (2), CAUTIVAR (9), COMMODORE JUJON (5), COURAGEOUS SAINT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GOING FOR GOLD (3) will take good benefit from his latest offering when returning from a spell. Settled in the running line from a 2nd line gate, he was 5m from the winner LOVE YOUR WORK. He gives away inside advantage to one of his main dangers here, but he can return to the winner’s enclosure here.

OHOKA CHOPPER (2) steps out in Qld for the 1st time and brings 5 career wins to the table here. Last seen in Newcastle when working hard in the run from a wide gate to hold on for the bronze, it had followed a tidy effort when leading throughout over the Menangle mile. He looms large here.

ITS MR CLOONEY (7) has no favours from the car park gate but is in great touch as he looks to make it 4 wins in 5 Qld attempts. Finishing best to claim victory from the 2nd row here last start at the mile, it followed an all the way effort from gate 1. He will not be far away.

SCOTCH EN ICE (8) will need a slice of luck at some stage for a gap to open but he will be ready to take the chance should it arrive. 4th in the Triad behind MANILA PLAYBOY last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: GOING FOR GOLD (3), OHOKA CHOPPER (2), ITS MR CLOONEY (7), SCOTCH EN ICE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOING FOR GOLD (3) to win

RACE TEN

Tricky little event to end the day where the McMullen stable hold the key to the race with 3 good beginners all drawn in close. Getting a nice trail through this might be the right conditions for LIFEINHEAVEN (9) to swoop. Her record here on the big oval is not great but this race could profile nicely for her to bob up.

GUTS (1) settled in the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line over the Redcliffe 1780m and could not go on with it. 5m from LANCELOT BROMAC here 2 starts back, he lands all the options from this alley and with the right rub of the green can make a play for his 2nd victory here.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON (7) is only a 2YO tackling some far more seasoned horses here. 1st up from a freshen last start at Redcliffe, he did not look comfortable early and despite the wide gate, should enjoy the wider expanses here.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (8) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when using the passing lane to be 3m from ONLYSBEST. Charging late to be within a head of the winner 2 back, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: LIFEINHEAVEN (9), GUTS (1), OUR GEORGE BOSTON (7), BETTOR WATCH HIM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFEINHEAVEN (9) each-way
